Misheard an instruction from a guard as he was inspecting me for drugs and what not and because of this he assumed I was drunk without a second thought and banned me for three months in front of my face. A proclaimed sports bar in the middle of Northampton. A great venue with a variety of rooms and music throughout. A lovely beer garden is great for warmer, summer nights. NB's - Dance Clubs Near Me - Northampton, NTH

Ok, let me start this review by saying I'm not a massive fan of this place at all. That said, I always seem to end up there on a night out in Northampton town centre for some unknown reason! NB's is split into 3 rooms, two main rooms and a cocktail bar, and also boasts a large outdoor area at the back with it's own bar. The music is generally chart/dance in one main room and RnB in the other. The décor is strange with ridiculously high ceilings and gothic stylings but quite good fun. My biggest complaint is both with the clientele and the disgusting state of the toilets I would expect them to be messy by the end of the night but not at 11pm! read more

Once upon a time, before this was NB's, this was a great little venue and unique. Now unfortunately, it's a bit plain and unremarkable. You will also get quite a young, well-oiled crowd here so sometimes there's a fight or two and it gets really busy, so expect to wait a while to get served, especially on a Friday or Saturday night. Music is the normal cheesy dance and pop and you may get a 'DJ' too. The range of drinks is OK and you will find a lot of alcopops. Let me start by saying I love this place. Only problem for me is the rude arrogant security guy on the door. He is eastern European clean shaven. For some reason he has it in for me and refuses to let me in when he sees me which is about 40% of the time. Several of my asian friends had the same problem so maybe he is rascist but definitely not suitable for the job he is in. A great nightclub; usually only go in the week because it is way too crowded @ the weekend (some saturdays u can queue for an hour to get in). Always clean and the service is fast and drink prices are normal. Love the cocktail bar cause they do the best cocktails in town; they also do a great 6 cocktails for a tenner deal. Worst experience, manager is a pompous, ignorant fool. A large group of us came over from Bedford for a change of pace/nightclub experience. We were recommended to go to NBs. We paid a lot of money for a taxi and we were hyped about it. As soon as we got to the club one of my friends was told he can't get in because he was wearing boots (regardless of the fact that they were a fashion boot with no steel toe caps). The bouncer was looking him up and down, he appeared to be uncomfortable with my friend (who is not of a white background and very physically fit but none the less the most gentle person I know.) I asked if I could speak to the manager about this, he was rude, offish and unsympathetic. Didn't take my complaint seriously and displayed a serious attitude problem - hand on one hip and shrugging. He argued that the club displayed a 'no boots policy' outside, which I think is hilarious as I told him twice that WE ARE NOT FROM NORTHAMPTON. No where on the website or facebook does it clarify a dress code which we checked before we left and I've reviewed again today. What made matters worse was guys in fancy dress with boots on (Halloween theme) got into the club. Prejudiced much? We were considering making regular trips to Northampton as I have a friend who lives there, shame the manager can lose business without even giving a damn. read more
