I used to love this hospital but they've gotten so unprofessional and rude. I had a very unpleasant and uncomfortable stay at the hospital. I originally went in for stomach pains and they informed me that they had to remove my gallbladder. They made me feel uncomfortable and unimportant. They did not do their jobs right. They talked back to you and said stuff under their breath or behind my back and they did not take me seriously at all . Until I went to the hospital for the third time in a row. And it wasn't just one person who was rude and mean it was a lot of people who acted that way. I don't understand why people think it's ok to treat people so poorly. In fact the very last dr I saw asked me how my pain was before I knew I had to have surgery and I explained to her that this pain was a 15/10 and she said I doubt that and laughed at me . It wasn't until then I said EXCUSE ME UHM YEA I AM IN THIS AMOUNT OF PAIN. One nurse ignored me when I asked her 2 times if I could mix pain medications with my anxiety meds. And she kept saying oh you gotta ask the dr . And my response was no I'm just trying to be knowledgeable about my medication dosage because at this time I was in excruciating pain and I wanted anxiety meds for all the stress they were putting me under. I was all uhm no lady ur a nurse you should know about a medication question.. They had me sit hunched over in a chair for 24 + hours with my gallbladder pain. They didn't care about me . They just had to be responsible for me not dying. Oh ya and when I asked a 2 people how many gallstones I had they both yelled at me and said it doesn't matter we just need to take them out. I'm so angry and appalled by their treatment for people. The only 3 people who truly did their jobs right were the assistant nurses to the general surgeon. Only 3 people were nice to me out of the whole hospital I'm so sad to call this place a hospital! Never again am I going to be going to Clovis Community Hospital. They are not nice people. God is watching! Oh ya and the first time I got tested the very very first day at the hospital it wassss reported as me being positive for being pregnant and then they turned around and did the tests again and then said oh ya sorry whoops your not pregnant! Before I knew I had surgery I was so excited about this new found information because I have PCOS and it's a very odd hormonal disease to have ! My update is much worse. They knew my dad was dying, didn't tell us ,but continued to run test that was above his personal insurance rates. Way to get more money after they squeezed his insurance with over priced tests. Buyer beware. If you must use them make sure it's to have you ear canal cleaned or maybe your toenails clipped. Clovis community is disgustingly filthy! They did nothing but leave people in chairs for hours in the emergency room. The tents outside are toxic and the ER floors are covered in trash, bloody stuff and caked in dirt. They provided me me subpar service trying to give me meds I am prohibited from taking because of my health. One man fell out of his chair and there was NO ONE TO HELP HIM UP. Had two procedures scheduled yesterday and was was done with both in just over two hours. Everyone who helped me was really nice. At Clovis Community they make you feel comfortable and at ease. Both technicians who helped me explained what the procedures entailed, what they were doing and how we were progressing. The open parking lot out in front of the outpatient and Radin center building stays full, but there's always plenty of room in the parking garage. read more

On 6/21/21 I went in for a CT scan. Didn't know what to expect. Now a few previous review mention how unsanitary it is/was. I didn't find that to be the case, unless, they're referring to the construction work outside by the main entrance. Then, yes, maybe it's dirty, but, that's outside, not inside the hospital. Once I found my way into the hospital, I had my temperature taken, because Covid-19, and then went to the front desk to check in. The nursing staff was great! The check in staff was awesome. The whole process was explained to me and what to expect. The nurse who did my labs, basically, a finger prick, and placed the needle in for my IV, Nurse Heather, was kind, professional, and a wonderful sense of humor. It was an interesting experience to be sure. Thank you for relieving my stress about going to the hospital, even for just a test. read more

