I used Clovis Glass for my windows about 5 years ago and it was a wonderful experience... I don't know why doors are so difficult but I gave them a sizable deposit about a month and a half ago and they just scheduled my install for 7/22... started the process back at the beginning of May. Communication has been awful all around and a lot of passing the buck and excuses... I don't think i'd have minded as much if I'd known it was going to be a long process, but they acted like it was no big deal... just wanted the sale and to lock me in with a deposit... doubtful I'll use this group for anything in the future. read more

I was given a mini fridge for free from a friend, the fridge came with no shelves so I called clovis glass to to see how much some tempered glass would cost. Over the phone, I ordered 2 pieces of glass, and when I went to pick it up, I was only given 1. So the lady I spoke to made a mistake on her end. They tell me they will call me when my glass is in, but the 2 times my pieces of glass were ready I had to call myself to see. I also paid for the tempered glass in advance so it does seem unprofessional to not call the customer to pick up the already paid for item. read more

The costumer service was great! We had 2 sliding door glass replacements. Roberta helped me choose what best fit our glass needs and our budget she was very helpful. The installer who came Daniel was very nice and professional, we had an issue once the glass was installed in one panel no fault of our own or theirs but he was quick to point it out and said he would put in a whole new glass. I see the manager responded to me and questioned my review. I would like him to review qoute no: 16629. I was attempting to order milgard windows and a sliding glass door. Its ok clovis glass. You wasted my time and we can't go back in the past. I've already decided to go with jz construction. I suggest everyone else to give jz construction a try. They are knowledgeable and on top of it. Clovis glass is an example of biting off more than they can chew. We ordered window and door replacements for our entire house, though we did three different orders over the course of the year. Our salesman was Doug and he was efficient and helpful each time, though there was never any follow up and perhaps that is just company policy. We did go to the showroom once to see door styles and I would not recommend that as there was simply no one available despite a very slow day. Better to call someone out and Doug is a good choice. There were long delays in getting the product but that is not a reflection on Clovis Glass as our home projects over the last year have shown us that everything from patios to hot tubs to appliances to windows have huge delays right now. The windows are very nice and changed the entire appearance of the home, especially the large, tinted, picture windows. The products and prices were similar to two other places we called but Clovis was more responsive to getting someone out to us and the experiences with them were good. The highlight was definitely the gentleman who came out to measure each time (sorry didn't get his name) who was really friendly and helpful and offered suggestions about our slider that made a big difference. Biggest thanks to Juan and Erik who installed our last set of windows and were excellent in every way - friendly, professional, detailed, patient. Juan worked for an extended period of time to get the screen door just right when he easily could have let "good enough" work and been gone. I appreciated their efforts! The only caution I have is that, there is not really any follow up and once the windows are in, they will not help with anything but will just refer you to the warranty. Keep in mind, this includes even damage on items being installed and you wont know something is damaged until it is already installed and you check it out. Our slider had some scuff marks (noted at time of install) that could probably have been touched up easily with a spec of vinyl paint but they won't even consider that, it's an instant "go through warranty". That might be fine normally but with replacement times running over two months, they really should consider customer satisfaction and just getting the job finalized on the smaller things. We just kept it as is because we didn't want to deal with warranty issues again. We had previously had to warranty a large window that was installed with a scratch on it. It was caught after install on inspection and turned in for warranty, which was long, difficult and had a cancellation to make it longer and Clovis Glass is not a big help with that. So I recommend the product, price, salesman and high recommendation for install and measuring crew. Just be aware that once they install something, the follow up will not be there and warranty issues can be difficult so maybe check the windows completely in the truck and refuse if you can find the damage first. read more

