Corepower yoga 2 is a great class for flow and Parna's expertise on chakras and meditative yoga fits great with this type of class. CoreRestore, although not offered often, is more of a light, cool down stretch with a bit of sound bath effects and is not meant for intense stretching. Julie did a great job of emphasizing the relaxation components in tiny movements. not heated, and best after a long day, not meant to be a workout. Yoga sculpt 45 min is probably the most intense class with upbeat, fast-paced yoga flow combined with weights to intensify the workout and medium heat. Highly recommend for both strength and stretch and cardio all in one. Allison can project really well and get you hyped, and also offers really great form reminders/corrections. Hot power fusion with Ariana is amazing- the temp is set a couple degrees above 100 so it's definitely one you need to hydrate for, but it's not as intense as yoga sculpt and has more focus on balance and holding yoga poses for longer and testing your core. Ariana gives very clear, detailed instructions so it was easy to follow along, and best playlist!

I keep going back because it's the only hot yoga studio close to me and they have some knowledgeable instructors. The only downside is that the classes get way too full and packed and I end up feeling like a sardine in a sauna. My recommendation is to ALWAYS show up at least 15-20 minutes before your class starts so you can find a spot in the studio that you want to practice in, otherwise you'll be stuck in an awkward position between rows or right next to the trash weight rack. Highly recommend Sue's classes as she's super knowledgeable, educational, and overall just great vibes during her classes (and she also wears a headset so you can actually hear her over the music because not all instructors wear them and sometimes it's so hard to hear anything).

The other instructors bring so much knowledge to each class-- progress comes quickly and is easy to see! This studio is perfect for experienced yogis and newbies alike-- the calm environment and 100% acceptance and excitement to see you at class makes everyone feel comfortable! The style of yoga practiced is Baptiste Power Yoga. The room is set at 85-90 degrees and the instructor guides you through a series of vinyasa poses-- FLOW! The Baptiste philosophy centers around balancing your mind/body/spirit and creating the flow, so no harsh directives or yelling...only focusing on your breath and your movement! And no mirrors! I decided to add yoga to my workout routine in an effort to build some upper body strength and flexibility. I've done yoga for years, but it was always geared more toward relaxation, not getting a good workout. You will not get to relax at Divine Power Yoga (at least in the classes I've taken). Well, you will at the end of the routine, but that's only after you have worked your butt off for at least 55 minutes. The instructors keep you rapidly flowing from pose to pose. They're aware that the attendees have many different levels of experience and take time to mention modifications for each of the poses. You start to sweat very quickly (it doesn't hurt that the room is kept very warm) and it's amazing to see your personal progress from the beginning of the routine to the end. These routines stretch muscles I never even knew that I had. The instructors are incredibly encouraging and will take the time to help you with poses that are challenging you. They also infuse humor into each class, which I love. This place is a gem and I'm delighted that I discovered it!

I met Michelle and found Edge Yoga School in 2017, during a pretty intense chapter of my life. I…read morehad recently lost my mom, was newly navigating yoga, and was in the middle of a messy career transition. Walking into the RYT 200 program felt less like joining a school and more like finding solid ground again. What stood out immediately was the depth of the training. Michelle's syllabus is thorough and well thought out, both on the teaching side and the practicum side. You leave knowing how to teach, not only how to practice. There is real structure, clear expectations, and a strong emphasis on doing the work, showing up prepared, and understanding what it means to hold space responsibly. At the same time, the program goes far beyond checking boxes for certification. Michelle genuinely wants her students to grow. She helps you understand how to build your own 200-hour program and beyond, if that's the path you want to take. That level of transparency and mentorship is rare. She doesn't gatekeep knowledge. She shares it. One thing I deeply appreciated about Michelle's approach is how strongly she promotes individuality and emotional intelligence. The goal is not to rush through modules or memorize material. She encourages you to think for yourself, ask better questions, and stay true to who you are as both a student and a teacher. You are learning yoga, and you are also learning how to lead, communicate, and hold responsibility with integrity. Michelle does not hand-hold, and that is intentional. She expects students to take ownership of their learning and their growth. For some people, that level of accountability can feel uncomfortable at first. For me, it was empowering. She treats you like a capable adult with real potential, not someone who needs to be managed step by step. That balance, strong guidance paired with personal responsibility, is a big reason this training had such a lasting impact on me. It helped me grow confidence, discernment, and trust in my own voice, skills that have stayed with me long after the certification was complete. Michelle is a self-made businesswoman and a true one-woman show. She is generous with her time, her experience, and her energy, and she consistently over-delivers. What you see is what you get. Passionate, smart, direct, and deeply committed to the work and to her students. I went on to complete my 500-hour training and earned a Lead Teacher certification for Yoga Teacher Training through Edge. Almost ten years later, I'm still in touch with Michelle, and she is exactly who she was then, full of ideas, spirit, and genuine love for yoga and teaching. Edge Yoga School was life-changing for me, both personally and professionally. If you're looking for a yoga teacher training that is grounded, rigorous, supportive, and designed to help you take your experience as far as you want to go, this is it.