ER: 1 star (as an outside family member) Rheumatology: 2.5 stars (customer service) 4.5 stars (doctor/nurse) Triage: 3 stars (LONG waits) Labor & Delivery: 10 stars for the nurses!! 1 star for the doctor Postpartum care: 5 stars! This review is for the ER. My husband was seen for high blood sugar due to his diabetes. They did not give him anything to eat for almost 48 hours and wouldn't give him the food I brought because it wasn't approved by the doctor. Which is fine, but he still needs to eat! I was not able to see him because of COVID regulations until he was moved to his own room. Which they never did. I was given a phone number to call for updates about his condition but whoever it was that picked up wasn't of much help and seemed as clueless as me about why he wasn't being moved to a room and what treatment he was even receiving. So yea, very stressful on the outside for family members. Just seemed like a disorganized mess. But I suppose every ER is probably like this. This review is for the Rhuemetology department. My doctor is actually very responsive and nice, requests bloodwork when appropriate. The wait sucks. I listened to the front desk argue about their days off during my 30 minute wait to be called back. Another 40 minutes waiting in the room. How do they get so behind?? This review is for Triage. The wait sucks as well. I had trouble with frequent contractions so I visited Triage probably five different times. Once I was there for five hours. I had various tests done and results come back, it was the doctor's input that took forever. And for their ok to finally release me. Everything just takes forever so don't forget to pack food, a phone charger, and your sanity. This review is for the Labor and delivery department. Better! I'd give the nurses ten stars. I came in at 9cm and I freaked out a little and the nurse was able to calm me down. She offered to sing for me while we waited for the doctor. She asked my consent before touching me. She directed me clearly and calming during all the chaos. But alas the actual doctor sucked. She seemed grumpy and like she didn't want to be there. She cut my vagina me without telling me!!!! I understand it might have been necessary but a heads up would have been nice! She never ended up telling me, my husband is the one that let me know. The doctor played it off as a second degree tear. It's offensive and degrading. I also requested in past appointments that no one else be in the room. But my OB apparently didn't pass on that info because in the middle of pushing I noticed four extra people appeared in the room to watch. Ugh. I was a little occupied in labor to stand up for myself so it is a detail I will let slide. Postpartum care was nice. The nurses were attentive. One of them seemed a little judgy, but she was professional. Meals were yummy! And affordable! Every was really considerate and made nice conversation. It was honestly such a great time and the best part of my birth experience. I was able to call and request help from a lactation consultant which was really nice! They automatically give you an itemized bill so you don't have to call and ask for it. Would recommend for birth at least. read more

The nurses are really nice, helpful, caring and efficient but something here is wrong, My 80 year old mother in law had knee replacement surgery. She stayed in the recovery area for 3 days after surgery because they had no rooms available? Her meals arrive cold and pretty disgusting. She had stopped eating. It takes 2 people to get her to the bathroom. Apparently they don't have two people to help her up, So now she's stopped eating because it's embarrassing to poop in your bed, I don't blame her!!! She Seemed so depressed and then we figured out they had stopped giving her the antidepressant she's been taking for years!!! Seriously? I'm giving a 3 for generosity to certain areas and individuals, whom don't deserve 0-1. Arrived in the ER with my 23 yo daughter. Like many other ERs, there are people who don't need to be there. My daughter was in such bad shape, that she laid on the ground...(apparently they don't have beds). She still was being required to go back out to the waiting room, with a life threatening problem. Her emergency surgery went well, as far as I know. But the med surge nurses had zero continuous practice. I never felt that I could go home to sleep and that anyone would care for her...yes, there were a few, but it was so hit and miss that I literally debated calling 911 from my daughter's hospital room one night. This should not be. I could go into detail, and there definitely was one specific nurse, but she never put her name on the board, and never tried to help. When we pushed the button, (and we're not nurse button pushers), she came in 30 minutes. My husband and I had to learn how to unhook and reconnect all the support mechanisms attached to her, and then teach the nurses, whom were obviously there just for the paycheck, how to disconnect and reconnect. (Side note, if you don't care about people's lives, don't be a nurse, no matter how smart you think you are.). Another side note is that the cafeteria is really good. Place is so disorganized, I've watched people come In after me and go back before me. Then I watch an ENTIRE FAMILY come in because one person in that family was sick. Been sitting here for the last 6 hours waiting for lab results from a urine test that I took at 10am...... it's now 4pm. UPDATE! It's now 5pm...... still waiting. UPDATE! 7pm and now I'm home. Clovis Community Hospital had my original review removed. Apparently the truth hurts. My daughter went to the ER in Oct with yellow pus draining from her C section incision. She was left in the ER hallway with no medical care for 36 hours. She had to pump her breast milk in the hallway or the filthy restroom. The nurses had zero compassion. It is now almost three months later and her abscess still hasn't completely healed. The inept doctors never even cultured the wound. That's the first thing that should have been done. One has to wonder how sterile the OB surgery is? I would drive to the Bay Area for medical care before I would go to this incompetent place. I'm sure Clovis Community will have this review removed also but neither I nor my daughter are done with letting them get away with blatant Updated to add: Due to the total incompetence of this facility, my daughter is now infertile and can't have another baby. read more

