I went on their website to order some refill. The Fresno medical offices was out of stock of my child's medication. I notified his doctor right away. His staff contacted me via telephone to inform me that I was able to pick it up at an another Kaiser Medical location. They called the Clovis offices and they had the medication in stock for my child. I was able to pick it up the same day I appreciated the staff member of that called me and assisted me by locating a Kaiser pharmacy that has my child's medication in stock overall as highly please with the customer experience I received from the Kaiser staff. I have only been a member for 2 months and have had nothing but problems. The pharmacy cannot fill a prescription. It has been approved but they are out of stock and it's back ordered for a month. Meanwhile, I am without my meds and having severe withdrawal. I wouldn't recommend this place for a cockroach. They also won't pay my ophthalmologist even though he is a preferred provider. My PCP refuses to refill my hormone replacement therapy and told me to go to an OB/gyn. What for? I am 68 years old and I don't need a gynecological exam! Unbelievable. read more

I can only speak to the radiology dept and Dr Li. I struggle with chronic pain and come here for epidurals. By the time I'm here for a visit I'm in a bad mood and in a lot of pain since I'm due for another shot. The staff here is always kind and helpful during my visits. I've seen several pain management doctors and Dr. Li is the first doctor to get me some level of comfort. I feel like this dept at least provides some world class care and is the only place I come now for my pain management needs. read more

Yelp Review for Kaiser, Clovis and Fresno OB Department I had a truly awful experience with the OB department at Kaiser in Clovis and Fresno. Pregnancy is such a personal journey, and I felt completely let down by the care I received. From the start, I was bounced around from one provider to another. I was initially put on a panel for an OB, only to find out that they would be unavailable. I was then assigned to an OB I had never met before. The lack of continuity and familiarity made me feel very uncomfortable, especially during such an important time. I've seen 5 different practitioners! When I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, I didn't receive a call from a doctor in the OB department. Instead, I got a KP message from a physician I had never seen, notifying me about insulin prescriptions and scheduling additional weekly stress tests. When I tried to clarify what these tests were for, the person who called me simply told me to check my messages. This impersonal approach was frustrating and deeply unsatisfying--I expected a more compassionate and informative dialogue. Prior to having Kaiser I was used to talking things over with my doctor in person, discussing options and medications. Instead, I had to schedule an appointment just to have a basic conversation about my insulin and what it means for my pregnancy at 35 weeks. The whole experience feels more like fear-mongering than supportive care. The customer service is abysmal. I spent almost four hours today just trying to reach someone in the OB department to share my concerns only to feel further distressed because all I can have access to is member services. It's disheartening to pay a monthly premium for a service that feels so disconnected and indifferent to patient needs. I will be switching insurances soon, and I'm relieved. I will also be canceling any future appointments with the OB department. There's a clear lack of care and relationship-building, which is essential during such a critical time. Avoid this place if you value personalized and compassionate healthcare. read more

Christy,Hospital cordinater. Has no compasion or class. My mother was needing to find a facilty rather than go home due to a turn for the worst at 92. Christy tried to discharge and send her home, bedridden. We insisted on her finding a facility, she said no beds available in our area and will send Mom to La. She even had the nearv to threaten us with a $9000 bill to be paid and handed to us in front of the patient and Rn. The Rn commented he never saw anything like that happen while a patient was still under care. Kaiser reputation is worthless and we will encourage others to avoid Kaiser at all costs. read more

Came in today to get my first mammograph. Appointment was at 10:30 and I was walking out by 10:49. Very fast appointment. Thought it was funny that the tech was prepping me about how uncomfortable it may be and compared it to child birth to say it's no where nearly as bad. I guess cause people complained. I've heard stories from family but till you go through it, it's hard to say exactly what the situation is. They took a few x-rays of each breast. Had to put my breast on a machine and literally flatten it in place. Hurt just a little in feeling some pressure but it was fine. I get it tho, others may be more sensitive therefore it may hurt more. Then they gave me the cutest little reusable bag, an instant favorite, and a manicure kit. I like this cause we all need reusable bags. Suggestion: if you guys want to change it up, a reusable mask would also be so cute and useful. Glad it's all done and I can get back to work. read more

Today's appointment is a two so far. I made an appointment for 11:20 am with Dr. Toussaint Streat. It is 12:41pm and I am still here and the nurse just informed me that he has one patient ahead of me. In the two years we have been with Kaiser I have never waited this long for a doctor. After checking in at the front desk I waited 25 minutes to be taken back to an exam room. After 35 additional minutes I went looking for a nurse. Her first question? You're not a regular patient of Dr. Streat are you? I said no, why? Does he spied it up for his regulars? She chucked and said no, but he does take a long time with each patient. He has a lot of retired people and older people and he takes time taking with them, etc. I told her I respect that, of course. But, I made an 11:20 appointment thinking I would be out by 12:30 at the latest and now it's almost 1:00. It's Friday. I have things to do. The most important thing, picking up my granddaughter at 1:00pm. The helpful nurse walked into the Doctor's Office and told him I was waiting. He asked her if I was next. "No, you have one patient ahead of her." So I walked back to Exam room 12 and texted my son & told him I would be late with lunch & picking up my precious granddaughter. read more

