Had these guys out to assess and level a pier and beam house. After a few months there was some…read moresettling in a portion of the house. I called them back out to address the issue and was given a day and time for a follow up inspection. The day of scheduled follow up (9.17.25) inspection no one arrived nor did I get a call saying they would not be coming. I waited a short period of time for them to contact me (about 2 or 3 weeks) which they never did. I called them to quiz as to what had happened and then They sent out a guy to check the issue and was told they would be back in contact to schedule the work. I've yet to see or hear from them. I call them back and was told they were sorry and they were really busy with current work and my adjustment would be put on a schedule for follow-up adjustment and or repair. Today is December the 23rd and I've yet to see or hear from Childers Brothers. If I were looking for this type of work to be completed on a property I would highly recommend one get multiple quotes and read all reviews for each company. I'm not going to say they do bad work but service after the sale is lacking, communication is horrible yet they require 1/2 down and the rest upon completion. Maybe they should have to wait for the final payment once the warranty has expired. surely then they would be more prone to handle the follow up needs in a more pressing manner.

My husband's comment after he left was, "I thought he was going to pull a vacuum cleaner out of his box and start vacuuming our floors!" (a reference to door to door vacuum sales if you didn't catch it.) After wasting almost 2 hours of our time he suggested that we put in 9 of their pier things and asked, "so what can we do to get started on this today?" before even giving us the price estimate! Of course we said we needed to know the estimate first, and then he proceeded to tell us that it would be $22,000!!! Ummm, yeah no thanks. After 2 other companies have come out they are saying there is very little movement in our foundation (mostly settling) and are estimating $3500 or less. All this company wants to do is steal your money!

After the initial work, I had to request follow‑up foundation adjustments on two separate occasions. Each time, it took 10+ phone calls and 5+ cancellations or rescheduled appointments before anyone actually showed up. Even then, they never arrived on time. After the second visit, I expressed my frustration to management about the repeated cancellations and lack of communication. Shortly after escalating the issue, I was informed that my warranty had been voided due to my house having "improper drainage," despite the fact that I had installed gutters and re‑leveled my backyard the month prior. This company is a classic example of being attentive and responsive until they receive payment - after that, their sense of urgency and respect for the customer disappears.
