I took my first intro class at this studio in February 2024 and have loved it ever since! I have slowly increased from drop ins, 4/classes a month, 8/classes a month to now unlimited and coming in 5 times a week. Even though I have recently started to try out other instructor's classes this last month, I have primarily gone to Priscilla's classes this whole year and she is the reason why I fell in love with Pilates. The way she instructs all classes are so informative and you can tell she has years of experience under her belt. I have never been one to stick to a workout routine but now, I can't wait until I can come back for my next class! During the time I normally go in, Lauren is at the front desk and she is awesome too! Super nice and welcoming, greeting each person by name as they walk in and setting the tone for a great workout. Only note is that it is street parking so give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot. If you need a sign to take an intro class, this is your sign!

When I arrived I was told to set up for class with the same equipment the instructor set out and found a cozy spot near the door. The class wasn't full (which is apparently rare) so I had plenty of room to embarrass myself. Now I'm not an out of shape person, I do cardio 3 times a week at the gym and eat very well. But Miranda's barre class kicked my entire ass (in a good way!) Afterwards I did feel sore as expected of a rigorous hour long workout, but I still felt amazing. I slept like an actual baby and woke up still feeling great. Everyone at the studio itself was very friendly and Miranda was great. The flow of the class focuses on exhausting specific parts and muscles of the body one by one so you definitely get your moneys worth for a full body work out- not that $25 for the first week is unreasonable at all! I'll definitely be back, but note to self: Be sure to stretch a bit more next time!

The owner, Bethany, used to be an instructor at my current box; and I owe a great deal to her. Because of her knowledge and positive (yet constructive) feedback while I plowed through my first uncoordinated months of CF, I can say that I am fitter than I've been in years. Hell, I'm fitter than I was when I DID think I was fit. First, you should know that I had become a blob before I joined CF. Really. I got winded going up and down stairs and lugged around 50+ more pounds 1 1/2 years ago, so DO NOT WORRY about your fitness level. It's all scalable, and there are beginner classes to get you started if you're new. Boot camp on crack, is how I would describe CrossFit. You do team workouts, individual workouts but in a team environment, you go for personal records (PR's) from anything to running, to weights, to completing a particular workout in x amount of time. I don't think I've done the same exact workout in a year and half yet! Check out LOFT's website for their hours, fees and WODs (Workout of the Day) as I've only been here once. But, it is helpful for you to know that the entrance is in the alley BEHIND the building. (That poor consignment store lady; she was so friendly in directing people back around the building. I must remember to go and check out her store.) LOFT has lots of street parking around, and they have a small lot in the alley. This place has all the CF amenities you would expect, including a pretty high-up rope! Super-secret tip for any CrossFitter: always wear/bring long socks with you, in case of rope climbs and dead-lifts. No rope burns/scraped-up shins, k?) Aaaaand the people here are super-cool; the community, while growing, is small enough that you get to know people from different boxes all the time. It's how we grow the cult... ...Kidding. Despite what you've heard, you only have to sacrifice ONE baby goat to become part of a box. As I've said before, WOD ON!

Hannah at the front desk knew about my many struggles financially and how I have been treated in Seattle as a Native American Activisf. She knew that I was struggling and that I am struggling financially and then I am poor and unemployed which I indicated numerous times and that I would only be able to do the co-pay. The physical therapist did not respond to me about urgent matters with my knee and feedback that I needed and really didn't answer any of my questions. Today I found out that they wanted me to pay all of my deductible and coinsurance directly to them which is very very strange and odd and disgusting business practice during a pandemic. She knew I had severe pain and that I was on my last leg since surgery is not an option for me and then I have this torn meniscus and really needed urgent help but she was yelling at me about the money and cared way more about the money than she cared about me and that is abjectly disgusting. I sleep well at night knowing that I care more about people than money and that if I were in her position I would always put the patients first. I cannot believe that they were demanding all this money upfront and they refused to work out some thing with me on my coinsurance and deductible. She kept saying I would get a bill. Well I don't care because I can't afford my bills. It was very elitist and disgusting during a pandemic that they were treating me this way. On top of that they refuse to work out any kind of payment arrangement with me knowing that I don't have any money. I refuse to pay what they demanded which was hundreds of dollars which is totally disgusting and unreasonable since I told her I could only pay the $50 co-pay. Meanwhile, when I was upset about what happened, Stephanie, the physical therapist came out and said she didn't like me being upset. Well too bad, when you discriminate against someone and refused to help and treat them then they are going to get upset. When I left and slam the door, I am very proud of that fact.

I've only had one session, but Kendal's approach did reflect what an NMR therapist ought to do given the research I did about NMR muscle testing. I've scheduled another session too. Overall, not a massage session, but I think NMR approach is the way to go to resolve a problem area that has always been a problem, but only recently (the last couple of years) has prompted me to find longer-lasting relief and increased mobility (i.e., ROM). Kendal is a great too!!! Explains what she is going to do and why and what I should feel in that particular area. Tips: Street parking only.
