6 months ago I left a review about the cleanliness of the gym & I just have to come back and say that this gym has improved with the cleanliness. And I want to say that the daycare staff is incredible in making sure the kids are entertained and safe. The manager Jennifer is amazing, I love that when a baby cries they actually pick them up and interact with the kids in diffusing the situation before calling. As a postpartum/ stay at home mom the staff does a great job putting me at ease leaving my kids there to go work on myself and I'm sooo grateful for this gym and have convinced a friend to get a membership as well. read more

This has been the worst customer service experience I have had with any business. After multiple conversations regarding personal trainers and the lack of them. I tried to cancel apparently there is a form that must be filled out you can't just speak to corporate manager. After months of not attend I start getting collection letters upwards of $800 for personal training sessions I have never received. Their practices and customer service are beyond terrible! No one has solutions they just repeat policies that customers don't know because we are not employees. There is zero effort to solve a problem or look at a situation and say well why are we charging when services are not being rendered. I have been a member at the Murphy location for several years, and the state of the club is going down hill very quickly. A large number of pieces of equipment are broken or out of service. Some have been broken since October - though you can't really trust the accuracy of the dates provided on the signs, since they seem to get updated without anything getting fixed, then re-breaking. Additionally, the fitness classes have separate rooms and equipment to use, yet they insist on using space and equipment meant for non-fitness class use. As a result, people who don't participate in classes can't workout. read more

I have been a premium plus member for over 3 years and love this gym! The kids club and group classes are amazing!

This gym has amazing potential. The amenities are wonderful and the equipment is great. The staff is super friendly. The reason I give it 2 stars is the insane amount of children (high school ish age) that go to hang out. They take up all the machines and stand around chit chatting and playing on their phones. You will see groups of 4 or 5 at a time hanging around one machine for 30 minutes or more. It is like an afternoon hangout for kids. I will be canceling my membership and going elsewhere for this reason. Can we get a 21 and up gym? Or limit the available times for the $10/per month memberships? read more

Joined C4F in Murphy, TX in November 2023, visited C4F for the first time subsequent to joining after receiving an email about a billing issue on 12/15/23. Approached the C4F front desk. I was dressed professionally, not in workout gear or carrying a gym or type of bag asked to use the bathroom before moving on to handling the billing issue. The CF4 front desk staff refused the opportunity to use the restroom despite the fact I was a member with an error billing issue in club trying to resolve the issue after I used the restroom. The C4F front desk staff interacted with were Crystal, Mikalee, James, an unnamed trainee (first day), and subsequently withC4F local gym and regional manager Paul Lewis that in a word was collectively ..."Awful". C4F front desk staff Mikalee stated..."it's against club policy to allow anyone to use the restroom that is not a member." Later in discussion with C4F local gym and regional manager Paul Lewis he too was unable to point to a specific C4F policy that precluded or prohibited the use of the restroom as a courtesy. To add to this horrible experience C4F local gym and regional manager Paul Lewis, refused seven prior requests to provide the name or contact information of his manager or supervisor. Mr. Lewis resisted every step of the way to provide his direct chain of command management contact information. On the eight request the following transpired. After sharing with Mr. Lewis his refusal to provide a legitimate business request for information related to his direct manager would not be wise, Mr. Lewis provided contact name of s.hortolomei@club4fitness.com as the C4F - Director of Operations. It appears from the reply " Business owner information Stephanie S." is really p.lewis@club4fitness.com evidenced by his "I" word in the reply.... WOW! I like the gym and come in the morning at 8am. It's not crowded and easy to get a workout in. Why I gave it 2 stars was because when I signed up I did the middle package and paid the initial fees ($100). After coming for a few months I never used the amenities besides the weights. I went to ask to downgrade to the $10/month membership and was told they can't do that. I would have to cancel and repay the fees. Makes no sense to have to pay for fees I already paid for. The person at the desk even said "they do that on purpose" to make more money off people. Kind of sucks that you can't just downgrade your membership without having to pay another $100. Unless you 100% are going to take classes, use the red lights, or hydro don't do anything past the $10/month membership. read more

I love the gym itself and all it has to offer however it's always dirty. The floors are filthy with paper towels, empty water containers, handprints on the mirrors, and just debris. The bathrooms mine as well be a porta potty. The smell is just beyond words. I've had my membership for 3 weeks and I don't think the floors have been mopped or vacuumed once. The staff is pleasant but only speak if you speak first. I think the owner would be disappointed if they walked in. read more

I visited this club in the middle of January 2024. Saw some staff that use to work at Texas Family Fitness had joined at Club 4, and he was helpful as he always was. The facility was in great condition with so much space to workout. I didn't feel like anyone was in my way. Toward the end of my time, I asked the front desk for some help with their hydro massage chairs and they let me use for free for my first visit. It's the little things that make the greatest difference. I'll be back to the Murphy location for a visit when I'm on that side of town again. read more

For a gym that appears to give the message they are supportive of military members, they are far from it in my experience. I was a member at this location for a couple years. In November, I brought an active military friend to work out with me while he was in town. He applied online to get a 3-day guest pass. My friend arrived with me and showed his ID. He was told by manager Paul at the desk that due to his address not listing Texas, they could not give him the pass and that he would need to pay. My friend went back and forth and said the website does not say that. The staff member was rude and embarrassed me to even have brought him there. I canceled and will not go back to this location. Same as another review I received and reply from owner "Stephanie S" who appears to be the General Manager Paul. Lots of games played here by this management. read more

