Trash is overflowing, litter is around the toilet stalls, rolls of paper towels sit in water on the sink counters... the sanitary wipes for machines are empty and there is literally litter throughout the gym, on the floor. You have already closed the other local locations of your gyms... are you just riding out this lease as well? It is truly a shame you never figured out how to make this location work.

Luckily, I was able to find Florida Fitness Coaches, which offers both group classes and individualized training sessions. The group training sessions are a great introduction to working out and getting a routine--and the classes are relatively small, so you're still getting that 1:1 attention. The individualized personal training sessions are amazing, and you can really feel the benefits quickly! I feel much stronger from the program, and have worked with the trainers (Mara & Chris) to get a better nutritional diet. Definitely check them out if you need any personal training, you won't regret it!

And Smash Fitness met all my iron needs. clean facility, top-tier equipment, and a layout that makes every workout efficient and enjoyable. Whether you're lifting heavy, hitting cardio, or doing functional training, they've got everything you need. At one point, I had an encounter with another couple at the gym where I was threatened. I immediately brought the situation to the attention of the front desk staff, but nothing was done about it. After that, this couple continued approaching me in the parking lot almost every time I would come to the gym. I shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable or scared simply walking into a place where I'm paying to work out. My gym time is supposed to be my time to focus, relax, and take care of myself--not a place where I have to worry about being approached or threatened by other members. I expected the staff to take my concerns seriously and help make the environment feel safe, but unfortunately, that did not happen. I also ended up leaving a Google review about my experience, and afterward, the owner had the manager approach me about it to remove it. Unfortunately, I felt that I was given inaccurate information about much of the situation with a male figure that was taking photos from his phone! Over the years, the gym has also become extremely overcrowded--almost unbearable at times--and it became increasingly difficult to get a workout in without having to wait for equipment. More recently, I had an issue with the new payment system. I had cancelled one of my credit cards that was being used for my gym membership and forgot to update the payment information, which was my mistake. I contacted ABC Fitness, updated my payment information, and paid the amount that was owed. The payment went through on my end. Then I received another call saying that I still owed money. I was confused because I had just paid, so I paid it again and updated my banking information. I also cancelled my membership, and I was told that everything had been taken care of. Then ABC Fitness contacted me again. At that point, I was understandably frustrated, so I called the gym directly. I was told that I needed to come in and pay again--even though I had already paid twice and had cancelled my membership. And to this day, ABC Fitness STILL continues to call me regarding the payment. I never had these kinds of issues until they switched to the new payment system. After nearly 4.5 years of being a member, it's extremely disappointing that this is how my experience ended. I haven't been back since.

So I've made the 8, yes, 8 hour drive to visit his office on 2-3 occasions during those 8 years. This last time I needed him to check metal sensitivities in my body via his use of applied kinesiology, before making a choice to have a dental implant. That's how much I trust his judgment and skills. He was generous enough to squeeze me in when he could and I do not mind waiting, I don't care how long, because that just shows he takes the time necessary with each patient, so you might have to wait. But usually I never do. He's worth the wait no matter what.

Consider yourself healed for life! And then there's the chiropracty! I've been to several chiropractors and the adjustments tend to make me need more adjustments. Not so with Dr. Finucan. I go every 3-6 months and my back feels amazing. His manipulation always puts my back in alignment and it actually stays there. May be because he doesn't just work on the spine but the muscles around it as well. Regardless, I don't let anyone else touch my back.

What I love the most are the classes. They have body sculpt, Pilates, yoga, cross training and weight training. I love my new friends at the gym. We all met there. We motivate each other and make each other accountable. I always say that my gym friends will never let me quit. It's also the closest gym to the Golden Gate Estates area where we live. The staff is very friendly. Great job guys for keeping it so nice and pleasant to workout there.