I just spent 3 days at Clovis Community Medical, in the ER. my room was YH 14. Meaning I was in the hall wall next to ER14. At first I was appalled, I was not going to spend 3 days here. My experience was totally different. I had a great stay. Even sleeping was okay. They turned down the lights and everybody was quiet. The nurses were happy to charge my iPhone, iPad and airbuds. The hallway gave a different perspective, it allowed you entertainment as people worked to accommodate others. When working with a patient, sometimes they would bloke the aisle, but everyone moved to help the other. The nurses and support staff was amazing working under less than perfect conditions. Michael finally got my IV in after others tried and failed. Jagmeet G and Brenda seemed to be on roller skates. They moved so fast to help someone. But each day I had excellent care. I had surgery at Clovis Community on Wednesday as an out patient. I have had other surgeries but this was an amazing experience. Everyone there was professional but friendly. They all made sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. From start to finish I have no complaints. Yesterday after the surgery, I had 2 calls asking how I was feeling. One in the morning and one in the late afternoon. Such wonderful consideration. I highly recommend this hospital. read more

Every aspect, from check-in, nursing assistants, nurses, & doctors, all had wonderful people skills which put ease to my somewhat anxiety. GOD BLESS the good people that work here. My son went to his doctor twice and to an urgent care once and they would send him home and say he's fine! But his mother knows him best and she disagreed so she didn't stop!!! She took him to Clovis community and they didn't and wouldn't stop until they figured out he had Pneumonia. 36 hours in the ER sitting in a chair waiting for a bed. Very poor care. Vitals were taken when they remembered.. Meds were given when begged for. The ER night staff was rude and threatening to people who had been there longer then 30 hours and chose the floor to lay down. Although our daughter was admitted to the hospital, she did not get a bed until 36 hours of sitting, and then the bed was in the ER due to over crowding. information on her illness was minimal. She spent 5 days in the ER and still needs care. Exit instructions were horrible. Had to call back several times to get the medication sent to the pharmacy. First time here since we moved to the Valleys I took my son to the ER at 3 am it was pretty empty we were seen right away the Doctor was amazing great personality and caring way better than ST. Angie's the religious crappy hospital. St Agnes did nothing and were there 8 hrs. Except get harassment from the low ego security Michelle and John. Emergency room is all about $$$ no care or maybe they are overwhelmed or something I don't know why no beds yet they charge for beds patients are sitting in waiting room and not puts in beds. The ER Staff should do a lot less partying at their work stations while patients are waiting to be seen. Wife's test results had all come back by 0300 and by 0500 the staff seemed way more concerned about what to watch on Disney+ than to look at their computers and notice that my wife was ready to be discharged. These people's jobs might be stressful but so is spending 6 hours in an ER instead of possibly more like 4. Treat patients with respect, dignity and keep them informed about what's happening with their care should be top priority. Parking is not terrible but if you are not in a rush, use valet during normal hours. It is free. Otherwise, it is quite a trek for the patient to or from the parking lot or garage. I have gone here many times for a variety of reasons and prefer early morning appointments to reduce risk of having to sit and wait even with an appointment. I think this cafeteria, while small, is better than any other hospital cafe that I have visited. Overall, even with the expansions this hospital has recently gone through, this place is still small. Taken by ambulance to Clovis community Christmas Eve unable to breathe. Oxygen raised to 6 liters, given a one hour breathing treatment. Next morning, still in ER, another breathing treatment steroids via IV. Some of my regular meds were given me and periodic breathing treatments although not the every 4 hours Dr prescribed. On fourth day stuck still on the torturous gurney I made them send me home. Thanks to Dr Kyaw Lwin who sent me home with the first meds I received I have progressed immensely first two days home. I wish the meds had been prescribed day one. The nurses are being greatly overworked. Need more Drs on the floor so symptoms such as my aren't misdiagnosed and patients sent home sooner. It should not have taken four days. Please don't go to ER unless extremely dire. There are no hospital rooms anywhere! Respiratory illnesses at it's highest. read more

