After a week of not having any Yelp reviews because for some reason Yelp is still not in Hungary I couldn't wait to get to Prague and start checking in and writing reviews. Now to be honest I could have written a review or two but Budapest was so much fun I didn't really even try. Now that Yelp is fully functional in Prague no excuses remain. We found this Thai and Japanese fusion place down the street from our hotel. We were debating between a pizza place and this one and took a flyer on COA. Food was pretty good and service was on point. We ordered the pad Thai spicy and red curry with prawns and white rice. Prices are all in Czech Kronos and figuring the conversion takes a few but they help you out with a final euro figure. Prague I am guessing is a hidden gem just like Budapest and as soon as the Euro becomes the official currency my guess is prices in both cities will skyrocket so enjoy these places before they become the next Paris.

I have to say that this place really has very pleasant atmosphere and I really like the design but when it comes to food, I am not that sure. I have been to Coa a couple of times and I did have a few truly outstanding meals, especially their noodles but also some really poor. For sure, do not ever opt for take-away with this place as this was the time when the quality was the worst. In my opinion the place is overpriced and not good value for money. I am willing to pay such prices when the level of service is high and the meals are truly tasty but this is not the case. I believe that they are charging higher prices because thanks to its central location and really attractive exterior people feel tempted and come in. For me, however, it is not a place I would recommend.

I've been meaning to try this place for quite awhile ever since I first saw it across from the Palladium. I arrived around thirty minutes after they opened for lunch (11:30am) and there were actually quite a few people who were already around. I ordered something off of their special menu--fried udon with turkey steak for 149kc. The dish was actually pretty good. The noodles were in some sort of sweet and source esque sauce, and the turkey steak was nicely sliced up. Lots of delicious veggies in the dish as well. I was looking through the main menu and most of the things are definitely on the more expensive side. An entree easily costs at least 200+ kc. So pretty decent food, but not worth the price in my opinion. It's definitely very hip and trendy looking though. Waitresses speak English which certainly made my life easier since the menu is only in Czech save for a few words that I guess are difficult to translate from English to Czech.

Fried rice with chicken and homemade ginger ice tea.

Disapponting to say the least. Not very good food at this or any price for that matter. Would not recommend.

Ambiance is awesome but the food is too bad. I ordered chicken satay with spring roll and beef with cashew and it wasn't good.

Sansho - Tom Yum cocktail rocks!

Chef's starter was a perfectly grilled pork neck. And then it kept getting better from there - Bloody Mary oyster shooter, salmon sashimi with citrus, soy and sesame (a standout) pork belly, lamb wrapped in what can only be described as two leaves that resembled the taste of black pepper and mint (unreal!), razorneck clams in a yuzu broth with grilled bread, soft shell crab sliders with horseradish on bao, and grilled pork with papaya salad and coconut rice (perfection!). Add to it wonderful cocktails and you have an amazing experience. Did I also say that our server was incredible and the price was incredibly reasonable at $70/person? Because he was and it was! Would come back again and again.

We know it was from Sansho because it was the only common item we had over the past few days. I love this place and it really makes me upset to leave a review like this because it really is an awesome spot. At the end of the day if there is a Michelin star and dining prices are this high, there needs to be an expectation on food safety habits which this boils down to.

    Asian Temple - Bami Goreng

Food: I ordered the Bami Goreng, which is an Indonesian noodle dish, similar to pad thai. I have to say, it was actually quite good, as the noodles were cooked well and I have no complaints about the chicken and veggies in the bowl. The portion size was decent, although it was definitely a bit overpriced, at 499 CZK (~22 USD). Environment: It is very clear that this place is catered toward tourists. The decor is sort of a lavish yet tacky / stereotypically Asian style. For example, there is a gold Buddha statue, bamboo, fish tanks, and more along those lines. That being said, in all honesty, it was actually a kind of nice and comfortable environment. There is dim lighting with red accents, creating for an intimate vibe. The restaurant has a large interior. In addition to dining areas, there are also lounge areas for people to just chill / hang out. Service: The staff are friendly and the service speed is quick. This was probably helped by the fact that there were only a handful of other tables occupied when I was there. Overall, I have to first give Asian Temple credit for actually serving food late at night, unlike other places that (even if they appeared open) had their kitchens close early. On top of that, the food and environment were surprisingly good. It's definitely a touristy (and therefore kind of overpriced) place, so I wouldn't recommend specifically planning to come here, but if it's late at night or for some reason you really just want Asian food, then Asian Temple is a decent choice.
