I told her I had purchased it just yesterday and that it's impossible to know if an item is defective without trying it. Despite this, she refused to process the return. I then asked her to write her name on the receipt so I could speak to a manager or someone higher up. Instead, she wrote something unclear. This has been a very disappointing experience. Because of this, I've decided this will be my last time buying electronic items from Burlington. I can accept lower quality for the price I pay, but receiving a used or broken item is not acceptable.

Then he called Sacramento PD. They didn't show, so he called site security instead. While I was in line, he kept staring and describing me over the radio like I was doing something wrong. When I left, both he and security were standing at the door, clearly trying to intimidate me. I said something as I walked out, and he looked embarrassed. I called the store afterward and spoke with Jasmine--she was wonderful. Totally understood and listened. I really appreciated that. Honestly, I think that employee needs some serious training--or maybe a different role altogether. While he was fixated on me, two girls walked right past him carrying merchandise. Pretty sure they weren't paying for it. I still love Burlington. But I hope they address this, because no customer should feel targeted or uncomfortable just for walking through the door.

I have interacted with this store and company only a few times. Today took the cake. I was…read morereturning an item and was accused it was used despite being in original box/packaging and bag included. Despite online saying it was refundable, the employee said she would make an "exception" and take the item back. Didn't need to. Online said I could return it. Each time I go into this store an associate argues with me over pointless things. For example not willing to look up a pickup order with valid ID and insist on a barcode and try to look in my customer email, or arguing for a gift item making sure the item really wants to be returned. Online customer service is great. However, twice I got the wrong item from what was purchased online. One time I never got my package. Ridiculous.
