Few months back I came in with a semi-serious burn, wait wasn't too bad but the doctor did not help my case at all. There were no tips on how to treat my wound at home, no recommended remedies, and he couldn't even bother to dress it himself. I went there for professional help and maybe a damn bandage but what I got was some half-assed assessment and an unnecessary $100+ bill. Few months down the line and they're sending me notices to pay off my already paid for bill. Do not recommend this one. read more

Horrible. Just absolutely horrible. My wife was there on Monday for a rapid Covid test. They tell you you'll have the results in 30-45minutes. They tell you they'll call you when the results are in. Two hours and several calls later, we finally get someone who checks her chart and tells us she tested positive. We ask about the medicine that is now available and they tell us they'll reach out to the doctor and have him sign off on the prescription. An hour later we still haven't heard anything and our pharmacy does not have the prescription so we call back, speak to another lady who tells us the same thing. She needs the doctor to sign off.. 5 minutes later, we get the call we should've gotten within an hour after the initial visit telling us she's positive. We ask this lady about the medicine. She tells us to call back because the doctor is going to wall to speak with my wife about the medicine, but he's currently with another patient. (SO now it's our job to catch the busy doctor in between patients?!?!) An hour later we call again and the lady that answers then tells us the prescription was sent via fax(at which point she went to make sure the fax actually went through). She was seen at 8:30. We finally got her medicine at 2:30p Literally 6 hrs of going back and forth with this urgent care, fighting to make sure my wife's care did not slip through the cracks. The whole experience screamed of chaos, disorganization, and lack of proper follow through to make sure their patients are taken care of... Fast forward to today. I am now feeling sick. This urgent care is two minutes from my home and my wife has convinced me our first experience was likely due to them being short staffed or some other unforeseen circumstance.. I'm not up for traveling further, so we go to this urgent care again. We were off to yet another rocky start when I try to call in to let them know I've checked in online and am told to go inside. I know I have Covid and I know I'm not supposed to go inside if I'm showing symptoms, but the man on the phone seems annoyed, so I agree and do what I'm told. The woman at the front desk seemed cold, but it's early in the day and I'm well aware I'm not the most chipper person either. The visit itself is quick. I get sent out to my car to wait. The lady that did the test was probably the only good worker there. We came home and about an hour after, we did get the call with my positive results. I ask about the medicine. This lady tells me my prescription has already been sent.. I foolishly get my hopes up, thinking my wife was right and Monday was just an off day. After an hour, I call the pharmacy. They do not have record of the prescription coming through, but tell me sometimes it is delayed from when the doctor sends it.. another hour later, still nothing. I call the urgent care and am told nothing was ever sent and they will need to get the doctor to sign off again. Two hours later, still nothing. I call back and am out on hold for 10 minutes.. my wife calls while I am on hold and gets through perfectly fine. The lady begins helping her(even though her call was receive well after mine). I hang up. The lady then tells her my prescription had been faxed over a while ago, but when she goes to check the fax FAILED to go through.. had we not called, they would have just assumed it went through fine. I am still waiting.. hoping the fax was actually resent and was successful this time. I NEVER want to deal with this urgent care EVER again. Next time I will take a slightly longer drive then have to fight for basic care all day. I was seen at about 8:20a this morning. It's almost 3pm and I still do not have the medicine I need. I just do not understand why I and my wife both had to micromanage an Urgent Care or risk never getting test results, never getting the treatment we need. What a nightmare. The girls that work here are so rude. I waited for two hours outside, they called me to come back to be seen and I've been waiting in this room for 45 minutes thinking I've been completely forgotten about. I called the front desk to remind them I'm back here and she told me that I can wait or go home. I've dedicated my whole day to waiting to be seen. Why would I go home? I'm already sitting in the room where the doctor comes to check. I don't appreciate her being so rude. Half of the staff doesn't wear masks which blows my mind cause just about everyone waiting in that waiting room has a monstrous cough. Well, they are gone now, so this review won't do anyone much good but I wanted to pay my respects to Dr Levin. I began seeing him not long after I moved to the Clovis area in the mid-90s for this and that. A few years ago my insurance changed and Dr Levin wasn't on the approved list for the new insurance so I was forced to find a new doctor (I got lucky and found another great one...Dr Jerry Reimer at Peachwood Medical). Dr Levin is not only a wonderful doctor, but he's also a great guy and I've still been coming to see him for my annual Commercial License exam and was getting ready to do so again soon when I read that they had closed down. I'm very saddened to see you guys go, Sir. I don't know if you've retired or if you have plans of practicing somewhere else but either way I wish both you and your staff all of the best in your futures. DON'T USE THIS AS AN URGENT CARE FACILITY. They have primary care patients and workman's comp that they make appointments for. So, I was here before they opened (Sat Morn), was fourth in line but 7 people were seen before me, that " had appointments? ". I've already been waiting 1 hour 15 min. since they opened and I am still in the waiting room with one person in front of me that got here after me. That will be the 3rd person to see the doctor before me that got here after me. Not really an Urgent Care. UPDATE: Called back to patient room at same time as next patient. Saw Dr. Levin very shortly after that. He was helpful and kind. Staff was very nice and professional. Total time was 1 hour and 50 minutes, but 10 can be taken off that because I got a shot that I had to wait 10 minutes to see if I would react to it. Overall good experience, only drawback is you may have to wait 1 hour + just to start to be seen. Would give 5 stars if urgent care patients weren't put behind appointments that get there after them. read more

