Unfortunately, my experience changed when I needed to cancel my membership due to an unexpected financial hardship. I was told my membership would be canceled, but it wasn't, and I was still charged $111 for another month after I had specifically asked not to be charged. I understand having a 30-day cancellation policy, but I was disappointed that there was no willingness to work with me given my circumstances, especially after being told the membership would be canceled. I truly enjoyed this studio and the classes, which makes the situation even more frustrating. It's a great studio when everything is going smoothly, but I was disappointed with how my situation was handled when I needed some flexibility and help. I won't go back. The class was fairly challenging but there were options to make it easier or harder, depending on your level. Afterwards we were able to enjoy the spa amenities! They had various rooms and devices. We did 40min in the dry sauna, rinsed off, a couple minutes in the red light, and finished with a couple minutes in the cold plunge. The sauna and cold plunges were able to accommodate two persons at once so I can see this being a great couples activity. Afterwards my body felt so amazing and relaxed! All the spaces were so clean and felt new. The bathrooms were very clean as well and provided shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the showers. I believe we met the owner at the front desk and she was so sweet and accommodating. She helped us navigate all the spaces of the spa and provided clean towels and eye masks. I'm not local to Sacramento but I'm definitely paying this place another visit whenever I'm back in town. Highly recommend!

Almost two years post-Awaken YTT 2024, I find myself reflecting on how deeply grateful I am that I…read morechose Spotted Dog Yoga as the foundation of my teaching journey. What initially drew me to SDY was something as simple as a schedule that felt doable around work and life. Little did I know that committing to those 40-minute drives between Elk Grove and Folsom would become one of the most meaningful commitments I would ever make to myself. You enter Yoga Teacher Training wide-eyed, curious, and eager to learn how to teach yoga. But somewhere along the way, you realize you're learning so much more than that. You're learning how to meet yourself. You begin to explore parts of yourself you never knew existed. And through all the challenges life continues to bring, you keep showing up. That is the magic of Spotted Dog Yoga. They don't just teach you how to become a yoga teacher. They create a space where you feel seen, supported, challenged, and held accountable. A place that feels like family. A place that reminds you of your strength, especially in the moments you forget it yourself. Nearly two years later, that same wide-eyed curiosity is still within me. I'm still learning, still growing, and still finding new ways to deepen both my teaching and my personal practice. I've explored different styles, philosophies, and perspectives of yoga. And while that exploration has been beautiful and necessary, somewhere in the process of expanding, I found myself drifting away from the very things that first grounded me. Sometimes, in our eagerness to grow, we forget to return to what made us fall in love in the first place. And somehow, it was the principles of the Baptiste Methodology and the foundation SDY gave me that gently guided me back. Back Home. I'm realizing that growth isn't always about becoming someone new. Sometimes, it's about remembering who you were before the world taught you to question yourself. One of the greatest gifts of this journey is understanding that no matter how far I explore, how much I learn, or how I evolve as a teacher, I will always have a foundation to return to. Spotted Dog Yoga didn't just give me the tools to teach yoga. They gave me the foundation to trust myself, to keep growing, and to remember that the practice begins within me. And for that, I am endlessly grateful.