I can't warn you enough NOT to trust this woman and give her your money. I wish I had never…read morebelieved the lies she told me to get me to sign up. Michelle sold me a "flexible" 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program on Nov 3. She told me the program can be completed without ANY in person "lab" time when I move out of state in a month. I said I was only able to do labs until I moved at the end of December. She said that would work great and "what is yoga if not flexible?" Now she refuses to return any calls to discuss how I can complete the program without attending class in person. She ONLY wants to communicate via her Slack app, something she didn't inform me of when I bought the program. I completed 2 hours of YTT a day in the first 10 days / 20 hours total. We only practiced teaching a yoga sequence once for 45 minutes during one of the 6 labs I attended. Michelle didn't observe us practicing - she left the room to take a break and when she came back she said "did you really practice teaching each other a sequence? I thought for sure you'd just chit chat and goof off." The other student and I were taken aback by her negativity and accusatory tone. Not yoga-like at all. At every LAB she lectured us like children, not adult students - about being on time, not to go off topic in class, do not ask questions about the program or schedule, or technical issues with Slack or EventBrite apps; we can't sit on her bean bags because she charges extra to have those comfortable seats - and that is a "business of yoga tip" she gave us; charge students more money for a more comfortable seat! Meanwhile SHE doesn't start or end classes on time, she goes off topic regularly - for example, she lectured for an hour about Tony Robbins and AI - and students have to sit on the uncomfortable floor filling out a workbook for LAB. After that LAB, I told Michelle that I didn't see any in person YTT Lab classes on the schedule until January. She snapped back, "don't ask me. I can't remember with all I have going on" and told me to look at the schedule again and to message her on Slack. I did so; she didn't respond. Instead she sent a Slack message that I seem to be having problems following her program. She sent me a very structured schedule and list of weekly tasks that doesn't align with my life or the time she told me I had to complete the program. She originally told me I had 18 months to complete 200 hours and it was self-paced. She then sent me a strict (not flexible) program telling me complete about 20 hours a week. When I asked her why there were no in person classes on the schedule until January she said she was on vacation for the holidays - but then posted a list of "special holiday offerings" for random dates (not the schedule she had originally told me) with codes so we could sign up on EventBrite. She told us to sign up "now" for all the classes because they're "filling up fast", but previously told us not to sign up too far in advance and choose as we go. Then she told us we have to sign up 24 hours in advance - but she didn't give us the codes 24 hours in advance. The codes she gave us didn't work for EventBrite. When we got to class and told her the codes didn't work for any of us (3 students) she said don't ask me about EventBrite. If you can't get the tickets or app to work you need to go EventBrite app and call them for help. The app has a help desk. Don't ask me during class. A week later she made a group announcement on Slack that she has completely changed the program offerings (for a 3rd time) and posted these structured tracks online - none of which are flexible and all are "hybrid" requiring in person Lab time every week. Her studio address is Naperville, but most of the in person classes are at a shared work space in Wheaton where the door is locked and she has to buzz students in. She tells students to arrive 10 minutes early and wait out in the cold until all the students are there and she will let us in all at once. On Nov 20th I called her again and instead of calling back she sent me a message on Slack that she thinks I should switch to the 100 YTT course because I'm "too busy" - but for the same price as the 200 YTT $1900!! She won't even discuss a 50% refund for changing her mind for a 4th time about her program offerings - only offering to deliver half the program to me now. Beyond disappointed and frustrated that Michelle took $1900 and is not delivering the program she sold me. Michelle is all about Michelle, not the students well-being. I'm not sure how anyone can learn to teach Yoga from a person who refuses to have ANY authentic verbal individual conversations with the student?

Natalia was our sound bowl therapist and was calm, spiritual and enlightening. I can't wait to go back and do this again. Natalia also is a Reiki master. I've done Reiki before and loved that experience as well. It was interesting to hear Natalia's thoughts of what she felt was going on with each of us at the end of the session. Two of us had the energy of our loved ones with us during the session, and I was lucky enough that Natalia felt the energy of my dad. I was able to tune out everything around me and delve into the experience, but my friends said they heard people talking within the other parts of the studio, such as massages and other therapies in other rooms. One gal said she felt like getting up and going outside to tell the people to not make so much noise. Again, I was very into what Natalia was doing and focused that I heard nothing and wasn't bothered by any outside noise. Maybe it would be simply scheduling things at different times for complete silence, I don't know. It wasn't an issue for me. If you haven't taken part in a sound bowl meditation, it's a very relaxing and spiritual experience. I highly recommend Natalia for sound bowl meditation. I can't wait to go back for another sound bowl or Reiki experience.
