Definitely the most popular place in town, bedsides the bbq spot FOOD- I got an anchovy pizza, on gluten free crust (cuz I'm bougie), with pesto sauce instead of tomato. It was good, but my God it was salty lol I was a bit sad in the amount of anchovies that were on the pizza as well. Was hoping for a good amount Had a mead before the meal that was tasty as well, just not a fan of the half pour, since it's treated like a wine. My friend got the 3 taco plate. She loved it. Lot of meat on tacos, very tender, & really juicy. She liked the option between the 2 sauces for her chips. SERVICE- The bartender did a great job though. Very attentive to EVERYONE in her area. The door girl was the opposite lol maybe a bad day for her, idk, but just a lack of giving a F, if you know what I mean haha AMBIANCE- Nice. A pretty awesome patio too. Front room is a bit crowded though, since the bar is very small. Lot of room in the back though for eating, & then the connected distillery has plenty of room for the drinkers
Surprisingly, my kids are picky even when it comes to Pizza. This place did not disappoint the kiddos. Great food, great service and just a lot of fun people doing karaoke in the back room. We came on a busy night and we had to wait for 20-30 minutes. During that time I hung up by the fire outside and met some great people. Seems like people come back here every year, cloudcroft is a destination where families meet up during the holidays. Not a great place if you're planning on having a couple beers and driving back to town, it's on a twisted mountain road. The workers are all local, they can definitely give some good advice on nearby activities like hiking and where to get a great view of the sunrise.
Had a flight because I couldn't decide. All 4 were outstanding. What a great place for Cloudcroft! It is a must try if you're in the area.
Enjoyed our meal. Plenty of seating. I do have somewhat of an issue. If you order water, you are directed to go "help yourself". If I am seated and someone is taking my order, they should bring it to me (like they do if ordering a beer). Other than that, the Zia pizza was delicious and the salad was plentiful.
Love coming here for the pizza and beer!! We visit from las cruces almost every week. Services is always great and the food is always delicious! Nothing like having a slice of pizza in the mountains. It's always fun to walk around town after and shop. Great place for Friends and family. Some weekends they have bands playing, it's nice to sit and relax while listening to live music
We were visiting family in the area and decided to go here again. This time was a DISASTER of an experience. The pizzas are still good. We had Coreys Fav and the Sweet and Spicy, both were really great. Flavors are good and the crust is nice. Seating wasn't bad, weather was great for a late June day, the large doors were open in the seating area, a nice breeze blowing. ... some really nice ambience. Where this goes horribly south is the LARGE automatic gratuity that they decided to impose on us because we had 7 adults and 1 infant at the same table, even tho we came in 3 separate groups and paid as 3 separate groups. 20% they wanted to charge us, not the state define 15%. Both of which I think is both unethical and not right in any way, as a gratuity is supposed to be based on the level of service received and not as an automatic supplement because the business doesn't want to pay the employees adequate wages. The service we received WAS NOT worth anywhere near even the 15% the state recommends. The server takes the order, and delivers the order, the same as any fast food chain. We had to get our own water and drinks. They don't stop to ask if we want anything else, refills, more cider/beer, desert, NOTHING! Yet they want to auto bill a gratuity of 20% for services that are NOT rendered. We did talk to the server, and he said that's how it was and there was nothing he could do. So we asked for the manager. She finally came and said she could remove it but it would take a while. However, all she did was provide a discount to lower the price to "compensate" for the gratuity, which wasn't a total discount, as it was still 88 cents more than the original bill, AND the auto gratuity was still in the bill! Ok, guess who didn't get any extra tips. So this server got his normal hourly rate, we were there roughly an hour, as well as an additional $30 + in auto gratuity to simply take an order and have someone else deliver it, he did absolutely nothing else for us to earn that level of gratuity. Keep in mind, we were NOT a group of 8 as the small print on the menu states. This was very aggravating and very unprofessional.
Happy with our food and server tonight. The food was good, and I am always delighted when a place has house ranch. House salad hit the spot along with a few slices of pizza. The only thing it was missing was croutons. They had pizza combinations that sounded really good. They have a cool outdoor area, which I imagine is a pretty fun place to have bands play while they open up the big garage-type doors. They have self-serve water, which is a nice idea. They were pretty busy, but it didn't take too long to be seated. It doesn't seem like there is much parking, but if you are staying at a nearby hotel, it is an easy little walk.
Cloudcroft Brewing Company is a must stop in town. We were driving by and noticed the sign off the main road so we decided to give it a try. It's a large space and it looks like they have a small stage for live performances. They have plenty of beers to choose from so we shared a few flights and were able to try most of them. They have a few guest beers as well. What better to complement your beer than with a pizza, and theirs are great. After, we headed into the attached distillery for a post-dinner nightcap and really enjoyed the full experience.
A very busy brewery and restaurant. They don't serve very much food, their menu was one page. I think that means they focus more on the beers they offer. We showed up early so we could play games in their brewery area as we wait but they told us we couldn't do that because we had a newborn. (Kinda dumb in my opinion, the kids had to wait outside in the cold, but I get the law). We were already on the waiting list for a table so we didn't have to wait that much longer. Our waitress was kind & fast. We ordered 4 pizzas and I tried two of them. I don't really recommend the pizza; the Greek one tasted odd, had too much pesto, and the Margarita one had way too much cheese & burnt the basil. But my family liked the other two, the Corey & the sweet & salty pizza. My sister who lives in New Mexico made it seem like this was the hopping place to be, which explained why it was so busy for a small town. We brought some games to play but since we were taking up a table for others we didn't play very long. Just enough to finish the pizza. My sister definitely recommends this place!
This place is such a vibe! A nice place tucked right into the mountains with a breezy outdoor patio. The margarita pizza was amazing and their beers have a wide selection. 10/10 recommend!!
long wait times but it was expected for a weekend evening. Nice atmosphere and good drinks. Pizza was good but a bit overpriced in my opinion.
Limited menu, pizza, soup, salad, chips, and guacamole. Food was really really good. Staff was friendly. Kind of reminds me of a ski chalet. Due to the limited menu it is not something I would seek out in the future, but I definitely recommend if you're in the area. The soup of the day was really flavorful
Place is classy modern mountain cabin interior. The servers are great & friendly. We ordered the Corey's Fav & Zita pizzas which were adequate for the four of us. We added a cup of soup & salad. The pizza had a thin crispy crust and flavorful. I complemented the pizza with their house brewed dark lager that was really good! Price was reasonable & low for a mountain resort. Parking was adequate.

