This was my worst Asian food experiences in a long time. The chicken fried rice was mushy and flavorless. Pork egg rolls tasted like they were low quality frozen egg rolls. I got so full eating all you can eat sushi. My co worker had 28 pieces of sushi who I was impressed. I ordered spicy salmon it was spongy. I then ordered the winter mountain and it was delicious. FOOD POISONING WARNING! Ordered the Firecracker Roll and California Roll. The Firecracker was bad -- the fish tasted old and rancid, and the peppers inside were absolutely not jalapeños. Whatever they used was extremely hot (at least serrano-level) and had no flavor. The California Roll looked like it had been prepped a day or two earlier, and the shrimp had a strong, fishy odor -- a clear sign it wasn't fresh. We both started feeling sick halfway through and couldn't finish our food. I ended up throwing up about 20 feet outside the door, and my wife felt ill as well. We left early -- overall, a terrible experience and a very disappointing way to end the weekend in Duluth. Someone should really have the health department take a closer look -- this doesn't seem like an isolated issue. EDIT: Wife just threw up 30 minutes after leaving. I met friends here for lunch last Saturday. It was very busy. Parking was available on the street or in municipal lots. Took some time to get a spot. Beware of permit only lots! The food was very plentiful and tasty! I've never had such large sushi rolls for an AYCE buffet! The all you can eat option is probably best for adults or anyone who's really hungry. Unfortunately Kids menu only goes up to age 10. I brought two 11-year-olds. I was charged $25 each for them. They did not eat much. next time I would have them share a roll or two for the experience. Unfortunately, the fried food tasted off. Including the noodles. I don't know if it was the type of oil, they said they use canola oil. Don't know if it needed to be refreshed. Unfortunately, will most likely not eat here again. The Boba tea was fun and excellent. Honestly a very disappointing end to our night in Duluth. We were very excited to try this All you can eat sushi restaurant, but it did not meet our expectations at all. The pieces of sushi were all warm and did not smell very fresh. We gave it a chance still thinking the warm fish could've been from the rice but after a few bites in my girlfriend and I didn't feel too well and she spent over half our time in the restaurant throwing up in the bathroom. We also ordered some cocktails that were mostly just juice and overly sweet for cocktails. We weren't charged for not finishing the sushi, which was appreciated, but the upset stomachs for the rest of the evening really killed our night. read more

AYCE sushi??? Count me in! This spot was a great find on our road-trip, and all the locals seemed to agree based on the ever-growing waitlist to get a table. For $23/person, you can eat as much sushi, hibachi, and appetizers as your heart desires. The service was nice, even though you don't interact with the staff very much. There's a sheet that you mark up to let the chefs know what to make & for what table. I just felt really horrible at the end because a table close to ours pushed through the staff and left without paying their large bill. If I had to describe this restaurant, I'd definitely say it's trendy and sort of romantic because of the comfy seating and low lighting. I hope they continue to get lots of business :) read more

