My whole Family comes to Baz and associate- currently we enjoy the Clovis office with Dr. David Pettigrew , M.D., Ph.D. He has a wealth of knowledge and a great relaxed sense of humor and is great with kids, teens, adults, and seniors. He is easy to talk to and listens to our concerns. We all have allergies and asthma and my eldest has suffered from a weakened immune system, has EOE, seasonal allergies, food allergies, suffers from hives, etc. and Dr. Pettigrew has helped us navigate those health issues coordinating with their pediatricians, GI specialist, rheumatologist, etc. The shot clinic is less busy than the fresno office off Fresno and Alluvial as i get 3 shots weekly, so the convince of location near home and work helps. Make sure to ask for an appointment with Pettigrew as he is the best in these offices currently. read more

I had nothing negative to say about this facility, until today! My son is having an issue with the medications they gave him and I can't speak to a doctor only leave a message with the rude front desk lady and the remedy to the situation is "use saline". I asked why I couldn't speak to a doctor and was told "because." and told I could leave another message. My son is currently experiencing excessive drainage and nosebleeds and they want him to add saline to the situation. I'm beginning to understand all the bad reviews! read more

My toddler son has severe allergies so we've had two appointments here @this Herndon and Fowler location and our first appointment was with a male provider, I can't remember his name but he was very understanding and advised us with great information. Then we had our second appointment, with a female provider Nurse Practitioner Toni And she was extremely rude. Had the worst bedside manner, and I shared that my son has autism and cannot express his feelings or what's hurting him and she was honestly the worst provider we have ever met with. She kept saying " you're still not hearing me! "When I just needed some supportive reasoning because I honestly did not understand her. And she said " are you expecting that he's never gonna talk ???" And I was completely blindsided. I responded with yes he will talk, and right now he's using sign language but he is only two years old. I told her that I felt my son has allergic reactions to a certain medication and she instructed me to give it to him anyway, and that I didn't know what I was talking about and I gave it to him last night and he woke up swollen. From here on out, I will be scheduling my appointments with a different provider at this location . read more

I got there at 12:28 to get my allergy shot. They say they will still give shots before 12;30. They did not. They said come back after thier lunch at 1:00. I could not. I hurried across town to get there on time. I was on time but no shot. Not right!!! The only reason I even gave it 2 stars is because of Dr. Pettegrew. He is AWESOME!!! Hands down the best! I've never had such exasperating conversations with a doctor as I have with Baz Allergy. My 12 year old som has Autism and is unable to communicate any medical concerns. Dr. Baz has repeatedly started conversations with me in the most confrontational way, said he "doesn't care about court orders", refuses to allow me to schedule an appointment (but will allow my son's mother to do so), doesn't let me speak, refuses to look over previous doctor's findings that contradict his, states that he doesn't need any of my input as a 50% custody holder to prescribe medications to my son, and has hung up on me twice. I've never met him in person. My son is now up to 16 prescribed medications without Dr. Baz having enough information to prescribe a single medication. Dr. Baz's actions jeopardize my son's health which he is sworn to protect. If this is how he routinely treats his patients and those with special needs, you should be concerned about trusting him with your health. read more

Husband went there for 5+ years. They did allergy testing & said he was basically allergic to everything. The gave him shots & nasal spray & he did that for 5 years. After 5 years my husband's sinuses are worse. We moved to Az & he saw a new allergist who ran lots of tests & he has NO allergies. They said his sinus problems are worse from using so many nasal spray's. Wondering what they were giving him injections of for all that time? So if being tested for allergies get a second opinion. It's a scam to get you getting allergy shots. read more

My daughter and I went in a year ago. The doctor spent 5 minutes with us giving us one liners and cracking jokes. When I told him we didn't want injections, he was quick to dismiss us and offer some "samples that someone just brought in today" of nose inhalers. In short, the visit offered no relief and proved a complete waste of time. They have a bizarre billing policy where they make you pay a copay even if you have a primary and secondary insurance, as I do. Then, they say, after the secondary insurance pays the already-paid-for copay, they will send a reimbursement to the patient. A year later, my secondary insurance has no evidence that a claim was filed with them, and I have not been reimbursed. As a side note, the office billed my insurance $33 and an additional $38 for showing me how to use the inhaler. Really? All in all, there seems to be some ethically questionable practices going on here, both medically and in the billing department. Since then, I have been to another allergist who has performed three tests for me and recommended two medication changes, which have been helpful. Avoid Baz and look elsewhere. read more