A few weeks ago I had to come to Clovis Kaiser as I was not feeling well. Fresno offices would not be able to see me for a few days. So my PCP left anyways to Sacramento so I didn't have a new PCP and picked anyone that was available at the time I wanted. The wait time was not bad and the doctor was so sweet and young! I had no problems telling her my concerns and we discussed them. I am going to assign her as my new doctor as I felt very comfortable with her. I was gone within 45 minutes including prescriptions in tow. I am overly tremendously happy with the service here. Great location and the grounds are beautiful! She very knowledgeable and has a way of explaining things that make it easy to understand. I had the opportunity to visit the Clovis Kaiser facility for my father. He had some orders for labs and pharmacy. I checked in at the pharmacy and then I went to the laboratory to get a collection device and then back to the pharmacy to pickup his antibiotics. The whole experience was straight forward and efficient. I am not a member of the Kaiser community but, I must say they are well organized. Good job! read more

They are getting better but appointments are hard to get sometimes. I had an ER visit and im glad about the service and cost.

I've experienced three different physicians at this location and after being a Kaiser-member off and on in different locations for over 45 years these Dr's either are in desperate need of a vacation or need to retire or need to find another line of work. Missed diagnosis with two of the three has happened to me, mostly because (in my opinion) they don't want to take the time to listen to your problem, or they have pre determined Analysis which again have been wrong four out of five times. I'm editing to add that I have found proof that Kaiser and this doctor have violated California's licensing requirements. "In 2015, AB 809 revised the informed consent requirements relating to the delivery of health care via telehealth by permitting consent to be made verbally or in writing, and by deleting the requirement that the health care provider who obtains the consent be at the originating site where the patient is physically located. This bill requires the health care provider to document the consent." Kaiser Permanente will bill you even when you are no longer insured by them (over a year later, in fact). How many people are you attempting to financially abuse, Kaiser? One of their doctors called me on my cell phone late at night by surprise over a year after I moved out of state and cancelled my coverage with them, then he BILLED me for it as though I had scheduled the appointment myself and he claimed he "treated me" over the phone. What scam are you running here, Dr. Chohan and Kaiser Permanente? How many people has he done this to? And where are the lawsuits? I have never been a patient of Dr. Hardeep Chohan, yet he called me at 9:30PM on December 16, 2020 unsolicited on my personal cell phone. I'd never heard of him before, I never requested his services. He tried to tell me that I was on a "list" and he was just trying to be nice and check on me. If this sounds peculiar or suspicious, I agree. I have tried to ask for a new case manager on this but Kaiser gave assigned a case manager who is on vacation this week. I was covered by Kaiser Health Insurance in California from 2018-2019. I called them to cancel when I moved to Texas. I have lived in Texas since April 2019. I was not covered by Kaiser Health Insurance in 2020. In fact, I had no coverage in 2020. I have proof that I was not covered in 2020, with a formal 1095-A form that has been properly voided. On the night of December 16, 2020, I sat with my aunt and uncle watching late night TV. Around 9:30PM my phone rang. I picked it up, used to people calling me for work opportunities. I answer, "Hello?" A man responds, "Hi is this [my name]?" I am completely unsure who this man is. I say yes... thinking it's about a job. This is how that conversation went: Dr. Chohan: "Hi this is Dr. Chohan with Kaiser Health Insurance. I'm calling because it looks like you were once treated with us and had asthma." Me: *I am confused: "Uh...why are you calling me? I don't know you. Also, I live in Texas. I'm not insured by you. You are not my doctor. Wait. It's late at night. Excuse me, why are you calling me?" Dr. Chohan: "We are calling everyone in our system who has ever had asthma. You are at high risk for COVID and we are checking up on you. Are you OK? Me: "I'm confused. I don't understand why you'd call me at 9:30 at night... Wait, did you say Kaiser Health Insurance? I haven't been covered by you for over a year. This doesn't make sense." Dr. Chohan: *Audibly irritated.* He speaks quickly: "You know what, we were trying to make sure you are OK. We went down the list in our system and are making calls to everyone who has asthma. It sounds like you can breathe just fine. Also, it's 7:30 over here in California." His exact words. "It sounds like you can breathe just fine." At this point he has acknowledged that I am NOT in California. He's also acknowledged that this was not a scheduled appointment. I never once consented to the phone call as a "Doctor" - "Patient" relationship. I ANSWERED MY OWN PHONE + immediately questioned him. Yesterday, March 24, 2021, I received a phone call from Kaiser Health Insurance company claiming that I scheduled that appointment myself for "late hours" and that the doctor, "Treated [me] for asthma over the phone" and they want to bill me for $52.50. I have been trying to resolve this WILD claim by both Kaiser and Dr. Chohan that 1) I scheduled that appointment myself and that 2) He treated me. Kaiser representatives have grossly mismanaged my information, claiming I scheduled the appointment myself and that he "treated the patient for asthma over the phone." Can you imagine a working doctor who 1) calls patients who haven't been covered under his network for over a year 2) gets annoyed with them when they question it 3) BILLS THE PATIENT as though it was consensual treatment. I am unsure how it's possible that Dr. Hardeep Chohan (who by the way, I didn't know his name until YESTERDAY when Kaiser was attempting to collect a bill from me --- someone who is not even insured by them and who has not received treatment from since 2018-2019) is a licensed medical professional. He and Kaiser are attempting financial abuse and fraudulent behavior. read more