The receptionist was great. The doctor was awful. She scheduled me for a phone appointment because I was showing covid symptoms. I appreciated this. However once she took my money she got on the phone for a 2 minute appointment and said there was nothing she could do to help me cause she needed to see me in person. The night before I had call to see if this was certain location was doing rapid covid testing since it's just down the street from home. I was told that they were and that even without insurance it would be for free. FREE.. key word! Well, morning comes and we're there by 8:30am waiting for them to open up. Once they're open and we're checking in, we were then told that our insurance was not accepted and that it would be $190 out of pocket. Not only was I piss and irritated for waking up early and standing in the heat, but to be denied because someone told me the wrong information. They say good things come to those who wait. At Clovis Urgent Care, great things come to those who wait. At most urgent care facilities you wait for hours, see a doctor who glances over you with all the concern of someone examining a booger they just dug out of their nose, who prescribes you the weakest antibiotic on the planet to placate you and tells you to follow up with your regular doctor. Dr. Levin, on the other hand, believes in making people better. He will give you a thorough examination, and prescribe the appropriate medication for whatever ails you. He has an x-ray machine on site and he isn't afraid to use it. And he has a staff of great nurses who we've come to know and like very well. When we couldn't find any decent pediatricians for our kids, we asked Dr. Levin if he would see them as well. He told us to bring them in. Turns out he has like 40 kids of his own, so he's really great with them. My kids absolutely adore him and he has taken great care of them. He doesn't do kid vaccinations, and I'm not recommending him to replace your current pediatrician, but Dr. Levin has done an outstanding job with ours, even helping us through weird developmental and premature birth issues. He's also not been afraid to write referrals for issues he feels are best handled by specialists. In addition to being a fantastic doctor, he's an all-around great person. We actually enjoy going to see him. He is very kind and caring, and has a razor sharp wit and sense of humor. I think if med school hadn't panned out for him, he could have pursued a promising career in comedy. Now there is the issue of the wait time. It can be pretty long, so bring something to do. But that's the deal when there's something worth waiting for. Ever been to an amusement park? Lots of waiting there, too. Because the rides are awesome. You'll wait a while here, too, but Dr. Levin is awesome. And I don't think the wait is even as bad as other urgent care facilities. And also keep in mind that it's kind of silly to expect him to spend a lot of time with you just because you waited a long time to see him. Some problems are complex and require a lot of time. Others are quick and simple. Each issue is dealt with accordingly. He tells you what you need to know and will explain anything you want as many times as you need, and probably throw in some fun personal chit chat as he's working. But he's not going to sit there and shoot the breeze for 20 minutes when there's a busy waiting room. If he spends a long time with someone in front of you, it's because he needed to. If he doesn't spend a long time with you, it's probably because it wasn't necessary and there are a lot of people behind you who, like you, also hate long waits. So if you're looking for a doctor who is going to fly through the patients in his waiting room and then devote a ton of time to your runny nose, you'll probably want to look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a brilliant, caring, knowledgeable doctor who will provide you with excellent care and probably a few laughs along the way, and you're willing to wait an appropriate amount of time for such care, you won't do better than Dr. Levin. read more

An urgent care that doesn't have X-ray? What kind of urgent care is this? How pathetic.

