This place is right off of Clovis avenue. Not that big maybe 10-15 parking spots. They have big blue barrels on wheels you just go grab and fill them up and roll them to the guys that will weight it and give you a ticket. Take your ticket to the only little building and collect your money !! Easy peasy lol.. it was nice they had like these portable had washing stations if you need them. They might not be the best price per pound in town but for me it's easy and convenient. read more

The dude and I came to the Clovis Recycling Center in September 2021. I've never gone to a the center so I honestly didn't know what to expect! We sorted out our cans, bottles and glass before arriving and we only took a 1/3 of our collected recycling as the dudes car is small and can only fit so much. We found parking very easy and just followed the leaf like the others. They have bins for glass and non glass. It took us about 15 minutes to dump our bags into the bins and do another check. There were about 6 people there not including us just recycling. I seriously loved the experience as it was pleasant. Staff was very friendly they appeared busy as people will continue to come and go. They weigh the bins and write all these numbers. Then you go to the window and they will give you cash!!! Woah like easy money. The small recycling we had it was total $40 which was not bad! Extra spending money, saving etc !! We have about 20 bags of recycling to get rid of off our living area so looking forward to earning a few bucks and giving back to the environment. There looked like there were pros there who were legit opening garbage and taking out the recycling. I am trying to convince my family to go GREEN but they feel it is not worth the time or efforts so they are starting to give me their recycling instead of trashing it which is better than nothing. Overall, we will be regulars and coming back often so I can have my living areas cutter free! Great experience highly recommend! read more

This was my first time going here, I had great recommendations from family members. The service was overall well. The only thing that was disappointing was I only got 2 dollars for 20+ pounds of glass. Even though it isn't really this places fault. Today I went to recycle my aluminum cans (all crushed- amounted to a full blue container), plastics (2 full containers) and a small bag of glass. I've been going to this location for a few years because they are located closest to me. The employees are cordial, some friendlier than others and sometimes lend a hand. This trip was quest for me. Have noticed a trend at this location that is concerning. Read thru the reviews and found a few, have also come across someone with a similar account as to what I encountered. So, after the weights were taken and was handed the receipts, I took a picture of each one, went to the cashier to collect and also asked for my receipt. I was the last customer and they were now closed. It was bright out and hard for me to check the receipt and had to get home to check on my son's dog. Once home, I checked on the dog and then pulled out the receipt to check the info. The print was a little light in one spot, so it was hard for me to see it outside, even inside I had a hard time seeing it. This is what I noticed: the numbers for the glass and plastics were correct but the weight of my aluminum cans was way off, saying my net weight is 4.5 pounds, the date and time stamp on the receipt for the machine that weighs the aluminum is incorrect. This isn't the first time that this has happened, just now I have proof. STOP STEALING from your customers. WHO do need I need to contact to report and complain to? read more

I don't understand the 4 & 5 Star ratings! The Clovis Center staff simply weighs your bottles and cans and gives you a slip of paper to take to the payment window. No one brings you the barrels or helps you load your bottles & cans into them - Even if you are displaying your disability placard. :( I lived in Hilo, Hawaii for 13 years. We had three recycling centers for a small town with 48K people in the area. The staff at these centers did the things I complained about the Clovis Center not doing in the paragraph above. They did those things whether you were able-bodied or disabled. I simply drove up, opened the back of my SUV and they took care of the rest. Clovis should offer the same service here -- especially for those of us with a disability placard. read more

if your going to this location, make sure you take someone that's knowledgeable with recycling and know your getting your moneys worth because otherwise they'll screw you over. I was suppose to get at least $20 but gave me only $8. if it wasn't for my kids being with me I would've said something. Guy was being extremely picky and throwing out a lot of stuff, even water bottles that had a bit of water that i missed but could still be recycled so that's what it contributed to me getting less then what I was suppose to get and the fact that I was the only one who got all their recycling THOROUGHLY examined makes me think they either discriminate or take advantage. read more

Have been here a few times and of course the first time is a little nervous as you're not too sure on the process; however, all the staff there make it so easy to catch on. They are friendly and helpful until you get the process down. One tip is to have everything sorted before you go to make it easier and quicker once you are there. There are three containers on wheels to sort you're plastic, cans, and glass bottles (this one needs to be in the gray container is for bottles). The parking lot can get busy at times but I've never had a problem finding a spot. Also it can get a little sticky, so I'd suggest having actual shoes on vs flip flops like I did last time :-) read more

I'm rating this high because I hate visiting recycling centers! Many times the lines are super long! We found this one on Yelp when we didn't want to wait in the long lines. It's easy to find and easy to get in and exit. They offer bins to put your recycles in. Once sorted you go up to the lane. There is a window for payment. The whole experience was super easy, we were out in less than a few minutes. Super convenient! read more

Organize your cans, bottles and glass before you get there. No need to remove the plastic bottle caps. CA CRV $1.50 per pound for aluminum, .10 cent for glass, $1.20 for plastic bottles (#1) and I even brought some other plastic items (#2 & #7) .30 cent and they recycled them. Assembly line style with partial shade, guys working are friendly. Lots of barrels on wheels to fill your items in. If you go on their website there is a coupon that bumps up the pay back by .05 cents or so. Don't think they take wine bottles but not sure. Area is not clean but what recycle place really is, needs a good hose down, smell not that bad but I went in Fall season. They pay out cash not a voucher. It can get a bit loud with all the machinery. read more

It stinks because it's a recycling center. It's all about our Mother Earth right? The only reason I go to this location is because it's in Clovis. They offer a fair price for your plastic and metal and they take glass. They'll even accept the #2's, cardboard, etc. I recommend this place if you are close to this location. There's a second location just around the block, they take metals (steel, used appliances, etc...mostly scrap metals). I've used them when I cleaned out my garage and had all this scrap metals--old tools etc. It was great! No matter where you go, just keep recycling. It's good for the environment, it's good for you. I use the bit of cash I get to buy donation items for the animal shelter. That's how I roll. If you can think of other creative ideas for spending the cash, I'd love to hear them! read more

I was very impressed with the cleanliness, great customer service, and the organization of this place. They have barrels to sort your items that you bring in WITH WHEELS!!! That helps out when you have more than two barrels. They greet you with great attitude like they actually like their job unlike other recycling places. They don't try to be a fortune tellers and guess the weight of your items. They take their time to weigh it and give the correct information. The best part is THEY GIVE YOU A RECIEPT!!!! So you know exactly what's happening. We will be relocating all our recycling transactions with Clovis recycling center. Great job!!! read more

Went to recycle cans had 1 full bag emptied into container guy gave me paper that said 1 1/2 pound i asked that whole bag only weights 1 1/2 pound he tells me only we are having problems with scales was not going to tell me just let me get RIPPED off like all the people that were in front of me weighed on different scale was little over 4 pounds not a lot of money but it's they were using broken scales and not tell nobody will never go back. read more
