Got to love heat stroke on a winter night, eh? Went to an event last night at Club Revolution. Downstairs was one event, and upstairs another. Two different events simultaneously going on. The upstairs event has fans, I was told, never made it upstairs, but the downstairs facility has no ventilation. I'm talking steaming hot windows from all the heat the people generated from the inside. I went through about 8 bottles of water trying to cool myself, although I was dancing to some really good music and dressed in fancy dress, but my costume was tiny and skin baring, I still managed to get heat stroke. I left around 2:00a.m. with my temperature boiling and headed back to the hotel. Luckily my background in medicine allowed me to pull through without going to the hospital but there were times I was really scared that I wasn't going to make it on my own and even more fear of going to a foreign medical facility. This should never have happened, and I am sure I am not the only person plagued with heat stroke that evening. I took many breaks and went outside, but even outside became stricken with heat from all the people trying to cool themselves off. There is one bar, not a very sound facility. Looks like a store that was renovated into a club that isn't really even a club now. They need to install windows and fans to cool off their patrons. Not a good experience. read more
