My wife is the primary policyholder and submitted the required form with my date of birth, phone number, and all the ID numbers. However, Gold's Gym staff kept insisting my name had to appear on the submitted form--even though the form is generated by an automated email system that only shows the primary policyholder's name no matter what you do. I also had my insurance card (showing both our names) and my ID available, but that still wasn't enough. To add to the frustration, when I tried to talk to someone higher up--like the owner or a manager--to get some common-sense resolution, I got absolutely no help. It was like talking to a brick wall. And to top it all off, they don't even offer a veteran's discount, which I find unbelievable in this day and age. I'm only going to this gym because of the insurance rate, but the sheer lack of common sense and customer service has left me really disappointed. I hope they can improve how they handle straightforward situations like this, because it really shouldn't be this hard. They get two stars just because the equipment is kept up.

There's a few chairs around the room and Sam (the head trainer and owner) has a podium at the front to do any admin things like paperwork. The workout: There were about 5 other women there for the session that day and we started just a couple minutes after 9 am with a core warmup. this session was called "open gym" so the two trainers created different stations throughout the room including weighted squats, a bench press, ropes, etc. Kinda like boot camp drills. There were about 10 different total small workouts and every attendee was supposed to complete 15 reps of each activity 3 times. It. Was. A. Workout. Trainers/environment: super fun environment. Music is loud and hype which makes these kinds of workouts more fun! Trainer Sam and her other trainer seemed to know everyone super personally which is awesome. They walked around and continued to fix your form and push a workout until you hit your best. The other ladies were also super friendly. By the end, I was a sweaty mess but felt good. The morning after is here, and it feels like someone's put a ton of bricks on parts of my body but rest assured, the soreness means it worked! $$: I came to this through classpass so I thought it was worth it but not sure if I'd pay full price for a subscription! Queue Fit Body Boot Camp Sugar Hill. I am fairly new to the Sugar Hill area but apparently so is this place. After seeing an advertisement on Facebook about this gym and a testimonial video I decided I would give it a shot. Plus they were running promotional rate that was too good to pass up. This location is situated in a small strip plaza off of Buford Hwy, if you blink you may miss it. The parking lot is pretty small but fairly easy to find a parking spot. When you enter, you are greeted with bright blue walls and gym mats and mellow music. I arrive about 10-20 minutes before class to stretch. Do not let the mellow music fool you because as soon as class starts, the sounds immediately start pumping through the speakers and you're off to 30 minutes of hell followed by immediate euphoria. The trainers are great, encouraging, and teach good technique for exercises. If you're looking for a change of pace workout that does not take a lot of time out of your day, this is the place. I can leave my house by 5:10 and be home by 6:15. I am 3 weeks in to this place and I am officially hooked.

I am now in the best shape of my life thanks to SHFBBC and spend just 30 minutes a day working out to achieve it. I love how wonderful the owners and trainers are. They help with modifications if needed. They truly care about their members. It is a warm, friendly and supportive environment. I look forward to working out every day.
