Honey Tenders.
Syed S.

This is probably my favorite KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) restaurant in Columbus. I had not been to this location before, and it is a little bit smaller than the one on Bethel Road. The service was fast and efficient, and our to-go order was ready sooner than promised. The chicken "travelled well", and was still hot and crispy when we had it at home 20 minutes later. We ordered the Garlic Soy drumsticks, the Garlic Spicy wings, and also the Honey Garlic tenders. The tenders were just ok, but the drumsticks and wings were both delicious. The spice levels were not overwhelming, so I may try a spicier sauce on my next visit.

WOAH! This exceeded my expectations in every way possible! I never order fried chicken but have been seeing such great things about CM Chicken. I ordered the Curry Chicken with Snow Onions and my husband got the Garlic Soy Chicken. Both were delicious! The creamy sauce and onions works so well! Portions were also huge!

I'll start with saying the menu was a bit challenging to understand, very confusing. The dish I ordered required rice however they were out so I had to get onion rings instead. Our server, Jim was extremely attentive and had a corky personality. However, the owner herself stood at the counter the entire time with a extremely hateful look on our face. Even while walking past her to go into the restroom, she didn't even crack a smile or say hello. The decor is ferocious to say the least with fluorescent orange walls, a pink and lilac, tulip flower arrangement, red and pink, fuzzy candy shaped pillows, not to forget the floor was absolutely filthy, and when you walked across it, it felt like you were walking on fly paper as it was so sticky!!! I literally had to clean the bottoms of my shoes when I got home. Not sure how they passed health inspections with those conditions. The food was so so, nothing special, actually Cane's chicken is much better and half of the price. I was let down to see they didn't have any kind of dipping sauce only an overly sweet soy liquid dip. My entrée had a huge sloppy pile of onions on top, still don't understand that....it did not pair well with chicken. The calamari was just OK. It was loaded down with fried bell peppers and served with soy sauce. But, I will say my onion rings were delicious!!! The restaurant was extremely humid, and the booths were made of wood, no padding whatsoever, which was extremely uncomfortable as you had to sit straight up and down. Basically, they took a shortcut. I really don't recommend this restaurant, sorry I didn't want to like it.

Best fried chicken I have had in a while. Extremely flavorful and crispy. The service was quick. The place was clean.

Service was 5 star. Chicken was really nice. Onion rings were just a little soggy but not bad

I've been meaning to try Korean fried chicken for a while and I'm glad I tried this place first. They have a bunch of different flavor options, as well as different ways to be prepared as well as different chicken piece options. I've never had curry-flavored fried chicken and I think it was my favorite one. The online ordering methods should be illegal. All of the options, such as DoorDash, say a $0 service fee, but if you compare the prices with the store menu, each item is $2 more expensive. So if you get multiple things you are overpaying by a lot. If you order directly from the store, you also get hit with a service fee. The food is pretty expensive until you realize how big the portions are, so you might need to order less than you thought. Inside was clean and the staff was nice. I will probably order over the phone next time to save on service fees.

Tonight I decided to get the Korean Ramen and the Mandu, which is a version of their dumplings that are fried. If you look at my reviews, you can see how many of them are for Asian food lol. I have to admit I wasn't crazy about either one. I love dumplings, and when I saw they were fried, I thought it would be pan fried like other dumplings that say fried. These were deep, fried and crunchy however, and I didn't really like them that much. The Ramen itself is pretty plain. The broth seems like a spicy egg drop soup poured over noodles with a little bit of green onion. It definitely was not too spicy, and the broth was flavorful, but I was bored after a few bites. Customer service upon picking up the food was very friendly and quick. I am a bit upset that I didn't realize if you order online on their website, they still charge you a $2 service fee... For that I would have just called in had I known. This review itself is not the best representation of this place, since I have had better meals, and I would go back to try different things, but overall I was pretty disappointed.

Amazing gem in Columbus! I am a massive Korean fried chicken fan and wanted to introduce my fiancé. There is one place where we live near STL but even that is a bit far from us so we haven't been yet. We were in town for a wedding though and I convinced him to stop... on the way home. So with me as the designated "feeder," we happily munched on spicy kimchi, rice, two kinds of fried chicken tenders, and fries. Everything was seriously phenomenal. We went all out and I have no regrets. It was messy in the car but they offer gloves which I took full advantage of. I also want to shout out the service as we did pickup but the server was very kind and friendly. My only regret is having to get tenders instead of half a fried chicken (fiancé's choice as it would be easier to eat while driving). Next time, however, we will. Do not pass this place up. Get the garlic soy chicken and their kimchi!!

