I came here the other day with a friend after she recommended I join her for a Groupon facial special. Helene was working on my face and was super knowledgeable and caring with my skin. I had a few burns from a previous acne treatment and she was gentle and suggested great alternatives to correct it. I was super happy with my service. My skin feels more refreshed and clean. Helene did a great job! I will most certainly be returning back here for another facial by her. I was not disappointed and recommend checking her out if you're in the area - even if you're not, it's worth taking the drive as I did myself. Also a huge plus she's so sweet. Only con was I was informed the service would cost me $50. When going up to the desk to pay I was charged $65. Not sure why it went up $15 dollars. Looks like next time I'll have to triple ask before getting into the room for a service. read more

Let me begin but saying my skin journey has been a turbulent one, to say the least. Helene really took the time to evaluate my skin & picked products that wouldn't irritate my sensitive, combination skin. She was extremely communicative & always checked in on me. I told her about a really traumatic experience I had with an esthetician & she put me at ease entirely. It was truly a wonderful experience & I already have booked my next follow up appointment. I felt like I had know her for years upon meeting her! She was truly interested in my skin concerns & addresses the problems directly. She also provided me with some samples that were for my skin type. I knew I was in safe hands. 1000% recommend. PS You can see by the pic [no filter] how smooth & texture free my skin is. Literally glowing. All I have on it is a little bit of sunscreen that Helene put on. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Helene and Cloud 9. My underarms have always had deep pigmentation because of my thick black hair and I was shaving every day. I am amazed at the transformation, and this is only immediately after my 2nd session. The growth has slowed tremendously. Helene is flexible and always makes it easy to schedule via text, call, or on her website. So happy with my results already and I still have many more to go. Highly recommend Cloud 9 to everybody!! read more

Helene is wonderful. She is SO down to earth and when you meet her, it will feel like you've known her for years. I've only seen her three times so far but I feel so comfortable while there - let's face it, getting a wax is always a little awkward, but not with Helene. As for the wax itself - it was wonderful! I first went to Helene with a Groupon and was slightly hesitant but after reading one review here on Yelp, I decided to give it a go. I'm so glad I did. Helene also specializes in massages and facials, although I have yet to book one of those services with her read more

I've been coming here for a few months for facials and eyebrow shaping / waxing. Cloud 9 isn't just a 'beauty' spa, Helene sincerely cares about the skin care of each and every single one of her clients. Not only does the facial make my skin feel good, but my skin also looks and feels healthy after a few visits. I don't feel like I have to take off my make up and wash my face by lunch time anymore. I never would have thought to get facials instead of wasting time and money on doctor visits and prescription products to get healthy skin until someone recommended I visit Helene. My skin is sensitive to pain and Helene knows how to work with that. She has products for all skin types. Her and her staff always make me feel at ease and comfortable the second I step in the door. As far as my eyebrows go, I started waxing as a young teen. My skin was so sensitive that I would go home in tears and a red face for 2-3 days and would sometimes bleed. I went to multiple salons and never found the right place for me. I then switched to threading when I went away to college, but the hair would grow back in a week. Helene mentioned she has wax that won't make me hide inside after I get them done, and she was right! I barely feel anything and my eyebrows do not swell up when it's done. She also does them in under two minutes and they always look great. I can go 4-6 weeks without having to get them done again. I always look forward to my monthly visits at Cloud 9. read more

I love Helene!!!!!!! I have been going to her for over 20 years. My skin is always flawless when I walk out of her boutique. I probably should go more often and be more consistent, but she always gets me together even when I neglect my skin. She is patient, she is kind and she loves to teach you about skin care. My son even goes to her for his teen acne. Hands down she is excellent. Run don't walk to make an appointment with this awesome Esthetician. read more

OMG! I love Helene. I've been a client for several years. She is professional and she always makes you feel comfortable. Her place is always soothing and welcoming. I highly recommend going here. read more

I was in town for a friends wedding and having a bad breakout with my acne. Sadly, the wedding party did not have space for me with their makeup person and I have no skills to do my own. Frantically, we searched around for other options and this location popped up. Boy am I glad it did!! Helene was super nice, helpful and even came in on a Sunday morning to get me done. Without her magic, I would have looked horrible in pictures that would last a lifetime. I am so grateful for her and everything she did! Use them for anything. You will not be disappointed!! read more

