I went to her to her for a hysterectomy. My Dr was going on maternity leave and I needed surgery done asap. She was just seemed like she didn't wanna do it. She was dismissive. I had the pleasure to meet Destinee today. She was super friendly and made me comfortable.

When I got pregnant I didn't have an OBGYN in the area since I had recently moved back from LA. Being a woman in the US has been scary so I researched and looked specifically for a woman doctor and a POC. I am Mexican and again was searching for someone who would hopefully be more understanding of a POC. I heard great things about Dr. Ikedilo and was excited to be her patient. Her practice for the most part was friendly. My first ultrasound tech however was extremely rude my husband showed up less than 5 minutes late and she didn't want to let him in. (MY FIRST ULTRASOUND) during this shes happened to find a fibroid and told me as if I knew! Pretty sure ultrasound techs aren't supposed to share this info. Unfortunately it became apparent very quickly that I would not see Dr. Ikedilo often. I was booked with her assistant almost every visit until the end of my pregnancy and even then I only saw her a handful of times. She was kind enough but never spent much time with me. I told her from the beginning I really wanted to deliver naturally and since I found out about the fibroid I constantly checked with her to see if it would prevent that from happening. She said we would monitor it but that she didn't think it would prevent me. I also mentioned to her I had doulas that would be helping me. Fast forward to my last appointment before my due date she again tells me my fibroid is not in the way and I should be able to deliver naturally. Unfortunately my water broke before starting contractions. I call her office at around 4 in the morning the staff on call tells me to go to the hospital but I know it can take a long time for contractions to pick up so I decide to call my doula who tells me I don't need to go in yet. My family is nervous I still haven't gone in and so I go to the hospital at 6:00pm I can overhear my nurse calling Dr. Ikedilo and she responds with asking why I came in if I didn't have contractions yet.. your practice told me to come in at midnight?! Fine I get put in a room and don't see her until 9:00pm (first time since I've been checked in) she comes in and immediately starts scolding me yelling me I'm not taking her advice that I need to be scheduled for a c-section. I am completely confused this was the first time she had mentioned this to me. Even my husband is looking at her confused and she has the nerve to turn to him and say "why are you looking at me like that?!" I remind her of my last visit and she continues to say I'm going again medical advice. Then she looks around and asks "where's your doula? I have to be here all night why aren't they here?" Mocking the fact that I have one in the first place. She then leaves and this is the ONLY time I see her. She clocked out at 7 in the morning and I haven't seen her since giving birth. Dr. Mason from her practice ended up doing my c-section the next day and did an amazing job. I have since gone back to the practice for my check ups and as I mentioned did not see Dr. Ikedilo again. I asked to be switched to Dr. Mason and they said it was a conflict of interest. I will not be returning to this practice and am extremely disappointed with Dr. Ikedilo's care. read more

Doctor Ikedilo was my OBGYN for my second pregnancy. For my first pregnancy, I went to a different OBGYN. I didn't enjoy my experience...I saw my doctor 3 times in 9 months and never saw her for my 6 week checkup after birth. The atmosphere was cold and I just felt like another number, not a person over there. I didn't want to experience that again for my second pregnancy so I searched for someone with good reviews and Dr. Ikedilo came up. First let me say, the difference between my first pregnancy and second pregnancy OB-visits, were night and day. The office and staff were nice. They were never rude and cold over the entire 9 months. I saw Dr. Ikedilo consistently all throughout my entire pregnancy. I only had 4 visits with an NP which is funny because for my first pregnancy, the NP was practically my Doctor since I never really saw my actual Doctor and saw my NP at almost every appointment and even at my 6 week postpartum checkup. With Dr. Ikedilo I felt like a person who mattered and not just a number who they needed to hurry up and get in and then get out. It was nice that she remembered me every time and that I didn't feel like a stranger. She was always nice, warm, sweet and friendly. She was easy to talk to. Her attitude was always pleasant and I just felt that she was a genuinely caring Doctor. The waits were usually pretty stable, maybe 15 min and sometimes longer but whenever there was a super long wait, they would be fully aware and make me aware and they'd sincerely apologize. Offices were clean and well organized. When I went into labor saw, Dr. Ikedilo was the in call delivering doctor that night at the hospital. I was very thankful because I had always wished my own doctor could deliver my baby. Well my wish came true & God heard the secret prayer hidden in my heart. Dr. Ikedilo came to say hello to my husband and I when we got admitted. She delivered my baby 5 hours after I arrived at the hospital and she was amazing in the delivery room. She put me at ease with her calm and peaceful demeanor. It was so relieving to have a familiar face during such vulnerable and intense time. When It was time to push, she allowed me to push at my own pace when I felt like pushing. She was patient and gentle and even through all my pain (and screaming lol) she really kept me calm inside and made me feel like I could endure through it all just by her calm, cool, kind and caring demeanor. After about 10minutes of pushing, the baby was born. My husband said from his point of view, he saw that she really knew how to smoothly handle everything down there and he thought the way she delivered the baby was beautifully done and she did it very smoothly. She communicated with me everything that she was doing right after. She talked to me and made me feel comfortable. Our first experience delivering our first born was the complete opposite with a Doctor we didn't know. The whole delivery was traumatic so this time around we were just experiencing something so vastly different and were amazed. The nurse in triage, the nurse in the delivery room, and the nurse in postpartum all expressed how much they loved Dr. Ikedilo and how they thought she was super sweet. My postpartum nurse told me she ran into Dr. Ikedilo after she was supposed to be off her shift but found out she had stayed to deliver my baby. That really made my day and says about about her. I felt so so grateful and just thought "wow, what an amazing doctor!" She didn't have to go out of her way and stay to deliver my baby after a super long exhausting shift. I had my 6 week postpartum checkup today and Doctor Ikedilo was once again her warm, friendly, and sweet self. She did my checkup with ease, it went very smoothly and afterwards she even came to see my new baby and say hello to my husband, she honestly feels like family with how nice she is. It's not just me who feels she's great, even my husband said he wished he knew her outside of being my doctor because she has the same joy filled personality as his mom which is comforting since she's so far away. I'm genuinely grateful for her and I'd say she's the best doctor I've had. I'd highly recommend her!! read more

