I came across Your Shakti, and with Bhumika's help, I was able to control my condition significantly. She created an oil blend and a salve for me to apply topically, which over time smoothed out the "scarring" and lesions on my scalp. I even began to regain pigmentation. After a successful consultations regarding my skin conditions, I began taking Yoga classes taught by Bhumika. Her knowledge of yoga along with her calm composure has really helped me relax, not only physically, but mentally as well. I felt I was too young for knee surgery so I tried the oils from your Shakti. Within 2 weeks, I felt like they were getting better and in 2 months, I was able to run again without pain. It was pretty incredible. Since then, I've been doing aroma therapy to focus at work or relax at home and replaced synthetic vitamins with all natural herbs to supplement my diet. This place has definitely improved my quality of life since I started about a year ago. Give it a shot. Well worth it.

Torture ESPECIALLY in a Tuesday night spin class because Athena is EFFICIENT! Only for her work to be rewarded with pure laziness and undesirable conditions, every time we come in, another bike is out of commission. The speakers in the cycle room don't work! Working out in SILENCE is one of THE MOST uncomfortable things to do! Especially at a monthly rate!!!!!!!! Going to the gym is already annoying but under these conditions, it's harder and harder to lose the weight because its like I'm fighting myself from going to the gym. Not because of fitness but because of TORTURE! Temperature torture, uncleanliness torture, equipment torture, slipping & tripping TORTURE. There's never any wet wipes! In a post Covid society, that's unacceptable , it should be a crime. Especially in a place people are always IN. Then come to find out, they're trying to get rid of the paper towels too! Which we're already moistening by pumping the hand sanitizer onto.... Can you say "GHETTO ?!" Ghetto in PISCATAWAY?! C'mon, HOW?! Absolutely unacceptable. There were holes in the gym ceiling for months to the point night volleyball games were beyond hazardous . Liabilities to say the least! A slip in there at volleyball playing speed can take you out of work for MONTHS. The sauna works on & off in spurts... really just depends on the day. They need more people teaching more classes all day! Thursdays, Fridays and Saturday's don't have enough to choose from. I joined this gym for cycle classes, aquafit & volleyball Not only do they not offer enough of them , aquafit is once a week very early, & I already mentioned why volleyball and cycle were a bust! (For the record also, Juliet is a fantastic instructor as well) Going to the other location is NOT conducive for me because I live down the street! Why should I be inconvenienced by somewhere I PAY TO BE?! Please! Help us! We've had enough at this point, it's truly a negligent situation we're facing & again, for a monthly Fee, doing something most truly don't want to participate in anyway.... The GYM!

Day 2 I go in to use the guest pass again and I scanned in my guest pass just as I did yesterday, and signed the form they wanted me to, I was taken behind the counter to the membership desk with employee, Zayd, and was told since I already used the guest pass yesterday under my sisters I couldn't today, she doesn't have a direct LA Fitness pass and doesn't even have guest abilities. I let the guy know I came yesterday and had never come prior to this gym. I was told I couldn't use it today or again for that matter. I asked to speak to the GM, his name is Amari, and he flat out said that I either needed to pay the $20 for the day pass or leave. I asked to see the guest pass policy that states that I couldn't use it for all three days and even showed my email from LA showing that. I then left the gym feeling frustrated, I called the corporate number that LA lists and after explaining our situation he got in contact with Amari from the location, who then decided to issue the 3-day guest pass to me so problem solved. In all, it should've been explained to me why that happened and why I couldn't use it, I was very much considering using this gym as it is much closer to my home and offers different benefits from the one I currently go to. But now, since being treated unfairly I do not feel as though it is worth it to go here to have employees who simply do not care or give any decency to people wanting to come here.

Yogis in the Central NJ area- Avoid this place at all costs!! The owner of this place is running a…read morescam! Where to start? Well, after my previous studio closed down, I tried this place out (May 2012). I saw they had an unlimited package for beginners, as well as first time drop in rates ($5 off first class). I asked to sign up for the unlimited packed, and handed her my credit card. Refused to run my card, said sometimes the machine was charging people 3x the amount they paid... I appreciated her honesty. Said the next time I came in I could pay her. The class began, and we had NO warm up stretch, and started having us do "work outs" like one would see at the gym. We spent a good portion of the class up against the wall, passing a medicine ball back and fourth to each other. While this wasn't exactly yoga (or Pilates for that matter) I was still being active and kept participating. I was starting to get slightly annoyed with the instructor after every couple of minutes she would stop the class for "water breaks" after not even having broke a sweat. She also had a jar of Charms hard candies out for people to munch on to keep their "blood sugar up". I found this to be rather strange, and slightly insulting. I have taken many yoga, Pilates, and aerobic classes and never once was the class stopped for a candy break. Perhaps when I go hiking for hours at a time I will bring a snack- or even a long bike ride- but a 60 min yoga class?? Anyway, I also had a difficult time concentrating on listening to my body, because the whole time there was a class discussion about what everyone did on their weekend. I felt like i was sitting around with a bunch of women chatting about our lives at happy hour or something- the instructor (also the owner) not only allowed the class to be run this way, but participated. There was no motivating the people, nor keeping awareness of our breath- it was absolutely a mess! About 20 mins into the class I realized this woman had no business teaching a class and calling it "yoga" or "Pilates" (since the website claims she does both)... and honestly EVEN an aerobic class. I try to remain a holistic person, and not judge- but I also can't help but note how completely out of shape she was (borderline obese) ...the candy, the constant chatting and lack of motivation- really makes me think she is NOT qualified to be teaching anyone about their mind, body or soul. It also makes me upset to think of the woman who were there, who are being completely misguided and scammed. I have traveled all over the country, and always check out new yoga studios during my travels, and have never experienced anything like this. I ended up going home and having to spend a long time stretching as to not injure my body- because of her lack of care to do poses (or anything for that matter) properly. To add more evidence of the owners shady ways- she contacted me yesterday via email stating I owe her $15 for the class I took 6 months ago. She threatened that if I don't pay her in one week- she will send my "account into collections". I was pretty shocked by her accusation of me being a "thief" and the nasty tone of her email. Perhaps her studio is not doing so well, and is hard up for the cash. I mentioned how unsatisfactory her class was, and that if I had paid (which I tried to do) that I would have asked for my money back. I also stated that by law, I am entitled to a written request for payment and a turnaround time of 30 days. I asked that she do not contact me via email for any more legal matters (which she did anyway... saying how "impressed" she was of my knowledge of law, and told me to look up "theft law"............) FYI- had I used my first time drop in coupon, the charge would be only $10. This woman is now threatening to try and ruin my credit for $10. I plan to get the word out about the practice she is running, and hope that those looking to make real health changes to their lives look elsewhere. There are some great studios in the area (which actually cost less) and really take the time to assist with your growth. Check out Sakula Yoga in Metuchen as well as Soma Center Yoga in Highland Park. The people who run and teach classes there are professionals, and treat their customers with respect.

The Club and members were very welcoming to new students. The equipment is brand new and everything was very clean. During the class, each step was calmly explained step-by-step with careful consideration for each persons abilities. Adina asked if anyone had back, neck, or other pain and gave alternate moves for those with any trouble. If you were performing the move incorrectly, Adina would physically adjust your pose and movement. One time I said sorry for doing something incorrectly and she said, "Don't apologize! If you apologize I will make you apologize for apologizing!" And everyone laughed. There was a camaraderie in the class. It was not a competition. There are lots of different classes to try. Your first intro class if free. I believe a typical one time drop-in class is $35. They also have a "hotel" pass for out-of-town visitors, $70 for 3 classes.