I went late at night with a full on panic attack and having trouble breathing and was told at the emergency that I was "required" to wear a suffocating face mask. WHAT?????? ARE YOU PEOPLE INSANE????? I WAS HAVING TROUBLE BREATHING!! AND ANXIOUS!! The little "man" at the desk was very, very rude about it. I managed to get myself through the night and to a REAL DOCTOR the next day who would actually help me and NOT TRAUMATIZE ME FUTHER!!!!! Dr Ghram in the ER is a disgusting horrible person and an disgraceful Dr. He got attitude with us for no reason. He seemed demented. He laughed while he refused to help my sister and blew us off. He then disappeared FOR HOURS while everyone was messaging to see where he was to discuss her x-rays. SHE HAD BROKEN BONES AND WAS IN PAIN/CRYING. We waited hours longer than everyone else while no one could find him and he didnt reply to the messages from mutilple workers. He eventually came out the same smug way and lied to everyone saying he came to get us but we weren't there. Disgusting. Then he tried to not even talk about the x rays saying his phone died. When we pressed to see them, he magically had 53% phone battery to show us now. He's a disgraceful Dr, person and man. Absolutely disgusting and sad to see that our health and safety is in his possibly sadistic, cocky hands. Shame on him and his Mom who probably is also to blame. He should not be in this field. I've had surgery at CCMC before but I've never had to go through obtaining tests (EKG, blood work & X-ray) for a procedure being performed at a doctor's office. The experience of REGISTRATION IS AWEFUL!!! First, I can't make an appointment to perform the required tests so I'm considered a walk-in. Fair enough but WAITING FOR OVER AN HOUR to be entered into the system is absurd!! I was told by the nicest check-in lady that appointments have priority and as much as I didn't want to be frustrated with her as she was doing all she could to have me seen, well, I hope I wasn't too mean. Second, when I finally was registered and went to get my tests done everyone except the phlebotomist was either on break or at lunch. So ANOTHER TWO HOURS of waiting. The facility is great, staff is pretty awesome as well - everyone encountered was nice enough. However the process of REGISTRATION and Rotation of staff needs to be improved. read more

I was recently taken to Clovis Community ER with terrible pain. After numerous blood tests & a scan, I was diagnosed with appendicitis. I left before the scan was done to return home to try & rest. The MD advised me to be back early in the am when the surgeons would be there (the MD even called me to confirm the scan - appendicitis). I was treated with kindness, respect & was seen very quickly. Pre-surgical, technicians, nurses, surgeon, anesthesiologist & all the rest of the staff were all very knowledgeable, trained & kind & considerate. I've only lived here 3 years & my doctors are all still in Chicago. The only other trip to a hospital was to St Agnes (I had split my head open). I waited for 6 hours before I was seen & informed me after a scan of my head they wanted to do more .... I refused & left. I was treated with no caring or respect. I will NEVER return to St Agnes - they need to be schooled by Clovis Community!! read more

