I was immediately made to feel welcome by everyone in the classes. Every trainer that I have had here has been absolutely excellent. They are patient and very helpful during the class. I am part of the older crowd, and just getting back into it. I have to scale my exercises based on my fitness level. At Mad Mare, you are challenged to work at your own personal level rather than a one-size-fits-all class. Sometimes it's tough to go in, but I always leave with a great sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. The community is great, with a mix of younger people as well as an older crowd, and they all blend together effortlessly. If you are looking to get back into the gym, or just need a change of pace with your workouts, I highly recommend you give Mad Mare Xfit a call.

The owner, Dan Owens, instructs these classes often and will absolutely crush your upper and lower body in the best possible way. He is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to making sure every person in the room knows what to do and helps with form if necessary and welcomed. Another great perk is access to the locker rooms and saunas. I feel the entire facility is kept clean and organized. I love the big windows everywhere which allow for a ton of natural light to come inside. I also enjoy using the indoor/outdoor green space on the bottom floor which has a garage door that can open and close depending on the weather. Very nice during Spring, Summer and early Fall. I never feel like I have to wait for equipment to free up, and they do offer complimentary towels at the front desk upon check-in. This athletic club is on ClassPass and I typically just purchase gym time using a couple credits or I sign up for the circuit or conditioning classes.

The best thing was how the other people in the classes are so non-judgmental and helpful with a noob. It's definitely a culture that the Camp family has instilled in their gym family. Members in any class you choose to attend are awesome! I was instantly approached and greeted on my first day joining by other attendees. Let's go further into detail: 1. The equipment is top notch compared to other gyms alike. 2. It's a class setting with various times for any working person(s). 3. 24 hour access is coming soon and I'm so excited about it!!! 4. The gym is clean. 5. You will have access to 2 apps when signing up. One will show you the workouts the day before, you can also track your progress, and insert your results for the workout of the day. The second app is where you will reserve your classes and keep track of your attendance. 6. You will sign a contract as with the majority of gyms. However, you won't have to go through countless phone calls, hours on the phone talking to support, sending certified letters, if for any reason you want to cancel I believe there is a 6 month and 12 month contract, don't quote me, I'm human. 7. Before every workout, you will be shown how to do the exercises with correct form. You won't be lost! 8. It's a family environment. It's nice to see some members bringing their spouse, son or daughter to workout with them. 9. They also have an online program of fitness workouts, which is great if you travel a lot and/or prefer to workout from home a bit longer. 10. The workouts are great for any age group. A round of applause for the 60+ making me look like a rookie lol. All jokes aside, every workout can be modified or more challenging. That is up to you. I still need to stop being scared of doing Box Jumps. P.S. Before joining I was able to do a full workout to get the full experience. They have lockers where you can put your things in and if you don't have gloves or wraps they can provide them for you. First time is free, but I think they said it was 3$ for the gloves (for each use) and you have to the buy wraps. They don't have showers. The class consisted of going back and forth between HIIT strength training (using weights and sometimes your own body weight) and then going to the boxing bag. The coach instructs what kind of punch sequences are next under cool lights and awesome music. They also have a screen that shows what kind of punch you should be throwing at the moment (you have to follow certain sequences). That was really helpful in case you forget the order. The combination of boxing techniques and high-intensity cardio keeps things fresh and engaging. All the trainers (Trina, Katie, Candice, Eric, John, and Michael) are incredible and so knowledgeable. Special shoutout to Coach Eric on the private sessions. He has been so patient and motivating during each of these sessions. I have definitely noticed an improvement in form/ technique with the private sessions. The support staff are also friendly, welcoming, and attentive.
