We are new to the area, have scheduled doctors appointments with a family doctor and a GYN next…read moremonth to establish care. So being without a GP or GYN I came to this location because I feel like I have a kidney infection. The lack of any kind of attempt at human connection in this office is astounding. There's no one to help you with check-in, you're immediately pointed to a QR code where you fill out all of the paperwork yourself. Once the receptionist has that, she points you to a machine IN THE WAITING ROOM to get your vitals. Everything from weight and temperature to blood pressure and oxygen numbers is done by one of those machines you generally see at Walmart that you sit and put your arm in. WTF? That machine prints out a paper that you give to the receptionist. Because I was there thinking I have a kidney infection, she handed me a urine specimen cup, and told me to go into the bathroom, again, in the waiting room. A basket in the waiting room for the collection of your investments already had someone else's specimen in it. With their information on it. I'm sorry but HIPAA who? I then sat back down until called back to go to a room. A nurse didn't come in the room to talk to me or anything. I sent to room 3 to wait. I sat in my room for half an hour, listening to the full exam of a kid in the room next to me because the walls are really thin, before a doctor come in to tell me that because I drink a lot of water, my urine was clear... dilute ... and that it could be an ovarian cyst or even appendicitis, she doesn't know what's causing the pain in my lower back, that I should go to the emergency room to get imagining done and they could tell me what's causing the pain in my back around my kidneys and the malaise. So not only did I just pay my co-pay, but I was also charged an extra fee for urinalysis, something I've never had done before in any doctors office in my life. I walked out feeling like I just wasted my money and my time. If you've got something really simple like a sinus infection, I feel like this would be a good option. But for anything else? No... and now to the ER I go. UPDATE: I noticed the rebuttal the manager of the office posted below, and no, they are not telling the truth. There was a name, first and last name on that cup of urine that was sitting in the bathroom when I went in. And the person who went in after me had to look at my cup that had my first and last name on it as well as the previous cup. I'm not going to let them sit here and gaslight me

So I filled in the questionnaire online at 10:40 and walked in at 12:15pm…read more I spoke with the receptionist in the front and she checked me in, then told me to have a seat. I wait over an hour plus and still no one has called me, people who are arriving after me are getting their name called and being seen. So I go up and talk with a different receptionist and she asked if I've talked to anyone once I arrived. I answered "yes" and she proceeds to hand me papers to "check me in". I asked her if this was paper work that I've should have filled out upon arrival and she answers "yes". The quality of care and attention to detail is poor at this office, I should not nor anyone else for that matter be overlooked for care because a receptionist failed to follow procedure. If I had not gone up to ask any questions I would for sure still be waiting in the lobby. 05/22/26 1:45pm

In that sense, I wouldn't "recommend" anyone ever have a reason to come here. But if you do find yourself facing that battle, this is absolutely the best place to receive your care. The Community Cancer Institute provides truly exceptional service during life's most difficult moments. Every single department goes above and beyond. The teams in chemotherapy, radiation, oncology, surgical and the labs are consistently friendly, gentle, and deeply caring. They don't just treat the illness; they treat you like a human being with immense compassion. It is a beautiful, comforting facility, and while I wish the circumstances were different, I am incredibly grateful for the world-class care and support they provide.

First, I want to make it clear that Dr. Ge is an excellent oncologist. I appreciate her knowledge, care, and the medical attention she provides. My concerns are not about Dr. Ge or the quality of her medical care. Unfortunately, my experiences with Jen at the front desk have been very different. I have found her communication to be rude, sarcastic, and at times condescending. As a cancer patient, this can be especially difficult. Going to an oncology office is already an emotionally challenging experience, and the last thing a patient should feel is that they are being treated as an inconvenience. I understand that front-office staff deal with many patients and difficult situations every day. However, compassion, patience, and professionalism are extremely important in a cancer-care setting. The way a patient is treated by the staff can have a significant impact on their overall experience. I also believe that the front-office staff represents the practice, and unfortunately, those interactions can affect how patients perceive the entire office--even when the physician providing their care is exceptional. It would be unfortunate for the reputation of an excellent oncologist like Dr. Ge to be negatively affected by the way patients are treated by someone at the front desk. I am sharing this feedback respectfully and sincerely hope it is received as an opportunity for improvement. Cancer patients are already carrying enough fear, uncertainty, and emotional stress. We deserve to be met with kindness, patience, and dignity from everyone we encounter in our cancer-care journey.

They were kind, courteous and walked me through every single step from what the process entails, to what it feels like, the duration of time it was expected to take, and more. At the end, I asked one question which to my surprise was thoroughly answered, complete with a little demonstration of what the images mean, how they see them and what is normal vs. not. The only parts I didn't like? I was called ahead of time to pre pay for my 'patient responsibility' portion (a hefty amount) and I thought it was a scam at first. I asked if I could pay when I got there and they said no because of efficiency when I arrived. (sounded suspicious, but it was completely accurate) the other was parking. It seems it might be difficult to find parking sometimes, but what's nice is they have someone driving around that can take you from your car to your destination and back!
