We have gone to this place for years, and they have always been great. I don't know what happened all of a sudden, but today we came in with at least 50-60 pounds of aluminum cans, and a couple pounds of plastic bottles. We were given $23. ReCyCo of Fresno has been a place I've been visiting since the age of 14, I'm 21 now, not living in Fresno anymore but when I get the chance to visit, I'm selling my cans here. The employees over the past years have definitely changed up and the scene of happy recycling has changed a bit, nevertheless the business running standards are still the same. Reason for the three star review of this place was due to some unfortunate circumstances I've received with previous employees. Overall, want to recycle your bottles, cans, cardboards, aluminum, lays potato chip stax's bottles? You got the place! Just recently they implemented the system of putting our recycled into large bins before weighing, definitely takes up more time but there are great employees who are willing to help you out. Which is greatly appreciated. Oh and try to come early, I find that's when the lines are short and DO NOT come after a busy holiday (i.e the day after July 4) you'll regret it. :-) read more

I mean it's a recycling center so I don't expect much. I believe this place pays a bit more than the other locations but don't quote me on that. As for wait time it always just depends. Sometimes I get there at the earliest and it's a long wait and sometimes I go in the afternoon and it's quick, or vice versa. When I went this past Saturday there were 2 lines and it was moving quite quickly until this family suddenly had about 30 bags waiting in their truck (not joking). Visited this location a few months back, little d sad ketchup area, but it does get packed pretty quick! Parking is limited when full. The process of receiving the recycles is pretty efficient. Staff is pretty monotone and quiet , they don't talk much. To help the flow be sure your recycles are separated and the process flows faster! Well waiting an hour in half in the sun was not worth the extra 5 cents a pound. They had 2 lines, unfortunately got into the one that had one employee working it and the other line had 3. Customer service is very minimal. There's was no greetings or communication at all. Waited over an hour to be help. It was such a hot day as well and I got sunburn waiting outside in line. I've always found the employees more than helpful, however, there was one man who possibly either didn't understand English well, or he just didn't want to help. He's the ONE exception, so I won't throw out the baby with the bathwater. I've taken my recyclables there 3 times now, and have dealt with only one fellow that wasn't super helpful. We visited Reyco last weekend. Because we were coming from Chowchilla, I called first and spoke with a very friendly woman who explained their hours, directions, etc. She informed me that 15 minutes before closing, they close their gates. When we arrived, we were met with a very busy, efficiently run business. We weren't sure where to take our truckload of cardboard, so we located and asked a very friendly person. Not difficult. I had a very poor experience with Recyco. First their business hours show that they are open until 5:30. I got off of work at 5:00 yesterday and got there at 5:15 to find the gates closed and an employee letting people out, but not in. Clearly they are NOT open until 5:30. So I came back today on my lunch break. I went in and ask one of the workers at the scales if I could bring in an old exercise bike and a stepper. He said yes so I went out to my truck and brought them in. He and another employee then met me at the scales and said they wouldn't take them. I looked at the older man and said, "You just told me you did a minute or so ago". He just looked kind of surprised and started repeating they won't take them. Now either he didn't understand me the first time or just did care enough to listen. Either way this place is crap for customer service and I'll never be back again. read more

Recyco is the worst recycler in town. Avoid at all costs. Their employees are rude, lazy and obnoxious. The worst part is that you never know when they are open. Their hours state they are open until 5:30 pm but I have arrived a half hour before closing and they wouldn't let me or anyone else in. I also arrived one hour before closing and again they were closed. The place is filthy, loud and their lines are super long while some employees do nothing and don't open new lines. I want to give no star at all for this recycle place. First of all, the staff employees there are so rude. I remember one of them is a guy who closed the gate before the closing time. They close at 5:30 pm. but he closed the gate at 5:00 pm. and don't let anyone in. There are many customers wanted to get in because we look at business hours that it is still open. He shouted at customers, being so nasty and very rude even some customers come with a baby in carseat. We drove from across the town. They implemented a new system where they go through each and every can/plastic bottle looking for water in the bottles, sand/rocks in the cans.