This was my first time trying Korean fried chicken and I was blown away. The crunch!!! The flavor!! The chicken was amazing. We started with their snow salad. I had no idea what to expect. The dressing is very similar to a coleslaw dressing. I liked it though! We then got spicy garlic tenders. These were more like boneless wing size, but the portion was big. If this was on the shallow side of spice, I don't even want to know how spicy their really spicy menu items are. These had a kick. Lastly, we had drums of their soy garlic. These were my favorite. They had such a good crunch and flavor. The space is small, but fine. The KPop music playing is pretty loud though. The service is fast as there wasn't anyone else in there.

Ordered fried qizzards. They were tasteless and too hard to eat. Hurt inside of mouth. Would not visit again to try anything different.

First time here and definitely will go back! I ordered six chicken wings and side of onion rings…read more The wings were very meaty and tasty. The onion rings weren't sliced thick which was a disappointment to me. Hubby ordered a side salad which he really enjoyed and a Ruben. He thought the Ruben was a bit dry thinking only one slice of bread had dressing on it. Ambiance was nice with lots of low tables and TV's and The Simpson painted on a huge wall. There's a huge outdoor seating area which would be perfect when the weather is nice. Service was good!

So I wanted to wait a bit before I left this review because I was annoyed!…read more So I seen this spot on TikTok and was intrigued so bae and I came by! Our waiter was pregnant and super nice and explained the menu and the layout of the bar!! I ordered deep fried pepperonis to try as an experience because I've never had that and I was curious. NASTY SHOULDN'T HAVE GOT IT SENT BACK! They have a doggie ice cream vending machine which is really cool and patio u can chill with your puppy dog on with and they have like game room where there are pool tables, darts etc things u will see in a bar! I walked in like aw a bar let's see what it's hitting for! I was excited to try the flaming hot Cheetos wings and the Grippo wings! So bae and I placed a very large order of wings! I asked if they will charge $1 per 6 wings for flats she said no they will charge just a $1 for the whole order of wings cool (or so we thought). Bae got 12 wings: 6 lemon pepper, and 6 flaming hot wings; I got 24 wings: 12 flaming hot, 6 grippo, and 6 something that starts with an F. Me and Babè tried the flaming hot Chito wings, and they were disgusting. It did not taste like the chip at all so we had them returned, which was a total of 16 wings. Yes, I know that is a lot but it was disgusting and I shouldn't have ordered 12 of the flaming hot for myself, but I could not allow myself to take something home that I wasn't going to eat Now the Grippo's and I do apologize but the other flavor of wings you can see in the picture. They were really delicious. Babè loved his lemon pepper wings as well and then we also got a basket of fries. On the menu, there was some pretzel twist that I wanted to try but when they brought it out, it was a Bavarian pretzel and I was a little confused, but I didn't mind it. I ate a little bit of it, broke it down and took it home also on the menu there was a doggy burger. You can either choose a chicken patty or a beef burger I think so I decided to get my dogs a little little treat; the beef burgers they were five dollars apiece. So in the picture, you will see two containers that has some chopped up meat in it. That is what they are calling the doggy hamburger or chicken patty. There was barely any meat I could have went to McDonald's and bought 10 cheeseburgers and had more meat than what I received for $10 in these two containers I didn't even bother to give them to my dogs. I have big dogs I have mastiffs so I decided to give that meat to the geese that live in my neighborhood. I was so over it that I spent $10 on that and who said that I wanted the meat chopped up like I have over 100 pound dogs why would you give me ground beef versus a whole patty? Just my train thought if it's for a dog! So when it was time for us to check out, they had comped the deep fry pepperonis cause I didn't like them, and then the manager came to us and said that he will give us 50% off for the flaming hot wings so when I got my bill. I was a little taken back by the price. We were originally quoted that they were only gonna just charge us a dollar per all the wings but no, they still charge me a dollar per six wings so in total we ate a total of 16 wings out of 34/35 wings so we got three $1 dollar charges. Then I tipped $40 because I like the waitress she did do a really good job and the owner was nice But if I was already gonna pay 50% for the wings, I might have just kept the wings and just rinse them and did what I wanted to do with them in my own house for my bill to be $105 when I left No, the owner did have us try. His flavor of wings with the white barbecue sauce and it's another flavor of wings with it as well but they were nasty. We didn't like them. Will me and Babè come back of course we will probably come back and just purchase the lemon pepper and the grip of wings but I guess that's just part of learning a new place figuring out what it is that you do and don't like is the ambience something that I like no, I will probably just order for takeout. They do have over 26 different sauces that you can try and blend to make your own wings the way that you like them to be and then on certain days is Dollar wing night she did let me know, but I can't remember what day it was so I do apologize. You guys parking was a little hard as it is a very small parking lot. But you go check them out post your pictures. Tell me about your experience and we'll see you on the next one.