I been coming here many times almost once a week & my fav combo is Deluxe Sashimi, Rainbow Roll, bottle of cold sake & a bottle of Kirin. (All separate, not combo on menu) the sashimi is always fresh every time, the rainbow roll is as is multiple fishes over CA roll, very fresh. Servers and bartenders are super polite and helpful with any questions I had. All in all great experience and def. recommend to anyone. Ps. Shannon & Fiona was super cheerful. After my son and I were told a 45 minute wait at Red Lobster, we discovered this little gem. There was no wait, and it only cost $21.99 for AYCE. The staff were quite friendly and happy. Their menu had a nice selection, and they prepared the sushi pretty quick. We ate more than what was pictured, because I dove into a few of the roles without even considering a photo first. When you think of sushi you think of all the options that sushi has to offer. My wife and I heard that Cloud 9 has a buffet of sushi, so we decided to try that. Also, we just love to eat asain cousine. As you pull up to this building all the windows are blacked out with really dark tint as if the place has closed. Not a lot of parking space available so if you want to eat around lunch time, forget it, or park at the DECC and walk over. As you walk inside it's a complete difference from the outside. Inside it's elegant and grand with red fabric cushions, wooden tables with a shine finish, and elegant lighting. Our waitress didn't say a word to us as we first sat down and just left the menus on the table. It was wierd not even to be asked if we would like a drink or something. Then as I looked at the buffet there was a message written after the buffet price that if we did not finish the food on our plate we would be charged extra for wasteing food. I'm no expert at running a restaurant, but this was the first one to ever tell me that I would be charged extra aside from a price on the menu if I wasted food. Honestly it made me uncomfortable ordering their buffet at all. My wife and I still ordered it but knew we were not going to ordering all the different ones we would have liked to try, and instead ordered 4 total sushi rolls to try and split between us. So 4 sushi rolls plus two fountain pops came to over $50. It would be really great to speak with our waitress at this time but all they could do is nod acknowledging witch roll we wanted, it just makes it hard when you wanr to ask questions about a particular roll and they have no idea what your saying. Anyway, the food was delicious, it's worth trying at least once. First time here. Service was quick because it was slow but for two person all you can eat buffet plus the 11% tax fee charge was outrageous. For a beer and a Margarita came to a total of 65$. I give this place 1 star. I'll start by saying I was soooo excited for sushi. I had a night out without the kiddos so I decided I wanted sushi. Was ecstatic for this food. First we walked in (nobody ahead of us and open tables visible) and waited to be seated. This took 15 minutes before we had to tell one of the 5 people just standing there that there was 2 of us waiting to be seated. After they got super flustered and had us sit for a couple more minutes, they brought us to our seats. We were doing all you can eat so immediately filled out the paper. And waited. We had multiple multiple people walk past us without saying anything. After waiting for 15 minutes our server finally came over and took our papers. She was not friendly, didn't greet us, nothing. "All you can eat?" That's all. We asked for a water and a Pepsi, she came back with two waters. Thinking she was still bringing my soda I waited she came back with our soup so I asked if she could grab my Pepsi when she had a second, to which she was clearly grumpy about. I ordered yum yum sauce for my rice and Siracha for my sushi to which she said "that'll be an extra dollar" I said ok. The rice arrived with out the yum yum so I asked another server walking by if I could get some. Our server walked up and said "the siracha is an extra dollar" When she came out with our sushi the picture below is what arrived. This is a Philadelphia roll. It's a joke. This is a cucumber roll with the smallest amount of salmon they could get in it. WHAT IS THIS?!? She Again had to mention the dollar charge for the siracha. Not to mention a dollar for the small amount given?!? . I received no refills on my soda. Our server was grumpy with everything we asked (if she didn't forget the first time we wouldn't have asked twice) The service is horrible. Food is gross. I didn't order a veggie roll or a cucumber salad? Worst experience ever. Way to ruin my moms night out. I'm mad I paid 30 bucks for a nasty meal and the worst server. DONT go here. Disappointing. I will say there was one server who brought me the yum yum when I asked who was very kind and I wish we had them as our server. When you walk in it looks like you would enjoy your food and time there. Very wrong. Don't waste your money, time, or stomach space. read more

We only got half of the rolls we ordered the first time and the second time it took 45 minutes. Not impressed with the selection. Ordered the noodles for my son and didn't get it until an hour later. Finally got around to trying this place out and needless to say, I was very disappointed. Came here with my girlfriend as we both love sevral asian cuisines. The host who sat us was one of the lone bright spots here. She was so genuine and friendly, loved her. Our server seemed disinterested in us and gave us poor service throughout our visit. Not impressed with her. The food was alright. We got a variety of sushi rolls and some fried rice but we should've known since we are in Canal Park, it was Canal Park prices. Nearly every restaurant in Canal is priced much higher because of the rent to be down there and the high tourism. Most locals avoid Canal Park anyways, except for a few bars. Decor was done excellently and was a very convincing Asian Fusion restaurant. Always enjoys the glass waterfall displays no matter the venue! The music was AWFUL! I do understand why country music was played at the place like this! I am NOT a fan of country music so this was especially annoying to me. If the staff likes country music, play in the kitchen, not for the guests. Overall, my girlfriend summed it up best by saying, "... a 3 star restaurant with 5 star prices".
