Dishonest and Obnoxious Management
Background:I signed up for this service, paying $170 for an "initiation fee" and $150 per month for four classes. However, in the first two months, I was only able to schedule two classes because 90% of the options were on a waiting list.
Dishonest Practice #1:When I brought this up with the front desk, I was told they could charge me two weeks earlier to allow earlier booking. This suggestion was dishonest and unhelpful--it would only worsen availability for others while doing nothing to address the core issue. It's absurd to expect customers to plan their lives around a waiting list.
Manager's Disrespectful Attitude:On my second visit, I had the "luck" of meeting the manager, Hanna.
From the start, her attitude was shockingly unprofessional and dismissive.
When I explained my frustration, she cut me off, saying, "Of course, it's normal to be on the waiting list. You're not going to book anything without being on one."
There was no empathy, no attempt to understand my perspective--just condescension.
Even worse, when I pointed out how this affected my experience, she accused me of "harassing her employee." This accusation was completely uncalled for, as I was did not raise my voice, and simply voiced my concerns.
Hanna's behavior was not just dismissive but borderline insulting, as if addressing a paying customer's concerns was beneath her.
Dishonest Practice #2:Later, I discovered they have a "safe space" policy for booking classes when a customer confronts them in person. Using this, Hanna booked four classes for me but claimed only one required the "safe space" while the rest were supposedly open.
Thankfully, I had taken screenshots of my schedule showing everything fully booked. When I confronted her with this evidence, she mumbled incoherently, exposing the dishonesty yet again.
Result: I canceled my membership, but the experience left me deeply dissatisfied:
* The lack of transparency about the waiting list system is deceptive and unfair.
* The "safe space" workaround is hidden from customers, creating a system that rewards confrontation over fairness.
* Most importantly, Hanna's attitude and behavior toward a paying customer were appalling--dismissive, accusatory, and devoid of any professionalism.
Businesses rely on trust and respect to maintain good relationships with their customers. The manager's dismissive and disrespectful conduct, combined with the dishonest policies, makes this establishment one of the worst I've ever encountered. read more
