Great service, short wait on line, great drinks. I had the best time at rio and it's a great Latin club. Awesome crowd!

I had such a great time. Definitely reminded me of back home. The environment was great. The DJ was also great. Will return.

Marietta Sage Restaurant and Lounge - Incense in ATM

My fiancée's cousin chose Sage Lounge for her birthday celebration. Parking is absolutely atrocious…read more-- but I won't fault the business for that. We went on a Friday night, and while it wasn't packed at first, the crowd picked up as the night went on. I really appreciated the staff for letting us move from a booth to a larger table before it got busy since our party kept growing. There were a couple of hiccups with our food, but our server resolved them quickly and without any fuss. The hookah was good with plenty of flavor options, the drinks were solid, and the food was tasty -- nothing over the top, but definitely enjoyable until later when I learned about the health score. The vibe was chill, and the music kept the energy just right. If I had two suggestions, would be to have someone assigned to bathroom duty throughout the night -- because the restroom situation was rough and only got rougher as the night went on and to get that health score up!

Soo... it's a tinge of something unpleasant in the place. But!! That's not the worse thing. The owner walks in and greeted me with let's say a very strange look on her face. Shortly after she beaks it with incense in a flame unnecessarily large to burn incense. I thought ok cool she's trying to attack the smell. She stuck the incense in the ATM. Ok...then she stood in the entry way with her back turned to me staring at me through the glass with a face appropriate for a low budget scary movie. Decided not to order food after o ordered a hookah and a corona. Hookah was visibly dusty. Check please! My $25 hookah and beer was $40.30? How? Pass!!! Never again. Hit the chefs info so I can see him at the next spot he moves on to. Very creepy experience. Need to Sage myself after visiting Sage. Bye.

The best part of the meal was probably the seasonings they have sitting on the side of the counter where you order. I do not really know who works there. First there was a lady, then there was this kid, but the kid was sitting in the lounge when I first walked in and stood there for about 5 minutes at the bar before the lady in the back who was having a conversation with the lady who makes the food I guess came from behind and walked around to the register. Their menu has absolutely no pricing. I had the peanut butter soup, which was good, but a little disappointing because the majority of the meat was nothing but fat, and there was not that much meat in it honestly. The potato that was in it literally looked like that had just cut it in two and threw it in the soup. It was good, and not that bad portion wise, but if I had known it was almost $20 I probably would have gotten something else. I was hoping to try the hookah while I waited, but evidently all of the hookahs were in need of maintenance, so that was a bust. Would like to go back in the future, maybe when they have a crowd of people or something, but overall I was disappointed.

I'm leaving this because what I saw doesn't line up with that review at all. The group that was eventually asked to leave came in clearly intoxicated and immediately made another table uncomfortable. When they were told the table wasn't interested in being social, the intoxicated group sat down at a table directly across from them and continued making loud, inappropriate comments. The other table appeared visibly distressed and were clearly trying to keep to themselves. Staff initially tried to calm things down and keep everyone there. When the behavior continued and escalated, they made the right call and asked the disruptive group to leave. You could feel the room relax once they were gone. Unfortunately, situations like this happen sometimes when alcohol is involved. From where I was sitting, the staff handled a tense situation professionally and fairly. I've been going to Eleanor's for over a decade and have always found the staff to be kind, attentive, and respectful. This review doesn't reflect what I personally witnessed that night.

The food was excellent, the drinks were on point, and our waitress did an awesome job handling such a large party. She stayed on top of everything and made sure we were taken care of all night. After dinner, we decided to check out the speakeasy through the freezer door--Eleanor's--and unfortunately, that's where the experience took a turn. The atmosphere itself was nice--semi-dark with a cool concept--but it could definitely lean more into a darker, more immersive speakeasy vibe. The bigger issue, though, was the service. It was night and day compared to upstairs. The waitress came across as rude and unwelcoming from the start. A few of us sat down in a small corner area with an L-shaped bench and some extra chairs we had to pull over ourselves. Obviously, with 12 people, there was no way we were all fitting there, yet she insisted she wouldn't take any drink orders until everyone was seated. That made no sense, especially since there was standing room and even a bar-height table available. To make matters worse, there was zero acknowledgment of the birthday--not even a simple "happy birthday," which felt like a missed opportunity given the occasion. When we asked about Fireball shots, the response was a blunt "um, no," followed by "you can have water," as she started filling glasses. That pretty much summed up the vibe we got. Not sure if this is typical service down there or just an off night, but it was enough to make us decide we wouldn't come back to the speakeasy. Bottom line: If you're in the area, definitely check out Muss & Turner's for dinner--it's worth it. But I'd skip Eleanor's and save your time and money.

It had been closed for over a year, but it's open for business today! This lounge provides great birdseye views of the baseball field, The Battery, Truist Park and surrounding buildings. There are a couple of tables at the floor-to-ceiling windows in the lounge for people to sit at and watch the action on the field with unobstructed views. Another option of watching the game from the lounge is to sit outside on the balcony on the lounge chairs surrounded by waist-high clear glass. Caution - people who suffer from vertigo or have a fear of heights should not be out on the balcony. Visitors can also sit inside on short comfy stools or padded seating against the windows and watch closeup action of the game on the many large TV monitors hanging throughout the lounge while enjoying their beer! There is at least one full time bartender pouring beer at the bar, so you can enjoy them and not have to attempt to walk up or down steps at the same time. In pre-pandemic times, the bartenders used to pour mixed drinks. I didn't ask tonight if they serve anything other than beer.

Let's get into this review. This place is new. This place has potential. It was my first time here…read moreand I went on a Open Mic Night Thursday and it was not the most organized situation, but grew to be a vibe. Most of the artists were awesome and the owner/manager (I'm guessing owner), made it a point (in the middle of the performances)... to take the mic, interrupt the host and let everyone know that this was an open mic night, HOWEVER a lot of money was spent to coordinate open mic night so the artists that are coming up need to make sure that their talent is up to par because this isn't Karoake ... It killed the vibe for a moment and the shift was clearly felt throughout the lounge. It was a very "OH SHXT" speech lol. Like bro, it's open mic night, your going to have the great and the not so great... The audience is there for the show regardless. But anywhoooo... They have two bars, and a spread out layout for lounge seating. It is a very open space. There is a lot of parking and they do live music and dj driven entertainment R&B was the vibes. The hookah was hitting and the hookah girl stayed on it. The bartenders both took care of everyone at the bar. The dinner menu is limited and I ordered from the appetizer menu. We ordered the fried brussel sprouts, they were out of something so we got the braised brussel sprouts (which were oven rosted and had cranberries). I appreciate the creativity, but we passed and switched to the Fried cauliflower which was much better and is my suggestion for you to try. We also had the Philly egg rolls which wre more steak than cheese or anything else... Like throw some veggies in that bih GAH. lol but so many familiar artist faces were there it was easy to catch a vibe with music, hookah and drinks... Like I said... This place has potential and it was a Thursday so cheers.

The drinks arrived (most we unsatisfying and others were completely wrong orders) around 4:10pm and hookah shortly after. When these were served we put in our food order. At 5:20pm food still hasn't come out and the drinks were still incorrect. We decide to cancel everything and leave by 5:30pm because really?!? There are a lot More details but WE WILL NOT BE BACK. The only right thing that was done right here was the DJ, HOSTESS, smooth hookah, and the cancellation of the bill for drinks that we did receive. That showed accountability and that we weren't being unreasonable.
