It's so rare to see a business like this continue to grow, and yet continue to improve their relationships with the community the way they do here. The owner, Sheila, is constantly offering new workshops and retreats, bringing in guest instructors from all over the world, and creating exciting additions to our practice. From Basic Yoga classes to Hot Power Flow, Restorative to Yin, Tai Chi, and Meditation, this studio has it all. I love the ability to sign up for a class ahead of time and purchase class packages in the Mind Body app or website. The studio is always nice and clean, and they offer water and hot tea in the waiting area. They also have a nice retail selection with yoga mats, jewelry, candles, and some awesome apparel from brands I love like Alo and Spiritual Gangster. The vibes here are always welcoming and full of love, whether you've been coming for years or are brand new. Tons of options for those just venturing into a yoga practice AND very advanced yogis. The location can be a bit confusing to find if you are unfamiliar with the area, as its located in the back of the Tannery Row building (but the GPS brings you to the front). Thankfully, when texting with the studio regarding my appointment, they informed me that they are located in the back and this made things easier. I signed up for the introductory Private Pilates Package which allows me 5 Private Pilates sessions for $200. I have never taken a Pilates class in my life, so I was a bit nervous and intimidated. My instructor, Josee, was very warm, welcoming and explained everything we were doing in detail. The studio itself is really nice as well. It is spacious, open and has several different rooms for the various classes. They offer Yoga (aerial, prenatal, etc), Kettlebell, Pilates and more. I hate hot summer weather 90s+, but I absolutely love these infrared saunas. I'll take it over the hot outdoors any day. Also, you can workout 24/7. So even if you have a weird schedule they're always "open" for members. Worried you get bored easily? This is for you! There are a multitude of sessions to choose from and the virtual instructor videos for each change out pretty often on a set rotation. The saunas (yes, saunas!) are set up with ISO workouts on one side and HIIT workouts on the other. There are 8 saunas. Your ISO workouts consist of Hot ISO, Hot Buns (glutes and legs focus), Hot Bands (arms and upper body focus), Hot Barre None (Barre without the bar), Hot Core, Hot Pilates, Hot Warrior, and Hot Stretch. All of them will give you a full body workout and trust me you'll earn the burn. For HIIT you have Cycle, Blast, and Thunder (rowing). All of them are great. Quick 15min time blocks so you can easily squeeze in two workouts in 30min. I personally like to do a few HIIT sessions or a HIIT and an ISO, but they're all great on their own. There is also the FX zone with weights and machines for you to add additional strength training if you desire. I've lost over 120 pounds over the last three years and though I do have some loose skin I'd credit the consistent workouts and infrared sauna with helping to lessen that. They have a nice variety of classes and instructors, cap each class at 10 people total, and is non-heated (which I personally prefer). The first time it's hard to find, as it's nestled back behind the complex of businesses, but parking is easy and it's super accessible. It's no-frills, no gimmicks, just real yoga, in a cheery, bright, and cozy location with kind staff.

First, Sunny Street limits class sizes to 10. I LOVE that classes never feel crowded, and I never have to rush to get there too early for a spot. Additionally, I never have to worry about the potential awkwardness of touching strangers accidentally in class. (Okay, there are certainly worse things, but this is so awkward, right?!) Next, this is truly a studio that offers many styles of practice. If you are looking for strength and stamina, you can find it. If you are looking for restoration and meditation, you can find it. If you are looking for a flow that combines the two, yep - you can find it. Like an earlier reviewer, I am LOVING the Ashtanga classes. Additionally, all levels of practice are welcomed. Props are readily available, and modifications and enhancements are offered for many asanas. In my experience, classes typically have participants that reflect a range of experience levels. All are welcomed and encouraged. I have never seen anyone pushed beyond their comfort level. All instructors I've practiced with (I have been to classes offered by five different instructors) have been incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and encouraging. I regularly sign up for classes with all of them as my schedule allows. Sunny Street has a handy app for class registration. All classes require registration in advance, and the app makes it so easy to check out the schedule and register for classes. It is super user-friendly. You can also monitor the number of participants who have registered for upcoming classes. Sunny Street also offers other wellness classes and special events, such as book clubs, circles, and general wellness events. They also sponsor events in the community, such as Friday morning yoga at the Forum. There appear to be a number of opportunities to connect with other people who practice at the studio if you are interested in doing so. Finally, it is easy to get in and out of - open parking lot and close to a number of neighborhoods. Classes are affordable and membership is a great value! I highly recommend a visit. Scaring people into removing their reviews is a terrible practice. I bet that for every negative review you see there are 10 who were too scared to post. --- Despite being blocked & them thinking the review was deleted (it's not) they continue to find ways to demonstrate how horrible they are. No wonder my friend who is a trauma survivor was scared and petrified to speak up about their awful business practices. I would go into more specific detail, but then they will know who they are & will harass them as they harass others who speak up about how they treat people. Disgusting.