Crunchick - chicken sandwich with fries

Crunchick

ROTATION REVIEW: CRUNCHICK (First Visit)…read more Rotation Rating: Stays in Rotation -- Craving-Specific *When this place makes sense: When you're specifically craving fried chicken with real crunch and sauce-forward flavor and don't want to overthink it. This is a lean-in, two-hands kind of meal. *What I ordered: The SoyPapa Chicken Sandwich -- brioche bun, fried chicken thighs, soy garlic sauce, Swiss cheese, scallions, serrano. *Texture + cook: The chicken is very crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside -- passes the tender-ism check easily. The fry is spot-on and cooked exactly how you want fried chicken to be. *Flavor reality (clear comparison): The chicken itself isn't heavily seasoned -- if it's seasoned at all, it's subtle. Think Raising Cane's logic in that sense. The difference is execution. This is better than Cane's because the cook is excellent, the texture holds, and once the sauce is added, everything comes together in a more intentional way. *Sauce + build: The sauce is balanced, pleasant, and flavorful -- not overpowering. The ingredients actually complement each other instead of competing. *Bread check: The brioche bun is a chef's-kiss touch. It holds the sandwich together and maintains the integrity of the build without falling apart, which matters with a sandwich like this. *Portion check: The portion size is fair and satisfying -- generous without crossing into Good Burger-level Mondo Burger territory. Enough for one very hungry person, or easily shareable between two, in my opinion. Ambience + setup: Located inside Bubbly Hall, the space is casual and food-focused -- easy pickup or a quick dine-in without fuss. Would I order it again? Yes. And I'd be open to trying other sauces or menu items now that I know how their chicken eats. ‍ Bottom line: Crunchick does texture and fry quality very well. The chicken is neutral by design, the sauce brings the flavor, and the brioche bun ties it all together. Know what you're craving going in, and it earns its place in rotation.

I was in search of boba which lead me to Bubbly Food Hall.... The boba took a bit so I wandered…read morearound. On then opposite of the hall was a vendor called Crunchick, with free samples. Decided to try one. Took it and walked back to get my boba. The sample was so excellent I got my boba and returned back to shamefully get another sample. I know... thats not nice taking two... but the second sample was even better as I used a different sauce and decided this fried chicken was worth the calories and ordered the OG original crunchick sandwich. This sandwich was huge. Its menu write up say it is to have two fried chicken thighs but I found it to have a bit more. The chicken itself had a creat light crunch to it. The breading was perfect. Not too greasy, either. He said it had a secret sauce (that was like Cane's -but I didnt taste it as I doused it with the white garlic sauce... uh, YUM!). Plus pickle and lettuce were also on it. Delish! The owner takes pride in constructing the perfect sandwich, so it's wrapped nicely and the lettuce is placed so it adds to the presentation. I really liked the owner. Its always a plus that its a locally owned business. It seemed to be the busiest booth is the Bubbly Hall. I hope Crunchick does well as I feel the hall hasn't been embraced by the community, which is weird. Tbo. The hall just has a odd aesthetic, but not a bad one, just a weird use of space. It lacks something. However dont let that deter you as Crunchick will not disappoint you. Parking is free... park on the side closest to the hardware store as that is the side of the hall Crunchick is closest to. Ps: They have fries too... I didn't get them but when I saw them I wish I had. Next time!