I feel a little bad about leaving this review because Helene seemed nice but my experience there was really poor. When I arrived, Helene told me that she had double-booked and asked me to wait. A woman was already in the room receiving a treatment so she moved her across the hall (in a towel) so that she could wax me really quickly. She stayed in the room while I undressed, constantly telling me to hurry up. I had to put my clothing on the table because the other woman's clothes were on the floor! The wax lasted about 10 minutes and hurt terribly. I felt a bit sore on the drive home and realized that I developed dark red, itchy skin in that area. I have been getting waxed for 5 years and never had a problem with sensitivity. The redness and pain lasted 2-3 days. I realize that Helene double-booked and that sort of thing happens, but the professional thing to do would have been to re-book me and do my wax for free. Instead, she tried to cut corners and that's really not a safe thing to do when you're waxing someone's privates. I wanted to give this place another try and see if my experience would be different if Helene wasn't so rushed but I don't want to risk it. read more

I recently bought a Groupon for Cloud 9 Skin Care & Body Work Center for waxing. It was a great deal and the center is close to my home, so I thought what could be the harm in trying! I had an amazing experience at the center. I walked in and was waited on immediately. More importantly, waxing is an uncomfortable situation but Helene, my waxer, made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I am so glad I bought this Groupon because I found a new center for all my waxing needs and even other services that I plan on trying. read more

Wonderful experience here. Helene is a pro and her team is so pleasant and well trained. The atmosphere is lovely, clean and soothing. My skin looks amazing. Plus, I left feeling so pampered and relaxed. Definitely glad I came here. Highly recommend! read more

First time getting waxed professionally. I was a bit worried about the pain factor, but Helene did such a wonderful job allaying my fears. Her friendly personality completely changed the entire procedure into something fun and relaxing! Was there pain? Yes, of course... but anyone who goes for waxing should know this! Note- Helene works FAST, so if you are looking to be coddled and pampered, then best look elsewhere. But if you are looking for a clean, friendly salon that can fit into your busy schedule, check this place out! Extra bonus- if you leave your cell number, you will get text-messaged confirmations and reminders. read more

I cannot express enough how amazing Helene is. From waxing to facials, she's the person you want to go to! You get short and long term results. I look forward to the treatment and conversation each time! She's the best! read more

I started going to Helene for facials about 10 years ago, when she was recommended by a friend. After the first treatment, I was hooked! I had such issues with my skin for years prior and within the first few facials, I saw a tremendous difference. Since then, I make regular appointments to not only treat my skin but to do a little something for myself. I would recommend Helene to anyone who is looking for a more personal treatment. Sometimes at large spa facilities you can feel awkward or pushed through your appt, with Helene, she will sit with you and answer all of your questions. She definitely takes a more one on one approach and makes her customers feel comfortable and welcomed. This is absolutely why she has a large group of long standing customers. Go see her, you will be hooked as well! read more

I decided to go to Cloud 9 to see Helene for a wax because of the great reviews on yelp. SO glad I did! She's amazing. Booking an appointment with her is really easy - she does everything via text message. I had a hard time finding the place as Cloud 9 is inside of the Amadam Salon on Central Ave in Pearl River. But I called Helene to ask her where she was located and she guided me right to it. She's so sweet and funny, and the wax was super quick! I used to go to the European Wax Center, and now I'll never go anywhere but to Helene. Totally worth it! read more

This place is awesome! I had a facial here yesterday. Helene took the time to evaluate my skin and determine the best treatment for me. She was knowledgable, patient, and made my experience relaxing and enjoyable. My skin was glowing afterwards and wasn't red or puffy like I've seen happen after extractions. I will return and highly recommend!! read more

Best Brazilian wax I've ever gotten. Helene and Cassidy were great. Very quick, smooth, and not as painful - combine this with their excellent customer service, I was really impressed. The spa itself may not be as modern or clean looking, but they were very attentive with the service and my needs. Surprised I discovered such a impressive hole in the wall place! Wish I lived closer. Will definitely come back to this place if I visit again. read more

I highly recommend Helene for bikini waxing and skin care treatments. It was my first time getting a Brazilian wax and she was especially friendly and good at calming my nerves. She explained everything about the procedure and left no surprises, which I really appreciated. She also explained to me afterwards how to properly take care of my newly bare skin. I can't believe how relatively painless my first Brazilian wax was! read more

I called Cloud 9 a few weeks ago around 3:15, hoping they could squeeze me in for eyebrow waxing even though they close at 4 after calling every single European Wax Center in the area and having no luck. To my delight, Helene told me I could come right in. She greeted me with a smile and introduced herself as soon as I walked in and made the process seem as if I was doing HER a favor by being there, instead of vice versa. I knew I was in good hands with Helene. She was incredibly helpful, patient, honest, and made the experience enjoyable. I will certainly be back!!! Thank you Helene, for being so great :) read more