I had a few hiccups with my ob transfer of care, but with the help of Shiree and Office Manager, Ingrid, I was able to be accepted as a new patient and I couldn't be happier! My experience with this office so far has been one of genuine care and great attention to detail. I'm excited to be their patient for my pregnancy! Dr. Ikedilo and her staff have always been courteous and respectful since I was referred here in 2017 for several Gynelogical issues. I was very anemic with pre-menopausal irregular bleeding and they were on the ball as well as very empathetic with my concerns and that of my family. There was no rush or pressure to do surgery or other invasive procedures that have their own risks that may affect my other health problems. Since I have been around the block many times through many years, I had a lot of contact with health care providers. I realize it is important that they ask all the questions and have all the info they can get to better serve the patient. I may have been uncomfortable as a young women, but as that fades with time and experience. It is all meant for my good and other patients. Also, have an appreciation for experienced educated Nurse Practitioners that work closely with Dr. Ikedilo as they did in my case. They know their practice scope limitations and had the doctor deal with more challenging cases. FYI: since I have lived this long in this valley, it has been reported to be an with a shortage of doctors. Also, learned to double and triple check the type of appointment that was made and the name of the office person that scheduled it. Got to document because we are all humans. I had hope that this doctor was going to help me with my condition, but it seems that was just a pipe dream. The only positive, is the nurse practitioner, Rupi. Thanks to her, and ONLY her, I've finally started to find the answer to what has been making me sick for 12+ years now, after being dismissed by my PCP, and a gastroenterologist, both telling me, 'I'm fine,' and 'it's stress.' Dr. Ikedilo isn't much better. After my yearly exam this year with NP Rupi, I was asked if I've ever been diagnosed with endometriosis. I hadn't, and knew little to nothing about it. She asked did I want to do the diagnostic surgery to see if that's what has been making me so sick. I said no, seemed drastic for just a diagnosis. She said to research it and schedule a follow up to consult with the Dr. since she'd be the one doing the surgery. I ended up reading about it, and it sounded like EVERYTHING I've been telling numerous doctors for YEARS! I scheduled the consult with the Dr., only to have to wait almost 2 months because she was out for a month, and the day of my appt. I find out, the office staff had me noted as coming in for something completely incorrect! I explained what my appt was for, they argued with me and told me it didn't matter. I arrived to my appt. waited OVER TWO HOURS for the doctor to see me, and completely waste my time. She basically went over a synopsis of what I had already discussed with the NP after my annual exam. Absolutely no mention of endo or the surgery when I was told, when I called months prior to make the appt, that the consult would include whether it was covered by insurance and answers to all my other questions. The doctor reported false information in my chart after my appt. I was scheduled for an MRI, which the doctor said is fairly inconclusive at best in detecting endo. The MRI did show fibroids, and more than I was aware of, since being detected during 2 ER visits. They are also larger than I was aware of. The doctor told me during my last appt that the fibroids were no big deal. Except, I'm in daily pain, and have been for about 6+ months, with multiple symptoms getting progressively worse over the past 12+ years. I wouldn't recommend this office to my worst enemy. The office staff is, incompetent at best. I've had numerous issues with the office staff as well, but I'll spare you an even longer review of why you should go ANYWHERE else! read more

Horrible experience!!!!! Do not waste your time!!! I made an appointment for an annual check up. When I got there I had to pay a 50$ copay because Rebecca in the front did not schedule it as an annual. She scheduled it as an appointment to discuss birth control. Which I did not find out until I was taken back into the room with the very rude nurse practitioner. The nurse was hounding me with questions that made me feel super uncomfortable. When I notified her that I thought I was seeing dr. for my annual ,she was very rude and said that was not the case and I would need to schedule an appointment for that. She only blocked off time to discuss birth control. (Her time blocked off was 5 minutes and my insurance was billed for 40 minutes). Over all highly disappointed that I took time off of work for this and was not reimbursed my 50$ copay. This office is a scam. read more

WORST DECISION I EVER made was coming to this place. Dr. Ikedilo and all of her staff are VERY unprofessional and EXTREMELY condescending. I will say that the facility looks well kept and appears clean; however, having appointments at two different facilities is very inconvenient. I was referred to this place due to being a patient at Northwest, but I will NEVER recommend that anyone comes here, especially if you are a FTM. They will rush you through appointments and also do not take the time to listen to your concerns which was very important to me as this was my first pregnancy. I left every appointment so uninformed, sad, confused, and in tears. If for some reason anyone decides to come here, be sure to clarify deadlines and information as they will only assume what you want and write that in their notes. Even after explaining how confused I was, after being told different information from each staff member, Dr. Ikedilo blamed me for the misunderstanding of her staff and accused me of things she later admitted never happened. She also failed to mention in her notes that her ultrasound tech placed a note, speaking poorly of me, in a report she asked me to give to the Dr. I advised Dr. Ikedilo how unprofessional the note was and she dismissed my feelings. Lastly, if you plan on transferring care do not advise their office until after your appointment. Once they know you want to transfer care, they will treat you as if you are no longer a patient even if your new provider has not yet accepted you as their patient. Again, if you care about the well being of your health and child I recommend picking anywhere else but here. read more
