The Melly M. review posted here on Yelp is highly offensive, elitist classism at its finest. This prejudice is nauseating display of 'moral superiority' at the expense of the hard-working Americans who choose to gather together, in the spirit of friendship, to unwind, enjoy camaraderie, and a tasty beverage in a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. The patrons of The Clubhouse do not deserve to be insulted, without their knowledge, publicly, by anonymous, spite-filled, and judgmental elitists who feel themselves superior to their fellow Americans.
This kind of CLASSISM should be PANNED by Yelp, not supported. I find the references made to the wearing of 'pajamas' and finding someone to 'sleep with' reprehensible, unnecessarily demoralizing and humiliating, and at its evil core: Public Class Shaming. This reviewer not only judges the customers of this establishment to be of low class in their 'pajamas', but she then paints them to be sexually promiscuous and subtly implies that they may be without moral compass.
People across America have been mingling with one another in public establishments for hundreds of years, at the 'shining beacons of class' like a 'respectable' establishment, such as, The Tavern on The Green in Central Park, all the way 'down' through the levels of the elitist superiority caste system, to the 'lowly' local McDonalds, and The Clubhouse is no different from anywhere else where Americans gather in shared bonhomie.
To Class Shame the customers of The Clubhouse, and the establishment itself as 'tacky' place, filled with 'promiscuous' patrons is *precisely* the type of PREJUDICE that divides this nation, and it should be EXPUNGED from Yelp, 'not held up on high' on the ruleless, etiquette-free, 'Wild West' of The Internet. To allow Class Shaming to be posted here on Yelp is to normalize it, give it voice, and subversively support it, and the knowledge that Yelp would willingly play a role in the social subjugation of hard-working Americans is DISGUSTING.
Yelp should do its due diligence to help IMPROVE this American Nation that it 'serves', not support its rending.
To anyone else out there who may be reading these reviews-- good people, with kind hearts: head on down to The Clubhouse, where the atmosphere is relaxed, the beverages are tasty, and *EVERYONE* is welcome! read more