Heed all the 1 star ratings On Friday, July 26, 2019, I had Clovis Glass install a Pet Door in our Patio Door. Prior to the installation I was informed that I would be able to keep the original Patio Glass door by 2 employees (one I found out no longer works there). Later in the day I remembered my glass was gone and attempted to call Clovis Glass. Unfortunately it was Friday and approximately 1740 hours and they were closed. On Monday, July 29, 2019, at approximately 0900 hours, I called Clovis Glass and spoke to a young lady named Christina to inform her of the situation and was told that the Manger of the area (Ron Silva) was not in and that the installation guys (Daniel and Nick) were out of the office and was told I would get a return call from one of them later that day. Well the day had come and gone and I did not hear from anyone from Clovis Glass. Thinking they might be busy and also not to be a pest I waited another business day and received the same results, nothing. On Thursday, August 1, 2019, at approximately 1100 hours, I called Clovis Glass and again spoke to Christina, who remembered the conversation. Unfortunately the answer I got was not what I wanted and she informed me they had disposed of my patio door. I informed her that they weren't suppose to do that and that I was suppose to have kept and stored it. Now I know what you may be thinking, "It's just glass" like the manager Ron Silva told me, right? Well, have you ever priced what it would cost to replace a Milgard double pain patio glass window? And I'm just talking about the GLASS and not the frame? Well Mr. Ron Silva informed me that it would cost around $900.00, just for the GLASS! So I asked how are we going to resolve this issue. Mr. Ron Silva said, "I'll reimburse you $75." Clovis Glass threw away my $900 patio glass door and offered to pay me $75. Now I have to ask, is that good business? Wait a minute... Hold on... I forgot to inform you that we paid $1463.55 to have Clovis Glass install this patio/pet door. (We love our pets, what can I say). Then they throw away our $900 patio glass door?! That $2363.55 worth of GLASS and Clovis Glass offers to pay $75.... My counter offer was simple. Reimburse us on the labor, $400.00. That's all. WE don't want YOUR replacement patio glass door. Clovis Glass vs. Milgard, is like comparing a Diamond vs a Cubic Zirconia, Cadillac vs Chevrolet, Harley Davidson vs Honda, Apples vs Oranges. Mr. Hoover, the owner of Clovis Glass, was nice enough to call me. We exchange some words, but to shorten the story he offered to replace the patio glass door with a new one that would cost him approximately $100 to build. Mr Hoover said, "It's new. The old one was all scratched up anyway. And that's what the judge would offer you." Mr. Hoover. With all do respect, this is the first house we bought. Matter off fact, we OWN. To you and that unmannered, impolite manager, Ron Silva, it was just glass. To us, that was glass with 25 years worth of memories that we could have stored somewhere and used should something happen to this door. Clovis Glass I simply say, "One man's trash is another man's treasure". I wished I would have Yelped your business first. I would have went somewhere else as you have more 1 stars then 5. Nope. I received two quotes from a gentleman that looked about as enthusiastic as a shoe. He rushed through my questions (I had three, chill cowboy), and didn't spend more than 5 minutes in my home, including the pitch, questions, and measurements. When he sent the quotes the slider opened to the open patio and not the stoop, other window openings were the wrong orientation, some should have opened while others shouldn't. I replied to the email asking about sound and tint and I received a reply a day later saying that he would get back to me. That was in July. That's been one heck of a long day. read more

