I have received Botox many occasions before (Including juvederm) and have always had results. I normally get 50 units.. I don't see much improvement (if any) with my treatment here. It was a lot of money for this outcome. I contacted the spa about a touchup. They said since it was my first visit, they were more conservative with the amount of units used and that they would give me three units per area, complementary if I came back in. I don't see how it was conservative when it was more units than I've ever received. I drove 40 minutes to visit here and don't think an extra 3 units will do much considering my results. For myself, I booked the hour and a half that's 165 and for my sister I booked the same thing with the jelly mask which is 185. For the prices, I expected a lot more. I understand that it's a scalp treatment, but I feel like most places like this also massage your shoulders your neck, your arms and go a little more above in the service. I talked to someone who I learned provided these treatments after I went, and she agreed. A big part of it is the relaxation and de-stressing. This was to the point of just my scalp so much that it started to hurt like when someone scratches the same place for too long. My sister had even said the same thing to me before I mentioned it, that it just started to hurt at one point for her too. Also, as far as a blowout goes, mine was okay and my sisters had no bounce. So in total, this was around 370 then at the end when they flipped the iPad over the first tip option was 22% and it went to 30%. I always tip 20% wherever I go whether it's a hair appointment or a restaurant, but to me, it felt a little odd to offer the first tip option as 22%. Especially with how I thought the experience went. I tipped 20% and we went on our day but definitely wouldn't be an experience I would come back for which makes me really sad. Not sure if it was maybe an off day but I feel like there was a little to no effort for both of us and it was weird to me how the expected tip was above 20% for what they did. I would recommend going to a place like a dry bar instead to get your hair washed and probably a nicer blowout, it was basically a service like that but just a lot more expensive. Don't think this is the normal head spa experience.
