The story I always tell about Dan that will give a clear picture of how amazing he is - is the following. We had just had a major hurricane come through and a rather large tree had fallen on our shed, destroying it. Dan promptly came out to examine the damage. This is not the extraordinary part. As he was leaving he noticed we had carpet out front for the trash. He inquired about it and we explained that due to power loss our sump pump was not working and our basement flooded. However, I was then connected to the local Annapolis office. The agent there was terrible; he increased my auto insurance coverage beyond what I said I wanted without my permission and then basically tried to scare me into keeping the more expensive coverage. I decided these were not the people I wanted to work with so I took my business elsewhere. Lo and behold, a few months later, I started getting bills for the home insurance policy through Geico. I called and cancelled the policy and was told that it would be backdated so that I would owe no money since I have an actual policy with a company that treated me with dignity and respect, unlike the local Geico agent. However, I recently got a bill from a collection agency for this nonexistent homeowners insurance that I never actually signed up for. At lot of wasted time and energy has gone into getting this policy that I never wanted cancelled. I recommend looking elsewhere for an insurance agent.

This (USAA BANK) business will take your money and present itself as an electronic bank but not…read moresend you timely notices and caused me to incur an early termination fee of over $2000 because they did not notify me that a CD had renewed until one day after the grace period had ended, and I called immediately (within minutes!) so they should've notified me the day it renewed not the day after the grace period was over. They say they notified me one month ahead of time that it was going to renew but after that no reminder. There was no timely way to respond or change and just for reference, the current rate for a 15 month CD is 4.0% from some institutions with the 15 month term and they were offering me 1.6%. No wonder they didn't notify me until after they legally have to make Noah accommodation. It's dishonest and immoral. Don't do business with them. I have several cars and multiple homes insured with them and I expect more from a relationship like that. It was so exactly the minute the grace period had ended that I have to think that it was deliberate and intentional.