This has to be one of the most useless worthless and downright terrible medical urgent care services in the valley. When I went in there the lady at the desk didn't want to see me because I was willing to pay cash she said she could not legally or ethically see me which obviously Ridiculous. Ethically she couldn't see me but ethically she is willing to turn someone away who is injured and willing to pay cash makes no sense to me. Now I'm trying to get my medical records and they want to charge me $50 which I think is ridiculous I don't know if it's standard practice but they are my medical records I did pay for them. I called them on Friday asking for them they said the doctor had to sign them fine doctor was supposed to sign on Monday it's Tuesday now the doctor did not sign them and they don't wanna let me talk to the person in charge over the phone I'd rather me come in personally has tried to avoid the place because they just frustrate me to no end it'll go in and I'll make a stink so be at zero rating if I could read more

Dr. Laura was great! The wait is the only thing, but I feel like that is common in Urgent Care. I always expect to wait. I called to see when they take their last patient, and they said 5:30. I literally got there at 5:30 and was their last patient. I think I waited about 30-40 minutes max. I was out of there by 6:30. I had no issues, and didn't have any issues the last time I went there. read more

Very friendly staff. Great doctor. I just felt he really cares and not rushing to see as many patients as he can. Both my 6yr and 3yr weren't afraid of him and even joked around with him. Which they NEVER did with their pediatrician. The girls in the front even made a joke that they would have to remind the dr that there are more patients to be seen. Meaning he takes his time with each and every patient. For an urgent care facility, I felt like he was my family dr for years. I wish he was a family care dr. I would sign right up! read more

I feel like I need to bump up my previous rating a bit from last time. I was here today and noticed a lot of new faces...and they were actually friendly! I still don't care for the desk girls. They show the personality of a rock and always seem pretty confused. They don't smile at patients, have no sense of humor and just don't really make you feel welcome. If you can get past them, you will find that the nurses (both male and female) are congenial, easy to joke around with and sympathetic to your ailment. The male nurses didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all, but I've had two c-sections and after that, being naked in front of strangers doesn't phase me in the slightest. If you are a prude who is going to flip out when a man asks you to take off your bra so he can do a chest x-ray, just rest assured that they are professional. There is a blonde nurse there...I didn't catch her name, but she gave me two shots in the ba-donka-donk today and I didn't feel the needle at all. She is the Holy Grail of needle workers. I shall seek her out next time. There is a new Doctor there..his name is Dr. Lao. He is serious, but not rude, just very quick to get to the point. He seems to treat your sickness aggressively, which may not be your style, but you'll still be alive at the end of it, so I don't know what you're bitchin' about. I will always prefer Dr. Levin over any other doctor, but that is because he is very paternal and comforting, but also manages to have an awesome sense of humor to put you at ease. The wait today was a bit much, especially after I called and was told that they were very slow. I put on my flip-flops, grabbed my keys, zoomed over there....and there were about 8 people ahead of me. I got there around 12:30 and left a bit after 4. I don't like leaving bad reviews. But I rely on them and support them if they are truthful. Here is my experience. I woke up this morning feeling really bad. My urgent care didn't open until 9 am and I felt too awful to wait. Clovis Urgent Care opened at 7 am. I was saved! I ignored the poor Yelp reviews and drove there right away. How bad could it be this early in the morning? I arrived at 7:50 am. The receptionist was nice and in ten minutes I had all my paperwork done. There were only two people in the waiting room. I sat down relieved that I would be seeing a doctor soon. I sat there. And sat there. The three of us sat there actually. About 8:30 another patient came in. Now four of us sat there. Finally at 8:45 a patient was called in. I sat there watching the time tick past 9 am - my urgent care was now open. I got up, cancelled my appointment, walked out and drove to my urgent care across town. Perhaps I was too impatient. But they sure did not look busy. I absolutely love this urgent care! Dr. Levin and his staff are friendly, funny and caring. I have been coming here for years and I wouldn't go anyplace else. Not many urgent care doctors in a walk-in clinic are on call 24 hours, but Dr. Levin is! I had an after hours reaction to an antibiotic and Dr. Levin called me back within minutes and gave me a new medicine as well as instructions on how to stop the reaction. I recommend this place to all of my family and friends and now Dr. Levin is the primary doctor for my husband and my mom. Don't waste your time in the ER or at other urgent care centers. One of the worst medical experiences of my life, I would strongly advise against going here. I had to go in for a pap smear and asked if there was a possibility that I could get a female doctor. I got a curt "no" and was told to sit down without being given any other options. So I'm already pretty uncomfortable with a male doctor giving me a pap smear but I figure I can tough it out. Throughout the whole appointment Dr Levin made me feel beyond uncomfortable. I get that asking about sexual history is important medical information but it is in no way okay to give me a stern look and head shake when I say I don't have a steady boyfriend. Making it worse, he then told me abruptly to "take off my pants". When he came back in the room he grabbed my hips to scoot me forward on the table and then said "good girl" like I'm some dog doing a trick. It made my skin crawl. I start getting incredibly uncomfortable during this pap smear and it's VERY clear, but he just keeps getting irritated with me and telling me to "just calm down and stop being nervous". Thanks for the advice, guy who just made my skin crawl. I felt violated by the end of it. I left there in tears. To top it all off, I get a final notice bill THREE months later (without any previous notice) charging me for an additional $50 even though I was told that my on office copay covered everything. I called them about it and they had 0 sympathy or apologies and told me I better pay quick before it gets sent to collections. So yeah long story short, felt incredibly violated, left in tears, got a last notice bill 3 months after the fact to rub salt in the wound. Thanks. read more