Came here for lunch today. Ordered Greek pizza and Pepperoni pizza for 4 of us and they were very good. We had house made root beer. But they have variety kinds of beer available for those who wants beer. Our family enjoyed the amabiance. Labor day weekend holiday crowd is expected but still has alot of room inside and u can still have conversations even when crowded. Our wait time was 25 mins. Not bad. Highly recommended. We will be coming back as well. read more

Very delicious pizza and beer coming from a local New Yorker Typically I don't eat the crust but it was toasted just right and not too bready and thin. Flavors were impactful. We enjoyed the Cory's fave without the onions Their local beer is a must try too! read more
Our family of 4 stopped in after a snowy hike. They do not have a kids menu, but we knew before arriving that we wanted pizza and barely glanced at the rest of the food menu. The cheesy bread, pepperoni pizza, and margherita pizza were great, and the house-made pizza sauce and ranch were absolutely delicious. We tried a total of 7 beers and would drink any of them again! They have several small tables in inside and a large outdoor area. This would be a staple for us if we lived in the area! read more
I would not have expected this for a small town. The service was excellent. They had open spacious seating and a huge variety of beer on tap (some from other breweries too). The pizza was great and prices were reasonable. A must stop if you find yourself in Cloudcroft! read more

Great service Good beer Good Neapolitan style pizza I wish they used real plates, bowls, silverware. The paper plates are really cheap and flimsily. I had the soup which was awesome but I was told it was egg drop. It was more like egg drop base with chicken, cabbage, green onion, water chestnuts, carrots and celery. I suggest you inform the guest all ingredients as there may be an allergy of something they don't like. read more

What a super find! After stopping in and checking out this old wild west town we headed for some refreshments at the Cloudcroft Brewing company. We were fortunate enough to be there mid afternoon and grab a table without a wait. Can advise that waits can be long because this location is in high demand. We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. The menu has a wonderful selection of house beer and guest taps. Wine and soft drinks are also available. Pizza selection is great because you can build your own. There's also offerings of a house salad that was super fresh and delicious dressings. The soup of the day was a green chili stew , but we did not have a chance to try that. The pizzas were awesome! Crust was cooked perfectly and sauce was delicious. Our server was super attentive and super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the beers. Accompanied by a certified beer judge, he agreed that the beers were excellent and their red was exceptional. We were disappointed to see such a good beer served in plasticware, but dwere informed by the server that due to staffing challenges that they had to go this route to comedy the brisk business without being fully staffed. You would not have known that they were short on staff as we waited for nothing and had a great experience. Highly recommend this is a stop about 20 minutes outside of Alamogordo, the cool vibes of the restaurant, the excellent food and beer get you ready to head for the nearby ski slopes! P.S. I would like to note that a couple of slices of leftover pizza held up well for breakfast the next morning! read more