More than four years after my first review, I can say I am still very happy with Kaiser. Dr. Angela Kuo in Clovis is still my doctor and she's truly great. When I have any bad problems she will call to check on me. She still spends a very generous amount of time with her patients and if she's a little late to an appointment, I don't mind because I know she's spending valuable time with another patient and know she will do the same for me. I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes last year and she has worked close with me to bring it well under control. My NP Dermatologist Dana Determan retired but I have found an even better Dr. in Dr. Daniel Crogan. Very professional and knowledgeable. The only issues I've had is when my regular doctor is too booked to see me or on vacation, I had to see different doctors that in my opinion, don't measure up to Dr. Kuo. I wouldn't trade her for any doctor, anywhere. A great doctor and wonderful woman. read more

Beware when choosing this health insurance! You will get stuck going to ONLY their pharmacy and their customer service is TERRIBLE. My daughter was in & out of the urgent care in 15 mins. She was diagnosed with strep throat, burning up with a fever and the chills. However, we sat in the downstairs pharmacy for 1 hr & 45 mins. waiting for her simple amoxicillin. I went up to the desk over 10 times asking what was the hold up after seeing people come and go. And my daughter was miserable and visibly upset. Finally I got a gentleman to help me & he didn't just shove me away. He followed the steps all the way through to help us get my daughters meds. Oh. And when he mentioned to his supervisor that I was asking for a customer service line to complain, she shooed him away. SMH. But then came up to me over 30 mins later and apologized saying it was the first she had heard of my situation. No, it wasn't. I have since opted out of choosing Kaiser for my healthcare needs. If they left my poor sick daughter waiting in the waiting room like that, who else did they have waiting with much more contagious diagnoses. SMH. I don't write very many reviews, but this is one time I could not hold my tongue. read more

In January, I was finally given the option to switch to Kaiser, and called member services to find my first Dr. She referred me to Dr. Zhornitsky, and I couldn't be happier! He immediately ordered tests that you would for a new patient, but he listened to me about all the health issues I had been having! He came up with solutions and didn't give up! The most important thing was that I've been trying to get tested for sleep Apnea for 10 years...HE IMMEDIATELY REFERRED ME!!! I was tested within 2 months, and YES, I stopped breathing every 3 minutes! I now have an APAP machine and am sleeping twice as long as before, but I HAVE LESS THAN ONE APNEA EVENT PER HOUR! YAY DR. Z!!! I am greeted happily and promptly every time I am there. Dr. Z. answers every email promptly. He and his staff are kind, sensitive, and helpful. When you tell a parent that they are too aggressive of an advocate for their child as your child is sitting right there in the room, you kind of start to wonder how professional this person actually is. Would give zero stars if I could. It took them over a year to get me a CPAP machine. Now the issue is, I might have had a seizure or stroke while I was donating blood. The nurse there said that I had a seizure. So I go right to Kaiser and my doctor says it's no big deal, I fainted. So I was still having problems with brain issues a couple of days later. So I yet an appointment with a different doctor for a second opinion. This doctor says that I need a brain MRI. So I get their next appointment for that. Which is like two weeks away. So I wait for it. I show up and they say that I don't fit in the MRI machine and I have to go somewhere else. I was there a total of 5 minutes. So I've been referred to third party who does open MRI for them. So it's been a month since I had the seizure or stroke and still no open MRI. I had a senior case manager assigned to the case and she couldn't even get me the appointment. I finally got someone at Kaiser to book an open MRI for me. So they booked it for two weeks away. They asked can you go to San Jose for the MRI, I said no. So they said they booked me an appointment for the next weekend in Fresno. I said okay. I asked for an email confirmation about the appointment, and when they sent it, it was booked for San Jose not Fresno where I live. So I have no appointment really. I was still having blurry vision from this issue yesterday. I called for an appointment with my Dr and they refused to give me the appointment. This company only cares about your money. They will let you just die. read more