I brought my mother in, because she is currently receiving chemo for lung cancer. She had developed a sore throat and runny nose and cough. I wwasnt sure if we should bring her in or nOt- dr. Boswella (I think that's what his name was)) said for sure we did the right thing. He was so caring and gentle to my Mom, re-assured her "we will take care of you." That's one thing I really appreciate, as I'm sure my mother is scarred to death of dying in the first place because of her lung cancer. We waited about an hour before we were even called to complete paperwork. But after that it didn't take long. It's now 11:35 and we arrived at 9:30. I tried to make an online appointment, and we were already here before we got the email sayinG that appointment time isn't available, but walk ins are welcome. So I walked into this urgent care and asked what it cost to be seen the lady at the front desk named Angela told me it would be 150 that would include prescription and doctors visit. We started chit chatting about other urgent cares and how costly they were. I told her that I had went to another urgent care and it was only $75 but there were no doctors available until after 6 and that I didn't want to wait that long. She responded by saying that "she heard a lot of bad shit a bout that place." Which I found was extremely tacky and unprofessional for her to be cussing at her place of business. But I blew it off because there was no wait. So I get to the back they take a look at my allergic reaction and they tell me I need a shot and a few prescriptions I'm like ok that's fine. About 5 minutes later they come on saying it'll be an additional 120 for my shot. I was threw off because I'm the beginning I was told it was all inclusive that the only thing that would be extra was X-rays. So I pay for the shot now I'm out 270. Then as I'm walking out they tell me I have to go to a different location to pick up my prescriptions and I ask them if there going to be free since I paid the 150 and it was supposed to be included and they look at me weird. They ask me who said they'd be included and I say Angela at the front desk so she walks back and gets a huge attitude rolling her head around and acting all aggressively tacky again becoming more and more argumentative. At this point I had to stop her and ask her to speak to her manager who was right on the other side of the door listening and didn't say one word to her employee. I explained to her that Angela has a huge attitude and that I was told everything was included in the 150 and she simply replied she'd have a talk with her. Doctors are great, service is usually pretty fast.. however, the main girl at the front (Think her name is jasmine with long black hair) gets an attitude every time she suspects one is given towards her or the staff. My mother has pneumonia. She saw a doctor here, got antibiotics and was told come back in a week for a check up. She scheduled an appointment for 3:30. Well that week passed, and we are now here at this clinic. It's currently 6:51........ that's 3 hours past our appointment time and we have still not been seen. We were told they were trying to "squeeze in the appointments between the walk ins" So apparently at this clinic making an appointment means absolutely nothing whatsoever. Walk ins take precedent. My husband and I both recently developed sinus infections, and this urgent care was able to see us each very quickly. Their staff was friendly and efficient! We both saw and enjoyed Dr. Levin very much. He had a sense of humor while still maintaining a high level of professionalism, he LISTENED to me (I did not feel this way at a different urgent care last week, they didn't diagnose me with anything!) and was quick but efficient and thorough. The Doc really take time with each patient and is very personal and listens to you and doesn't just rush u out to get to the next patient.
