First, the positives. The design process was excellent, Rachael the salesperson was helpful and responsive, and the final installation looks very good. But that's about all I have to say that's positive about this company, even though there is a preponderance of positive reviews here.
However, in our case...
The first installation was scheduled for Monday 4/9-Tuesday 4/10, about five weeks after we signed the contracts. But we were initially told the installation would take place in two to three weeks.
Then, on April 1 we were told that the installation needed to be pushed forward three weeks because some of the material hadn't been delivered.
That was a big thing.
So the installation actually took place the week of April 23, two full months after we contracted with this company. Even then, on the first day of the installation when we were told the installer would arrive between 9:30 and 11, he did not arrive until 12:15.
That was a small thing.
On the second day, he arrived just before 11, which is sort of late for this kind of job. But maybe that's just me.
That was a small thing.
The bottom shelves of the closet installation were delivered as shoe racks, when we had specified regular shelves. So he had to come back on Saturday with the correct shelves.
That was a big thing.
On the final day of the installation (Saturday), he brought the correct shelves but did not bring all of the drawer hardware.
Another small thing. They are mailing them to us.
Like I said, the installation itself was good and it all looks fine. But the delays, aggravation, and an almost complete absence of customer service and communication from anyone in the company aside from delay notifications and constant communication with our salesperson is, to me, inexcusable. It would have been worth it to spend the extra $1200 to go with the other choice and probably avoid the aggravation we went through. read more