Well first off I must say, a phone call was my initial contact w/ someone from the business. Needless to say, it was for a estimate for a table top piece to accent our new table. The phone call was a success, was able to give an estimate based upon my measurements over the phone, Great! So we moved forward and proceeded, my fiancée was able to get to their location before they closed on Saturday, 4PM. Paid for their services to get moving on the glass, awesome said top would be completed by Thursday that following week and would be called once completed! Oh boy nice!. So here comes Thursday, no call, ok, I will call Friday, I got busy. So I figured since no phone call and no messages left for either cell phone numbers provided , it would be safe to go and pick up? Well of course arrived on Saturday the weekend after the table\e top was suppose to be completed and would you guess it, NOT DONE. Well the lady who encountered my visit that Saturday, wearing a headset as if they are receiving multiple calls. Anyways I give the information needed as requested and she goes back to check, the "hmm" sound as she looked into the screen of her computer gave me the immediate impression the table was not ready. So after 8 minutes of standing in concern, the lady arrives and mentions the troubles they the "Glass Shop" has been having with this particular machine. Then goes in to this explanation of other jobs also not being completed on time or the delay, as if that's going to explain anything to me, you explained to me when my table top was going to be ready and you "glass company failed". So now I anticipated this to occur however wanted to give the benefit of he doubt to the glass company, only because yes I do understand machines malfunction. So the lady goes into the normal, "customer service normal apology" and then states she would call me on Monday to follow up and ensure a more defiante time when the table top would be done. Remind you Monday is Labor Day. So I question do you have my number to call she responds back yes, now their are 2 numbers on the account, so remind you and ask which number to call. I respond back no, my number is the other number on file, please contact me, gave her the number on file. So as you guessed it no phone call , so I called yet again, got to a Rachel in which she checked and said again it as not done and she would call me back once again when completed. Now mind you I called at around 2:30 and literally 30 minutes later I get a phone call stating the table top is ready, now wait a minute if I just called you and you did not know that my table top was going to be ready then? I was confused myself. However when you promise or yet, give the consumer a promised/proposed time a product is going to be completed after you have obtained their money and don't have the audacity to contact us or the consumer of a potential delay or complication then I loose your creditability. I had to call on numerous occasions and be inconvenienced to travel to pick up my completed table top, never once offered a simple apology or accommodate me in dropping off my table top, utter unsatisfactory and poor customer service, I will not offer nor recommend this glass company to anyone, so unfortunate and so unprofessional and extreme lack of customer service. Yelpers you know by my reviews how much Iam into promoting local and customer service , but this is so unfortunate a simple phone call is all that we ask as consumers, just like your time "business owners" our time as customers is also important.. read more

June 19 For some weird reason one of the windows in my home office cracked last month. It's a dual-pane window, and the crack is on the inside pane. I have no idea what caused it; the partner's best guess is that it's a stress crack. So I called Clovis Glass last Friday and have them come out and give me an estimate on having this pane replaced. So far, so good. Their installer showed up smack on time and did the estimate. When I agreed to it, he phoned in the approval and gave me a date and time for the installation. Minus one star because they charge $60 for an estimate, regardless of if they end up doing the work or not. If they do do the work, the $60 is deducted from the cost of the final job. But still, I found this just a tad annoying. It's not as if too many consumers are going to spend $60 just for an estimate and then not follow through on having the work done. They're supposed to be back in my home on the 26th to install the new pane. I'll post back afterwards with how well that goes. June 26 All right, they lose another star. They arrived this afternoon on time and with the window pane I ordered, but it has an obvious scratch in the lower right-hand quadrant. The sucker's about three inches long. True, you have to stand close to the window to see it, but for $400 I want to be looking out of a perfect sheet of glass. I called them, however, and they're ordering a new pane and will call me when it arrives to schedule another installation. Let's hope they check the new pane before it leaves their warehouse. Update: They've been docked two stars because it's the middle of September and I'm still waiting for my replacement. I won't be using them again. read more

These guys really made me grouchy... no, they pissed me off. I called them to ask for their expert opinion because I had a custom entertainment center built in to my house and I needed some glass. I told him I wanted to put all the components behind the glass and the guy told me there were three options I could get. I chose the darkest option. I paid them and they told me to come pick it up on Monday. I came back on Monday and they said it was ready but they didn't have it delivered... huh?!? So I left and came back the next day. As I was waiting, the owner (I am assuming it was the owner) came in with her little dog and the dog ran if front of me and just barked at me non-stop. I thought i was in bizzaro world or something. They brought out the glass and took it home. It fit great but my components would only work if I used them like two feet in front of the glass... I was so pissed. I ended up having to get one of the $150 harmony remotes to work my components behind the glass because I relied on the Clovis Glass Company's expert advice. lame read more

I agree with the other reviewer- I've been trying to get a quote for multiple sets of French doors from them for a month now. Mike came out. Took measurements. I've called twice since then (no calls from them) and I get excuses that "our computers crashed" and "it takes 3h to reboot them". I mean real head scratcher- I want to spend money- a lot of money- but they don't seem to want my business. Head scratcher. Needing replacement windows for an older home. I had some luck with Clovis Glass in the past but this time I can't get anyone to provide me a quote. First spoke with someone 3.5 weeks ago, I then followed up with the specs via email, and after several days went by I tried to track it down. I finally got in touch with my contact, he remembered me, said he would whip it up real quick, but then nothing. I've tried to to track him down but he doesn't return messages. I get that it's the holidays but 4 weeks for a basic estimate? I've never worked so hard to give someone money. Must not be enough competition in the valley. read more