If you're older than a high schooler, avoid this place. As the other reviewer said, this gym is filled with tons of middle school and young high school kids who hog machines, slam weights, don't rack weights, constantly yell, run around, and make Tik Tok videos. The people who work the front desk are also their high school friends, so of course they don't enforce some decent behavior. I normally wouldn't mind what other people do, but these people are so loud and obnoxious that I can hear them over my noise cancelling headphones. Furthermore, they leave trash on the floor in the men's locker room and don't respect anyone out of their age bracket. I'm a college student and I can't believe I'm having to write this. read more

This club is amazing!! As a BUSY mom of 4 kids, this is the best gym. I was so upset when 24 hour fitness took away their kids club. Thankfully, Club 4 has a SOLID kids club. Specifically Maria and Beatrice are the MOST AMAZING kids club care team. They are so amazing with my two little ones. They are the reason my little ones will even be dropped off because they love both Maria and Beatrice. They are sweet, caring, and knowledgeable at their job! The shining stars of the gym are the amazing instructors!! That is the only reason for 2 stars on this review The staff is quite rude, especially the managers. The floors and bathrooms are extremely dirty. I was lied to when I signed up my son. I was told by the manager to sign up for the $25 membership to avoid the initiation fee. Then I could whenever I wished lower to the $10 a month membership. However when I went in to do this, a different manager told me that this was against policy which had changed and quoted me two different dates the policy had changed. And he said the only thing to do was to cancel my son's current membership and sign him back up and pay the initiation fee plus first month. Which was much higher than when I originally sign him up to begin with. Why was I lied to and deceived?!? I was told that I was very rude by the manager even though I kept calm and was just requesting what was told to me in the first place. read more

Pretty nice gym. I went in with some concerns based on some of the online reviews I read but it turned out to be a really cool gym altogether. Facility is clean every time I'm there and every area seems well taken care of. Signup was a little more complicated than I would have liked but it wasn't a difficult process per se. It would be nice if they were more upfront about the enrollment fee. The process to sign in to the gym when you arrive is very easy and smooth. Just scan the app bar code from your phone and you're good to go. I used to be a 24hr fitness member but I'll recommend this gym instead. The only thing the 24hr fitness has over this gym is the basketball gym but this place had newer machines, and looks a lot more modern and cleaner. The price point for membership is also more reasonable in the long run than the others. Not sure what the deal is with the blue, red and green line flags inside the gym but I'll assume there's some logical reason behind those flags. I would sure like to see the authentic American flag in there for sure. read more

Cancelling is a hot mess. Not customer focused or customer friendly. We moved to a different part of TX, we were satisfied with this gym. Clean enough, etiquette for dudes working out not the best but you're getting what you pay for. To cancel, the hard working individuals at the front desk will tell you that you have to self-unenroll. Of course you have to do that 30 days in advance. Both my husband and myself did is exactly as instructed. Horrible tech, lots of clicks and totally convoluted. I followed the process after my husband and it told me I was set, already cancelled. A month passed and I get a charge for one membership. I call and talk to another hard working assistant manager who says my account has no note and I have to go try to unenroll. Again . I morphed into a Karen and she was magically able to cancel my account but she couldn't issue me a refund. She actually hung up on me so I'm guessing her age to be under 25, Id advise club4fit to do some more training for their "management". I'm now filling with BBB and my bank to get my months fee back really just bc of the principal of it all. Again your getting what you pay for. But on the next month they forget to take the monthly payment from my credit card and they took extra payment ($15.00 ) by the means of late fee. Gym used to be overrun by disrespectful teenagers. They'd let their friends in, leave weights laying around, use profane language, and intimidate members. The new general manager has cleaned it up and threw out the idiots. The gym is now back to an inviting environment free of the bad element. Some of the negative comments are from the people thrown out. So they're irrelevant. Perhaps some of these kids' parents should pay more attention to what they are doing....particularly in the middle of the night. read more

I personally have belonged to a professional gym most of my life for fitness and training needs. I have been a member of Club4Fitness Murphy since it opened in June, 2021. The new management leadership is excellent, making sure that the facility and equipment is in usable condition and available for members to use. The gym is really nice, large and can accommodate many members due to the quantity of similar machines and free weight areas. New management has insured that members who use the gym are there for the common reason of working out to maintain fitness and that they have a common level of respect for not only the facility, the equipment, but each other. Horrible company policies...will bilk you for thousands of dollars. I signed up for their personal training and the trainer was great but I lost my job and I told them I needed out of the contract. They sent me to a website (not a person)that didn't offer any direction, so I was stuck paying 250+ a month. Despite not using the gym. Then in November I was in a car accident and injured my back. I had physical proof from the doctor that I couldn't work out and asked them to cancel the training and membership. Nothing...no contact from them. No help. Tried to workout here with my friend as a guest, they told me my name wasn't pulling up in the system...As if I was a member or they had my name on file... and would not let me workout if you like to bring visitors on occasion or visitors at all this is not the gym for you. My friend wanted to downgrade her membership after that, they told her It was a $25 fee to downgrade her membership by $10 dollars. I am also a Certified Personal Trainer, Camp Gladiator instructor, and former PE Teacher in Wylie ISD. I chose Club4 Murphy due to their large assortment of equipment, clean facilities, multiple work out areas, and extended hours.
