Moorland Road and the surrounding area seems to have more than is necessary in the way of…read moresupermarkets, with a big Co-Op, a new Sainsbury's and, finally, this McColl's. It's certainly the worst of the bunch, there's less to choose from, it's more expensive and quite often the staff are just downright rude. My particular distaste for the place began when I was asked for ID when buying a single bottle of wine. I'm 27 and I have a thick beard, the thought that I might be under 18 is quite honestly laughable. The shop assistant proceeded to tell me in a rather rude fashion that he had to ID everyone under 30, no exceptions. Ridiculous. I took my business elsewhere and I haven't been back since.
