I'm writing this just to compliment Anna. When we came up to the register, my mom was sharing that she was getting her husband new clothes to fit since he had just recovered from throat cancer, and Anna without prompting pulled down two shirts in his exact size she had been saving for her husband, and put them right in our basket. I would NOT reccomend consigning with this store. I recently dropped off a large bag of various high end clothing items, I was told I'd be notified when they were finished sorting and due to the holidays, it may take a while. I was never notified. When calling later, they denied ever receiving any items. I'd consider this to be unscrupulous business practices, or borderline theft. I've tried this consignment store 3 times. They obviously take clothes with body odor as that's all I can smell when there.

Anna the manager is so very rude. The only time she was nice was when I sold a massive amount of NWT clothing there. Since then she has always been very sour and rude. She doesnt seems to understand that sales is a 2 way relationship. She needs buyers and sellers to have a strong business and the way she is treating people is terrible. Every time I am there she is telling someone that they cant return because they have offended her somehow. read more

So my friends and I decided to bring clothing to this business. After viewing the contents of the store, we felt our goods would be amazing. Well surprise, they have no taste. We bought items from: Saks, Jcrew, banana republic, high end shoes, and they took nothing. Yes we had a good laugh. Not to mention, the store smelted awful, and the associates working there were very matronly. Even the clothes were awful. It looked like someone throw -up Lilly Pulitzer!!!!!! We got more satisfaction, donating our items to GOODWILL....., At least they have taste..... Definitely not a store worth recommending. Too many other stores out there willing to talk to you, and offer assistance. read more

Absolutely shocking! I took 2 large totes and a carry-all full of clean and folded women's clothes here to sell. I had done business here before I was red-flagged aka "not allowed to sell here" Surely it was bcuz of a not-so-good review I had written 3 years ago. The manager/owner was very rude and would not discuss the reason why I wasn't allowed to sell to them. Aren't reviews supposed to be "helpful"? I did become agitated and was rather upset. I drove 40 minutes to get here and spent a very long time compiling my clothes before arriving. I will NEVER return here and feel this owner needs to compromise on business matters and become more honest with her customers. I had asked her several times to explain "why" and she wouldn't come clean. Very unprofessional! I would never recommend this store. I love this store! They are always so busy but I never mind waiting to see what treasures they keep. These are items I no longer want so I am never upset if they don't either, and being able to donate right there to a homeless shelter so it doesn't come back into my closet is even better. This was my first visit to the Clothes Mentor but it won't be my last. CM has a fantastic selection of name brands, especially Lilly Pulitzer. I found way more than I was expecting! It was hopping for a Monday afternoon. I found the prices to be a great value for name-brand items, it was such a pleasant surprise. Shoes, purses and accessories round out the offerings, everything was displayed nicely. My only comment was I wish they'd had all the plus sizes together. Otherwise it was well-organized and very enjoyable. Annabelle assisted us with our purchases and provided superb service. We joined the rewards club for future shopping excursions! Don't forget your cloth shopping bag, they are also trying to eliminate plastic bags for the environment. Can't wait for their Shopify site to open! read more

Don't complain about what they give you if they decide to purchase your items. They give you 25% to 30% of it's average retail price. They figure they are going to sell an item at about half the retail price, and they need to make money. That is an industry standard for anything you decide to sell 2nd hand. If you don't like what they pay you, just go somewhere else. read more

Inventory changes frequently and offers a variety of styles from trendy to casual to higher end labels (favorite purchase was an Armani blazer with tags ... paid $69). I brought in a large amt of designer jeans and other items for consignment consideration. My first impression was good. The store was cheery, nice selection of clothing, nicely displayed. Greeted by a very nice woman, but kept hearing comments from the owners son, Will, a snobby overindulged wannabe, that was making off color comments about the clothing I and others brought in. Originally when I spoke to them they said they offer 10% of original retail for the clothing they accept. I totaled the 10 items they wanted to buy (which totaled around $1200)... their offer of $53 cash or store credit was not accepted. They do have affordable items for purchase but they should keep that arrogant young man tucked away from the customers. read more

Visited this store while driving through. I really liked the selection they had. Didn't have much time to really look like I wanted to. The Ladies there were very nice. They had a huge selection of Lilly Pulitzer so if you like that brand, there's plenty of it. I think the prices were a little high on some items but the quality of the items made it for it I guess you can say. I will visit this store again when I'm passing through the area again. I very much like the family who owns this clothes Mentor but noticed they are giving much less to customers who are selling items. I bring in new items with tags and it's getting insulting how little they give me for things. O know they're in perfect condition and in style. Would just like to say I went to one of the most friendliest stores I've ever been in everybody there is so friendly and helpful. The clothes are so gorgeous and affordable that they have absolutely anything to dress up an outfit and go out of town looking your best. I first walked into the store and I had this sweet beautiful person Kaylee come up to me with a smile and helped me. Everyone in the store made me feel so good the place is so clean. i love to come here to sell my clothes but call before you go they refused a lot of my clothes the last time which were good brands and in style saying there was too much back stock after i drove 45 minutes from tampa and waited over 2 hours for them to go through my stuff. other than this trip the girls who run the store are nice and it is clean and they have taken things before from me that are of good quality which most of the selection is and they do a lot of social media which is great! read more

I have found a few things here that were clearly second-hand . Owner is friendly, store is very clean and organized. I was very disappointed in my recent clothing drop-off exchange however. Shoes worn 3-4 times not taken saying they showed too much wear. (They were 3-inch heels and hardly worn). Professional work dresses (Calvin Klein sleeveless shifts) in like new condition not taken saying they showed wear. They were each worn maybe five times. . I think the clothes actually weren't casual enough for this flip-flop wearing, Lilly-Pulitzer, capri and sandal-obsessed golf-cart driving community - they could've just said that. I did get $40 for what I thought were the worst things in my collection - mostly casual tops and belts from TJ Maxx. The good stuff they didn't take was all from Macy's. I did not leave the other things for them to donate (not giving them the tax write-off!). Oh well. I'll find a women's center who can use them to help other women. read more

Opps I did it again honey! ‍. First of all, this store is a MUST. From the moment you walk in, it smells like clean laundry and you are always nicely greeted going in. Ladies, I found two of the cutest Lilly dresses EVER. FYI, there is a hidden treasure room of LILLY only clothing in the back corner. Enter with caution. . So many cute cute things. They have a HUGE selection. I was stopped just yesterday at Publix by a woman who told me how beautiful I looked in my Lilly dress. I'd like to thank the Mom/daughter team (i apologize but don't know your names) for actually remembering me stopping in before my surgery a few months ago. Even remembering the style of dress I like. Who does that? And last but not least there was William, son of the owner rocking his Lilly MENS shorts. Who knew they made Mens clothing?