I thought the services that I've received the first time was great and fast. I was super pleased. The 2nd time around, not so great. I called in to make an appointment for an x Ray and was told I'll receive a call back within 24 hours. Didn't hear anything back after 2 days. I needed to get the x Ray done so I went ahead and paid $35 and did it all in one day with a referral through a different Dr's office and an X-ray clinic. The referral and x Ray cost me less than $50 in total. It's been one month and never heard back from Kaiser to get me set up for an appointment. I guess as long as they're getting a paycheck, they can careless about their patients or even bother to check if they must've skipped patients by accidents. read more

Kaiser Permanente have their own way to treat patients and I suggest getting insurance under them if you want to get diagnose properly. The services is great and you get all the information you need online or on person. When you're choosing a doctor, the process is easy and you get assigned with that particular doctor that same day. They have their own pharmacy inside all the Kaiser locations and their own doctors and specialists so you don't have to drive all over town to see a otolaryngologist or gastroenterologists. It's expensive but if you're working under a company that offers Kaiser Permanente as your primary health provider, get it. I paid $50.00 a month compare to $175.00 if I bought a plan individually. read more

I'm a new member to them and so far I have really enjoyed the pediatric department. The doctor takes his time with us also the wait is not bad either . But their pharmacy is the total opposite. If I could rate the pharmacy I would give the negative stars. Asian lady with bleached hair and shaved on the side is very rude & condescending she rushes you like you are a huge inconvenience to her even thou it's her job. But what your are really there to see are the doctors not crabby cashiers at the pharmacy so I guess there some bad and some good things to Kaiser. read more

I have been with The Kaiser Permanente for over 35 years. I had always given praise as my experiences throughout the years have ranged from great to excellent. This past week may have changed my thoughts a bit. I have had for the past 9 days a viral infection that has quite honestly kicked my butt and has had me bedridden for 9 days and counting. I was prescribed numerous medications but the cough medicine prescribed on the day of the first doctors visit was not helping. I called on the 9th day, I ask that Dr. Hug from the Clovis facility call me back as she was the last doctor I had seen for this infection . The following day I received a call from Monica who informed me that Dr. Hug would not be prescribing any cough medicines as I needed to wait for the medicine that had been previously prescribed a chance to actually take effect.As I previously mentioned, the cough medicine given to me on the first visit was ineffective as I had continued with it regardless. I had coughing episodes for minutes at a time where I often wondered if I might choke to death or lose my breath as I was unable to catch a break in between cough attacks. I explained to Monica to let Dr. Hug know that I was not happy with her decision and a poor review would be given her. Minutes later Monica called back stating cough syrup was awaiting my pickup at the pharmacy.Sheesh, never again will I be seen by this doctor. One would think I had asked for a million bucks and or narcotics. My attitude is that I'm not going to allow one bad experience shade all the good ones I've had with Kaiser. Best part of Kaiser for me so far has been my Women's Health NP, efficiency in getting flu shot and the outside referrals I have had (Chiropractic and Acupuncture). The website is not helpful in obtaining info on wellness or disease specific classes. Rarely get to talk to a person when I call. Have to leave a message and wait for return call. Have been a commercial member for 2 years and moving to Medicare soon. Definitely will not choose Kaiser for my Medicare plan. read more

This is absolutely the worst care provider I have ever experienced. My mother had a traumatic brain injury 20 plus years ago from a fall from a ladder. Although she experienced multiple unexplained falls since then Kaiser offered no explanation. 4 years ago she had a fall that broke her shoulder. Her explanation of the incident led me to believe she was having seizures. Kaiser denied this possibility. The falls increased in frequency and severity, yet Kaiser continued to deny the existence is seizures. In February she was found unresponsive in her chair at home & was taken to Kaiser ER where again the seizures were denied. That is until mother had a gran mal seizure in front of the doctor and my sister. She was medicated for seuzures, but no attempt was made to determine the cause. When her records were reviewed she was found to have Stage 3 kidney disease, yet my sister-her caregiver-had not been advised. The physician care she received over the years was below par as well. 5 different obgyn appointments... 5 different doctors... one of which they sent me too a doctor that want even with kaiser (and they were MUCH better) this is my first child and it's been such a terrible experience going through kaiser. There's no consistency and I never know what to expect. More than once, that alone has caused me to have to reschedule and replan.