I love Helene! I've had pigmentation issues around my eye area for many years, and every other product, diet or lifestyle change did not improve my skin's overall health as much as Helene's facials. She has gone out of her way to try new products that have also alleviated the symptoms, and most importantly she is a breeze to get along with. A lively and unassuming personality, Helene makes you feel at ease in any situation (even for those awkward bikini waxes!). Her services are located within 'Amadam' hair salon so its not a full-blown 'spa' experience, but Helene's expertise and quality work (at a reasonable price) will leave you satisfied & relaxed regardless. Definitely recommended! read more

Helene does amazing things with brows! She is so knowledgeable about skin care, I always have a great experience in there.

Got an amazing facial from Helene..super friendly and very awesome face cleaning

Very clean, professional and affordable! Helene is the best around! Definitely go here!!

I have been seeing Helene for over a year now and she has been fantastic for me. I consulted with her for help with my persistent acne. She assessed my skin and recommended that I start off with her cleansing facials. I am normally wary and cautious because of my sensitive skin and prior experiences with reactions to facials, but Helene's calm and positive demeanor reassured me. She told me that she would take care of this, but that I had to be patient. I liked her honesty and I decided to give her a try. A year later, my skin has completely cleared up thanks for a dual care regimen of Helene's facials and an electrolysis treatment. The facials themselves are very relaxing and I always come away feeling refreshed. I have never had a reaction to any of the products she uses, which is a direct opposite of many of my earlier facial experiences. Helene's beliefs in minimal intervention and leaving the skin to heal and glow naturally are in perfect alignment with my skin care philosophy. I have since had other family members visit Helene for facials, massages and everyone has nothing but praise for her healing hands. Setting up appointments with Helene are a breeze. She responds promptly to text messages and is ever accommodating of schedules. She is conveniently located in the heart of Pearl River. I am grateful for my chance encounter with Helene that has helped transform my skin. If I had one wish for Helene, it would be that she had larger rooms to work in since the current rooms are a little tight in space. But that will not stop me from recommending Helene's services. read more

I was hesitant to leave a review but it has been bothering me a big time...We recently moved to WCL and I was looking for a new place for my facial. After reading posted reviews I booked it at cloud 9 and was totally shocked at what I experience. Helen was nice, so as Yelitsa but the place was small, not so neat and messy. Even though I was clear that I would like to have an Anti-aging treatment for $70 at the end I was asked to pay $85.... Apparently I got a face and shoulder massage (5 -7 min) which I didnt ask for. BTW its not my first facial ever and that massage should have been included and not only 7 min. So because I questioned the amount ($85) I was given a discount...lol... and end up paying $80. I did leave $20 tip for Yelitsa and left with a lesson... Dont believe every review. read more

Helene puts you at ease the moment you walk in the door. It's like spending time with old friends. Highly recommend.

I purchased a Groupon for a facial with Helene. I had been recommended by someone to see her for a facial. The spa is located in a hair salon called Amadam. Helene is very friendly, down-to-earth and warm. The spa itself is a no fuss, no frills type of place -- she uses Dermalogica products. I think if you have fairly sensitive skin, just warn her in advance because the Dermalogica products can be very strong. However, the results are amazing -- Helene is very thorough with her extractions and upon leaving her spa, my skin's condition has improved. I have to say her extractions are much less painful than other places I have been to, and she really does make a conscious effort to get everything out of your face versus leaving bits and pieces to harpoon you in for additional treatments or to push products on you. She's got a great temperament. I appreciate her facials although she does leave you to steam and leaves the room, you don't feel pressured to talk to her during the entire process like in some spas where the estheticians can be extremely chatty whilst you're getting your treatment. Compared to other places, this isn't an establishment you'd go to for the ambience but if you're going to get honest results - this is definitely the place for you. I would recommend this establishment if you have acne prone skin or problematic skin because you'll definitely see results. read more

I've been coming to Helene for a while now, and am more than satisfied. I'd been dealing with hair/skin issues that a doctor of mine said I'd need to be on long-term antibiotics or receive laser hair removal treatments to fix. I was getting waxed by Helene for a while which helped compared to shaving, but then tried her laser hair removal which is helping my skin an unbelievable amount. Not to mention her prices are much, much cheaper than having it done at a doctors office. Highly recommend, she definitely takes care of you no matter what you need. Professional, clean, friendly, the works. read more

Helen is great! I went for my first time 2 months ago. My wax was done quick and as painless as possible. Definitely going back!
