I had lost hope and walked into Burlington with zero expectations and boom...found a dress! I'm typically not a bright color person and while I loved the cut of the dress, I wasn't sure if it was right for me. Out of time, I planned to make the purchase anyway. I texted my besties (aka Emotional Support Team lol) to show them the dress and solicit feedback. I happened to share why I was shopping with Zariyah, who quickly said, "The colors go perfectly for your skin. The dress is going to pop, enjoy the party!" Burlington I doubted you and I am sorry. Today, I went to a different Burlington location (since I was in the area) to return it. I explained the issue to the employee, but she rudely told me that I had to go back to the original store where I bought it and that they don't accept returns at her location. I told her I had purchased it just yesterday and that it's impossible to know if an item is defective without trying it. Despite this, she refused to process the return. I then asked her to write her name on the receipt so I could speak to a manager or someone higher up. Instead, she wrote something unclear. This has been a very disappointing experience. Because of this, I've decided this will be my last time buying electronic items from Burlington. I can accept lower quality for the price I pay, but receiving a used or broken item is not acceptable.