This particular time I wanted floor to ceiling glass doors in a room. I waited and waited after they came out I called 4 times two of which I left messages with No reply. Finally a guy calls me back and says yea we can't do the job because they can't be responsible for putting it together and not having the side rails on? After I heard that I said we don't need side rails it butts to wall both sides it can't go anywhere? Back and forth then I said well how much for the mirror doors? Then he says well it's going to take Months? I called to speak with owner got manager who then we went back and forth again I said let me speak to the owner ? Never heard back from them. These people act like They are doing You a Favor and act like they Don't need Your Business. I have used Clovis Glass for 3 exterior fiberglass doors over the past few years and was pleased with their service. I needed another exterior door for a water heater closet door. I called last week and spoke to a woman who assured me she would have a salesman contact me for more information...no call back. I am trying to honor small business during this pandemic but when you have such poor employees representing your business, it's a bad situation...I have read other reviews about no call backs. I'm not sure if this problem is with the person who is taking the call or if the message is relayed to a salesman and the fault lies there. Either way, if I am the owner of this business, I would be embarrassed that my company was being represented in this way. We will never purchase a sliding screen door through Clovis Glass again. We ordered a sliding screen door and when we installed the screen door, the handle was 6 inches higher on the screen door than the handle on our sliding glass door. We contacted Clovis Glass and they informed us the handle is installed in the middle of the frame, it's standard procedure. We were not told this when we placed the order. If we had, we would have looked at other options. Poor customer service. They wanted the sale (we ordered and purchased other items as well), including payment in full, but didn't give details on the finished product of the screen door. Also, 2 days after we picked up the screen door, we received a phone call from Clovis Glass that our order is ready for pick up. I questioned the caller and asked if we received the correct order? I explained about the placement of the handle on our screen door. She placed me on hold to check and when she returned to the call, she repeated the same - it's standard procedure the handle is installed in the middle of the frame. Horrible customer service. This is without a doubt the most unprofessional company out there do not deal with them. At this point i am 5 months in and still dont have my window project complete their installers are inept cant put in a window without scratching it, then they turn around and blame my wife why is she installing the window if so why am i paying them. The original glass i ordered wasnt available for 2 of my windows due to size they swapped me to a different style but without notifying me of this at all. only after i questioned manager on wrong window was i told of this. Wear masks with covid 19 nope try again i have repeatedly told them due to my wifes health conditions putting her at high risk they would need to wear masks 4 trips out and they still wont put on a mask i try calling manager and he insinuates that this is my fault why what your installers cant read i need to hold their hand all they way through well apparantly so on initial install they pulled wrong window out then tried to hide it from my wife. this company is horrible bordering on criminal do not give them your money you will be sorry. read more

My windows looks AMAZING! The glass is perfect! I had Daniel and John do my install and they were knowledgeable, professional, polite and very nice/trustworthy! These 2 guys know what they are doing! We set up an appointment for today and Daniel arrived on time and replaced the windows expertly and efficiently. So easy to do business with a well run company with competent employees. We bought our sliding door from Clovis Glass, they came out and measured gave us a quote. We were ready to use them but they said it was a 7 to 8 week wait on installation. We needed the door now. Because Frank the sales person was very accommodating we decided to still buy the door from them and have someone else install it. When it finally arrived they gave us half of the wrong door. They came out and fixed it. Then I notice that we had lost an inch on the top. Frank again was awesome, tried to help. We were ready to replace some windows, because of loyalty to Frank and because we like supporting local businesses we were going with Clovis Glass. Frank sent Ernie for final measurements, Ernie arrived two hours later than what we were told and with an arrogant, aggressive and defensive attitude. He spoke to my husband, who is disabled like he was dumb. He even tried to refuse fixing the screen door, until my husband reminded him that it was under warranty. By the time he came down I was furious. Furious for how he was treating my husband and for flat out lying that Clovis Glass had NOT measured the door. I told him they had and he responded with, well I didn't. How did we get a quote? Stay away from Clovis Glass, it's not worth the headache, and your time. read more