I had an outpatient surgery with Dr. Kollmorgen, an amazing hip preservationist surgeon on July 6th. I wanted to recognize the nurse who took me back to the pre op area around 9am got my IV started, did all my paperwork and checked on me after surgery (now 7:30pm and she had been there since at least 9am! Yet still took the time to check on me after being on the clock for that long!!!) when I was crying in pain, even took it upon herself to call around and see if there was anything she could do to help ease my pain whether it was approval for more meds and also to let my surgeon know how I was doing. She really took her time with me, helped calm my anxiety, any questions I had she double checked with the surgeon or anesthesiologist, told me I was in good hands and even gave me a recommendation for a pizza place nearby since I traveled over 4 hours to have surgery with Dr. Kollmorgen (definitely worth it). Unfortunately I can't remember her name, I'm hoping the pics of her signature will help the hospital identify her because she definitely deserves to be recognized for her kindness, caring and how thorough she is. From what I can guess off the signatureher first name is close to Ksta or Ksia and used to live near Colton?/San Bernardino area-ish, CA. I'm sorry I forgot your name and the details are a little fuzzy but I cannot explain how much I appreciated you as my nurse especially since the no visitor rule with COVID. Came here on Wednesday morning 9/4/19 with bloody discharge and consistently painful contractions, found out I was 3 cm dilated & 80% effaced. They sent me home and told me I WASN'T in active labor. I literally got home and was still bleeding profusely, called my obgyn & he recommended I go to Community Regional ASAP. Needless to say, I was definitely in active labor and baby was so low it only took 3 hours for her to come out from the start of induction to pushing. I am seriously shocked at how I was even sent home? I delivered my first child at Clovis so I had higher expectations. But thank God for Community Regional taking me serious! Left me in a chair and pain for 12 hours. Gave me five different painkillers then discharge me with my blood pressure 242 / 114, stroke level. When I asked him if I should worry about it they told me only if I start getting slurred speech. These people are not efficient not effective and really don't care about their patients just get you out. Wish I could give them negative Stars. read more

One star for the triage staff checking you into the ER. I was in severe pain, HR 158 BP 198/144.. the nurse was using her little telephone to request I immediately go to the back and do an EKG. They told her to have me wait and she said "Yeeeah, no that's a bad decision." She took it upon herself to get me back there and conducted the EKG. She did not think I should be out in the waiting area, but she was told to have me check in with the triage nurse. He too was concerned and immediately requested I be placed into a room. I was so appreciative of them both for taking me seriously and realizing I was not ok. I get to the back, I'm having severe chest pain, I explained it all started after family dinner, I had fever, chills, sweats, my BP continued to be high, HR too.. they did blood work, chest x-Ray and CT scan of my lungs. Dr. Ford came in... Says he isn't sure what's causing my pain, but one blood test came back elevated and he was concerned I may have a blood clot in my lungs. Nothing, was found so he gave up on me and sent me home with pain meds. I was SO upset. I don't want pain meds. I wanted someone to take the time to figure out what was wrong with me. He told me everything looks good and to call my regular doctor. When the nurse came in to discharge me, he was only taking over for the original nurse because she was busy. He saw my BP and my HR still super high and was wondering why I was going home... he told me told hold on, but came back and just continued to discharge me. 2 days later, after seeing my regular doctor I was still in so much pain, so she told me to go to St. Agnes. The ER is ROUGH compared to Clovis.. yikes, but they honestly did everything they could think of to pinpoint what was wrong. 7 hours later, St. Agnes admitted me and my gallbladder was severely infected. I spent 4 days in the hospital, had surgery and now I feel 1000 times better. I'm so thankful for their efforts to help me. Shame on Dr. Ford for tossing pain pills at me and referring me to my family doctor. As clean and organized Clovis is when checking into the ER... I'll take my chances elsewhere. Oh! And while at St. Agnes, I saw two other individuals who were also at Clovis when I was there. I wasn't the only one desperate for answers... read more

The African American at the front desk didn't greet us. She didn't tell us what to do after we were done checking in. She was very rude.

I can't give this place a 0 so I'll give them a 1. I went in with an emergency, I had specific details including times & symptoms. I sat there no more than 30mins before I was discharged. I wasn't even given the time of day by Dr. Pratt, she is the most rude doctor I have ever met. She did not take the time to answer my question despite informing her that I had a few written down that I wanted to talk through. I requested an MRI to which she responded "come back if/when your face is drooping there is currently a 3 hour wait time". I continued to be dismissed by her & didn't catch her name, she walked off & ignored me when I asked for it. I had to ask the discharging nurse for the Drs. name, she wrote it down on my discharge papers. I let the hospital know that I wasn't feeling well & that my version was not back to baseline & they had me leave. I got notes in MyChart that did not match at all, I did not sign my discharge papers as the symptoms listed did not match, I asked both the Dr & nurse to update the forms & I would sign but they refused...could be due to CA audits? (I do have a time stamped video of all of this.) This is the worst place I have ever been to. While waiting to be discharged, the nurses made fun of patients in the lobby, particularly "the one that's always here & complains about everything...she's back" Sylvia I believe is the name they mentioned.