Called Clovis location on Herndon to get appointment Already and established patient but I have new insurance and wanted to make sure they were still in network with new insurance so I'm not stuck with a big bill. Girl on phone says she can't help me I would have to find that out myself if I was in network and my benefit coverage so I told her I would find another doctor if she could not help me and she said that's fine! I decided to walk into the S. Clovis Ave office to see if they could help me. Not only did they look up my benefits they got me in to see the doctor same day! That is what customer service is! I've never had a problem with the doctors. You don't always get the same one but they are all good. My main issue is with the injections side of things. There's one guy who works there regulary who is named Houthe and he is great. He really does a good job. All of the others who do injections somehow manage to make it hurt every time. It's not in my head. They go more slow or something. I'm not sure how their technique is different from his but it makes a big differerence. They need to have Houthe show them how to do it his way. And the other complaint is that they don't open their wifi network. Really, if they are going to make us all wait for half an hour once a week, wouldn't it be a very nice perk to make it so we could use wifi? It would just be the sort of bonus that would make me recommend them to everyone. read more

The doctors I've seen have been wonderful... I was very impressed with the wide range of treatment options that were presented. Normally it seems like the most expensive option is pushed while the others are downplayed and not encouraged. I didn't feel like that was the case here. They had the cost for every treatment option readily available so I was able to make an informed decision. He was also honest about how much his treatment options would really be able to help. The doctor I saw was very knowledgeable and kind. I was thankful that after being completely miserable for 4 days, within minutes of finishing the scratch test they brought me an anti-histamine. He also provided some addition prescriptions to take in the short term to help bring my symptoms down to a more manageable level - something I appreciated as I hadn't been able to even go for walks with my sons or roll the windows down in my car. That being said, I agree with a previous reviewer who said that they need to open their Wi-Fi network or something. Having to go twice a week and stay 30 minutes each time would be much nicer if they could just open that up. I'm sure it would be a much appreciated gesture to their patients! read more

Took my son here who has severe asthma and allergy since we recently moved to California. They kept telling us we had to run more "test" and make additional appointments. After 3 appointments we had no prescriptions for the asthma medication he desperately needed and was told they wanted to do another breathing test. When I told the practitioner that I was not paying for anymore test and I just want some treatment for my son she told me I could leave and "see where my son lands without her." It is clear they are in it for the money not helping patients. I would stay away!!! read more

I took my daughter to Dr Baz office 4 years ago because she was always having sinus problems. They did the scratch test and said she was allergic to Dogs, Cats, Horses, molds, dust everything under the sun pretty much. The put her on Zyrtec, Singular, and Flonase.. At the time my daughter was in kindergarten, I stopped going there a while back because I would take my daughter in for a med check and even though she was doing fine they would try to push me to do a breathing treatment on her a $275.00 test I had to pay out of pocket for. I told them no every time because she wasn't having any breathing problems. I had her pediatrician take over all her med needs, but she still continued to have sinus problems. I finally took her to an ENT, they asked what the percentage was on the things she was allergic to. I said I didn't know because it was a scratch test. He requested labs to see how bad her allergies were, well the labs came back all negative. I took my daughter off all the meds they put her on and she hasn't had even a runny nose. Also I noticed my daughters stomach always looked bloated, I took her off meds 2/7 and I can tell her stomach is starting to go down. Here I thought I was doing something good by taking her there. And the ENT has sent three request for her records and they still haven't sent them. read more

Dr. Pettigrew is great but the MA's, nurses and the allergy shot person that work there are very rude and basically don't care. I would switch to a different allergy facility but i already started the testing at the Fresno Ave. office and then switched to Herndon Ave. so I feel like I'm stuck at Baz. I WOULD AVOID BAZ ALLERGY UNLESS YOU LIKE TO BE AROUND EXTREMELY RUDE PEOPLE. read more