4.5 stars really - read on to see why: Staff were friendly and the bathrooms clean. My wife and I were passing thru en route to Ruidoso. Grabbed a couple of their local beer offerings and ordered a Margherita pizza with the soup & salad combo. Pizza is cooked in an onion shaped adobe type oven and was excellent. The soup of the day was Pozole with pork - OMG! Highlight of our trip so far; amazing - I want the recipe!! My wife had a blonde style beer and it was good. I had a peanut butter one and that was excellent as well. Here is the 1/2 star deduction: the salad! Although it tasted amazing with their homemade sauce, it was served jammed into a plastic box one would expect of having a to go order. We dined at the bar and when I attempted to open the salad container, it sprung out like a kids jack-in-the-box toy - cheese fell on the floor, olives spilled onto the bar top, lettuce all over the place. I'm no prude, so I scooped up all the goodness (sans cheese on the floor) and tucked in. Recapping: 1/2 star deduction for the food packaging (paper plates and bowl with plastic utensils compounded by a circus like clown-car of a salad container. Regardless, will go back!! read more
Cloudcroft was a delightful respite from a long road trip. I fortuitously stumbled upon this place and how grateful I was to do so. The staff are wonderful. There was a local artist playing which made the entire establishment feel like something from a cool CW-era tv show. The pizza was good, but the beer was heavenly. I would love to come back during their ski season. read more

This place was delicious when it opened. Now it's just a sad tourist trap. Beer served in a solo cup and pizza on a paper plate. Every frozen pizza I've had from walmart was as good or better than this one. read more

Wow, what a gem!? Stopped in because I had stumbled across Cloudcroft a few weekends ago on a Roadtrip and I wanted to come back through. This place was super cool. I could see it being a local hangout spot in the evenings. I ended up having the Wheat beer and loved it. I also enjoyed their soup of the day: Chicken Sausage Gumbo (spicy!) and the Sweet & Tangy pie: kinda like a Hawaiian. Both were excellent! If you're ever visiting Cloudcroft or just passing through, please check them out. read more

Very nice place right in Cloudcroft that we stopped in to one Sunday afternoon. There was live music (he was so phenomenal!) and a beautiful outdoor patio. The pizzas were the BEST I've had in a long time. They're thin crust so you eat like half a pizza though before your stomach has caught up with your eyes - very easy to smash a whole one my yourself. The menu selection is small - pizza, beer, salad, and soup. No apps or wine, which is weird for a brewery - but all around five stars! read more

Lots of IPA's on draft to choose from; some really great pizza; friendly and courteous service; and a very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere are all the reasons that this place has become one of favorites while visiting Cloudcroft. On their menu, scan the bar code to see what IPA's are available that day on tap (Easy-Peasy). I ordered "Art's Red Ale" (AKA Rail Spike Rail). It's an Imperial Amber Ale with 8.2% ABV and 56 IBU ($5.00). I found it to be very smooth, with a great taste, and yes, a little bit of punch to it, I highly recommend! I ordered their "Zia Pie". It was my first time at trying it, and my decision was based solely on the pictures posted on Yelp - it looked really good!! The verdict is, it's even better in real life!! It's made with homemade tomato sauce, sharp cheddar cheese, chopped green chile, chorizo, chopped tomatoes, red onions, and cilantro. All this on top of a perfectly cooked thin crust - it was delicious! My server, Cassidy, did an outstanding job of checking on me frequently and making sure everything was good. She had a pleasant personality, was knowledgeable about the menu, and courteous - everything that an employer loves to have representing their business. I love sitting in their outdoor patio area, enjoying the cool breeze from being in the mountains. If you haven't had the opportunity to visit, you need to put this on your list. This is an easy 5 Stars. read more

Warning - not dog friendly. You'd think that with a large outdoor patio they would be. They told us it was under construction rather than just saying so and I walked around back to walk my dog while waiting on our pizza to go and found the patio now full. Beer is good, hoping the pizza is better. Just want to make sure people know before committing to lunch and having to leave. Update: the pizza is phenomenal, just leave your dog at home :) read more

Beer to go? Cans? Growlers? Can I bring my own growler?
They do sell beer cans and growlers to go. And unless it's changed you can definitely bring your own growler.
Do they offer a gluten free crust?
Yes it doesn't taste much different from the regular crust
Is the patio pet-friendly?
Nope they don't have any area where dogs are allowed. We asked! We ended up getting some pies to go because our fur baby was with us.
