Banh mi heo nuong (pork sandwich)

So happy to have this place on the street where our hotel was located! I was so excited for Vietnamese food! We had been on vacation for a while and I was craving something from the motherland. Even though this place looks modern and there are non-Vietnamese people behind the counter, the food is delicious and completely authentic. The menu has a great concise overview of the most popular dishes you would find at a typical restaurant. There's sandwiches, noodles, spring rolls, etc. The banh mi is just like something I would find in the US. They have all the necessary ingredients to make it an official Vietnamese sandwich. I would skip the spring rolls (#1) though. The dipping sauce was horribly chalky in my opinion. Not good at all. I probably got them on a bad day. We loved the #6 (bbq pork) and #8 (pate) sandwiches! Order those! My husband and I went back here twice and even packed some for our trip to Budapest. Great prices, wonderful flavors, and great menu.

Prague's Asian food is lacking, but with Vietnamese it gets it right. The place is super cute, and the menu is limited to banh mi, noodles, and spring rolls, although I enjoy that. The food tasted fresh, especially with the baguette of my pork banh mi, and my friends were super happy with the noodles they got. The service is quick and the food's a good price for the quality you receive. Definitely going back!

Don't do Asian in Prague Czk 130 per Entree Accepts all major credit cards Saturday Lunch No wait The weather was chilly so we were hoping they might have pho (which they didn't unfortunately). Wasn't really looking for Asian food, but stumbled in here. Food was ok, but not great. They didn't have the chicken soup dish so we ordered the #2 (beef vermicelli) and #3 (pork vermicelli) dishes and some summer rolls. The summer rolls didn't have any mint and came in a set of three which was a bit awkward. I've always been served them in pairs. Combine this with the fact that the entrees were very large portions and we were unable to finish our meals. The quality of the meat was a bit sub-par. Wish we had spent a bit more time doing homework. Meal was passable but we will not be doing a repeat.

For about $12, my sister and I each got a beer and split a beef banh mi and an order of spring rolls! The service was friendly and fast and the food was GREAT. The spring rolls were huge and came with a soy peanut sauce that I loved so much I was drinking it from the bowl. The banh mi had perfect crispy bread, lots of crunch pickled vegetables, and some kind of herb aioli that was in great contrast to the vinegary pickle of the vegetables. Overall, I had an excellent experience here and would absolutely recommend it!

I LOVED this place for lunch! The service was extremely quick, food was delicious, and the prices were very cheap for such good food. I got the tofu Bahn Mi and summer rolls with a Vietnamese coffee. I would highly recommend this spot!

Tastes just like back home (Calif Bay Area) nice bread on sandwiches and pretty decent pho. Glad we found this place near our hotel.

We walked past Nostress and after seeeing the crowd here, we knew this was the place to sit for a bit. The shear amount of the different pastries, open face sandwiches, breads and anything else you can think of is staggering with new additions coming out regularly. I am not sure what the items we ate were called but they certainly looked great and that alone was a reason to order them. I sharred one item with a cheese and almonds. It was amazing. My wife had some amazing-looking cookies. The coffee was delicious and hot. My only issue abroad is that the amount of coffee served is much smaller than back home. We are so used to getting large portions of everything. Another reviewer said that it had the look and feel of a French Bakery which was perfect. There is no question that if I am back in prague, Nostress is on the must-visit list.

How can you not try a place with a name like that? Saw the bras hanging as we walked in, made me chuckle. We were seated right away, in a small room with a fair amount going on. I picked the Jim Morrison along with the fries and lovely K had the Janis Joplin, also with fries. Both choices were a very good sized portion with a good amount of fries. The JM stated it's spicy, and it was indeed so. The JJ is also a good sized portion, but it had too much going on for K. What really let the meal down was the fries. They were not hot, and had been cooked too long. The outside was crispy with a good crunch, but the interior was not what we were looking for. Could have been epic with nice fries, but they missed the mark by just a bit.
