Maples visit. Started anxiety meds and doing dog stuff now!
    Sarah C.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]On such a sad day for losing our 14 year old girl, the staff and Dr Dhillon were kind, personal and caring.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They took the time to explain our options, comfort us and her, and give us time to make decisions.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We go there for our other dogs too and knew they would be the best place for today. We adopted a rescue from Valley Animal Center that was very anxious. Dr. Fenster was professional, knowledgeable, and great to work with. The office is clean and spacious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff is always kind.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Bless them for helping us today.

    Feeling so much better!

The doctors and staff are fast, caring, attentive, knowledgeable, and truely take the time to listen to your concerns. They'll give great tips and tricks besides your pet clincal bills. The clinic is clean, spacious, and provides fast, efficient care. I recommend calling ahead for an appointment. They also do accept walk-ins with a reasonable wait time. Office visits price is at $60. Overall, I've always felt welcomed, heard, and confident in the care my dog receives here.

Armstrong Animal Hospital was able to get us in within about three hours, which we truly appreciated. Because Khloe is a senior cat, the doctor recommended being thorough. They performed a full exam, bloodwork, X-rays, and a urinalysis to rule out anything serious. All of her results came back normal, which was incredibly reassuring. Dr. Sunamar Deol took the time to explain the results clearly and walk us through what they meant, rather than just listing numbers. Dr. Deol explained that they would treat the situation conservatively as an upset stomach and nausea, and prescribed exactly what Khloe needed without over-treating. We felt listened to, informed, and supported throughout the visit. Nothing felt rushed or dismissive, and the plan made sense based on her symptoms and test results. One week later, Khloe is completely back to her normal self -- eating and drinking well, sleeping with us again, and showing her full personality. We're very grateful for Dr. Deol's thoughtful care and Armstrong Animal Hospital's ability to step in quickly when we needed help. We would absolutely recommend them, especially for senior pets who need careful, attentive evaluation.

What I appreciate most is that I have always felt like they genuinely care about her quality of life and about us as her family. They have taken the time to answer my many questions, explain what is happening, discuss realistic options, and help us figure out how to care for her at home. I have never felt rushed, dismissed, or judged for asking questions or wanting to understand every option available to us. During a stressful and emotional time, their team has helped make things feel much more manageable. I especially appreciate the honesty and compassion they have shown when discussing her condition. They have celebrated the good signs with us while still being realistic about her health, which means more than they probably realize. Poopoo is incredibly important to our family, and knowing that she is being cared for by people who treat her with kindness and dignity gives us so much peace of mind. Thank you to everyone at Riverpark Pet Hospital for taking such wonderful care of our girl and for being so patient with her very worried humans. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinary team that truly cares about their patients.

Our first experience was with Greta in July of 2023. 16.5 year old Greta was giving us the heads up that she was ready to go. Dr. Gary came in and Greta went peacefully across the rainbow bridge. Greta's brother Wesley, made it to 17.5 years. Ands just has his sister. He moved on peacefully with the help of Dr. Gary. Bella. Our big girl. Still jumping in the couch and chasing the rc car all the way up to a couple weeks ago. In just three days. She stopped eating and was giving us those eyes that we have seen to often non the last year. I am sure Wesley was calling her to walk with him along the mystical canal. Bella. Also just short of 17 years. Not the most touchy feely girl. She came and laid down on the bed where Dr. Gary and I were sitting. All three are together now.

I said no, she already passed and I still had her body in my arms and was calling about cremation services and how much it would cost. The person on the other line went silent. I kept saying hello, hello for awhile, but realized they disconnected the call. We went to Cedar Veterinary instead and took her and paid for her cremation. Not a good way to handle a call after a person's pet has crossed the rainbow bridge.

I was told that they had to have RABIES VACCINE PROOF. THIS WAS NEVER STATED ON THE WEBSITE. This was a huge waste of my time as I drove from afar with three small children and three cats in carriers. I have recently fostered and adopted from here two months ago. The clinic needs to do better. IF PROOF OF RABIES VACCINE WAS REQUIRED, THIS SHOULD'VE BEEN POSTED ON WALK-IN CLINIC INFORMATION PAGE OR ANYWHERE. Also, I was told that I might not get seen because 10 puppies were just brought in. It's like they were looking for an excuse to turn me away. There's a walk-in clinic right up the street. I'll be taking my services there from here on out. Lastly, this is no way to treat your fosters and adopters let alone anyone!

Fast forward a week and she's crying and struggling to go to the bathroom. We thought constipation. After a whole night of pain we called VAC and they said they had no appointments for follow up, it wasn't the antibiotics and to go to urgent care. We ended up at a different vet who first thing palpated her bladder and felt a mass. Then took a simple xray which showed 3 large bladder stones, one of which was blocking her from going pee. I'm no Dr, but wouldn't the original ultrasound from VAC show this? Wasn't that the point of the ultrasound? Even the 2nd vet was baffled that they didn't detect 3 cheese ball sized bladder stones via ultrasound, which I hear provides more detailed information than an X-ray. Anyway, I find that surprisingly incompetent. And even if they couldn't provide the necessary treatment (surgery), I would assume they would have spotted something so obvious and offered a treatment plan. Maybe they didn't even do the ultrasound? But they certainly billed for it. Anyway, boo on you VAC. Don't go here, they messed up big time.

We went to Alta Animal Hospital because they could fit us in on the day we called. We ended up waiting for over an hour and a half past our "appointment" in their cramped waiting area before they even called on us, then there was a lot of waiting in the exam room. When the doctor finally came in, he was pleasant. Then he said someone would be in to "present" the treatment plan and bill. Then the tech comes back in after a while and looks at me and my wife and says, "ok, who will I be *presenting* the bill to?" You would be absolutely correct if by now you are assuming they were fully intending to rip us off. For 6mo of flea medication (Simparica Trio), they charged $300. (Later on, I researched online and it should've probably been $200-$225). They also had several other medications for which they no doubt also completely overcharged us. Total bill was $1200 (!!). Front desk staff (seemed like doctor's wife or family member) was very curt in taking our payment as we left. Now, the Simparica Trio did take care of his fleas, and pretty quickly. However, they wanted us to come back for a follow-up appointment. When we arrived for that they charged us *another exam fee* and wanted us to pay another $500 for additional medications to continue to treat his skin conditions. We paid the exam fee and left. Today we took the dog to another vet for his worsening skin issues. This vet has a much bigger and nicer waiting room, did not make us wait an inordinate amount of time, had a friendlier staff, and was overall a much better experience. For medications (that I think will work this time!) and the entire visit, the bill was $365. Including a no-cost followup visit in a few weeks. It made me think back to the experience with Alta, and realize what an incredible ripoff it was all the way around.
