We've had a couple of antique clocks repaired recently. Both the service and value were great!

The Market - Jewelry items for the young fashionista on your Christmas list.

The Market

CUTE, CUTE, CUTE!…read more The market is an absolutely adorable home décor shop in the Calhoun Outlets. It is truly unique and a store that you must visit if visiting the outlets. I was immediately drawn in by the holiday décor which was warm and inviting and definitely captured the spirit of Christmas. There was something interesting for every aesthetic, (casual to more formal). If you are into sign art, this is your store! They had great signs with funny messages such as my favorite which said" I'm not bossy, I just know what you should be doing". I made sure that my husband read this one because he sometimes gets it confused. I also loved the one that said " I love you more today than yesterday. Yesterday you got on my nerves". Again, funny and something my husband and I both felt appropriate for our unique dynamic. In addition to the home décor section, you can find pet supplies, jewelry, clothing, greeting cards and great gift ideas. After visiting the homed décor section, you will want to wander over to the adjoining space where they have a women's boutique featuring maxi dresses, pants, tops, sweater wraps and accessories. This is a great little shop that offers great options if you are looking for a unique gift, home décor or just a special treat for yourself. ***I enjoyed the sounds of Christmas which were a mix of classic Christmas tunes and Christian songs. This is a Christian business, just so you know!

Great store, very creative inventory. Some one of a kind finds. I enjoy shopping at The market…read more The reason I didn't give this great store a 5 is because I feel like there are no sales representatives. Only high school students that run the register. Truly think they need someone knowing the products and promoting sales by sharing products and information on the products or people who created them.

*Actual ZERO star review* The items for sale here are mediocre at best. Literally everything in the…read morestore is overpriced compared to its actual value by atleast 150%. The store itself is labeled as an antique market, which I didn't see many antiques that are actually sought after and it's been that way each time I've been there (about 4 or 5 visits in around 2 months time). It's more of a boutique with booths that local people fill with stuff they either have made or just don't want anymore (like an indoor yardsale). The items we were even remotely interested in were not exactly what we were looking for but we could've made do for the right price, right? Well, every single thing I inquired about and asked if that was the best price possible I got the response "yes, that's the best price because that seller never comes down on price". I got this same response on multiple items throughout the store at different booths. Never a call to any seller like she stated in a response to my wife's review, just simply told "no, can't go lower." Again NOT A SINGLE CALL TO ANY SELLER WAS MADE. And the items I'm referring to, one was priced at 850 for an older looking (not antique, just not very new and possibly could have been repainted to look aged cause that's the vibe I got from it but not real antique looking) hutch and the other was 400 for a newer looking dining room table plus 150 for the bench to go with it. 550 for a used, modern table and chairs with bench. 800 gets you a brand spanking new one all chairs and also has a table leaf to make longer or shorter. So why spend 550 plus tax for a used one from and "antique market" and it's not even an antique... OK so on to her attitude. She was not even close to genuinely respectful or nice. Multiple times she smirked and made a face at a couple of the questions we asked and numerous times she sighed out of annoyance when asked if any prices were negotiable. Her attitude the entire time we were there was completely unprofessional. She acted as if we were getting on her nerves. Now onto the "brand new" pieces of furniture in the back. Not too sure how many different options as far as color and style were, but the big concern I had was the store has a no return policy that the store has INCLUDES THE BRAND NEW PIECES OF FURNITURE! This, to me, is unacceptable. I can't and wont agree with selling a BRAND NEW pc of furniture, and getting home and having an issue that you might want to return or even exchange for. Depending on type of item, most brand new purchases have some length of warranty, but nope, not Pintage. From lack of selection to scamming people by selling bra d new merchandise with a buy as is/no warranty or return agreement along with it. We definitely won't be back to this shithole. Looking back it seems like this place has progressively gotten worse each time we visited it, not only lately like I said like 4 or 5 times in the last 2 months or so but even since we first visited years ago and visits in between then and now. It's really gone down hill and is just about at the bottom now. Only thing I can think is maybe the booth rentals are so high that the sellers have to overprice everything and can't budge on price or the have negative profit when comes time to pay rent. Well if I'm anywhere near correct, I'd say her attitude towards a single customer Is potentially causing her sellers to lose sales and in the long run lose profit. And if she was that rude and disrespectful with us, I would imagine we haven't been the only ones. I also noticed in the last 24 hrs, her Google reviews have been flooded with 5 stars. She's washing away bad reviews to keep them unseen. FILTER your reviews people! Oh and yea, she loved the purse. I had to vomit immediately leaving your store, and it worked perfect, catching everything that came up and didn't leak a drop in our new car! So yes this is indeed got a high five review but it's gonna be a no for me. Zero stars, not five star review, like I said in beginning.

A fabulous find…read more.. This shop (a tad out of the way and located on a shady side street behind the Main Street area of downtown Calhoun) was actually recommended to my husband and myself by another local business owner. She thought I'd love it and probably be able to find something interesting for the house and she was right! This shop is filled wall to wall with scads of super cute home decor, accessories, boutique clothing g and jewelry. It has a little of this and that, in other words. It definitely my cup of tea and truthfully, I could have spent a fortune in here redecorating my place, but I showed restraint and curbed my impulse to shop a bit, so I would up picking up some moderately-priced decor items and let it go at that. I'm sure my husband was pleased by that! In the end, I grabbed some items with a distinct mercury glass motif and a candle. Everything was gorgeous, eclectic and most of it seemed moderately-priced, but the larger decorative accents and custom handbags were obviously pricier. The lady the owns the store was super nice and helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable. Next time I'm in town (my family lives nearby), I'll be certain to come back for another shopping trip and this time I'm gonna delve into the clothing and accessories section a tad more. It looked super eclectic when I scoped the racks, but my eye was drawn more to the decor side of the boutique. Though I didn't splurge that much on this trip, I did come away with some interesting ideas for redecorating and updating my house, so that's awesome. The store is a decorator's paradise chock full of great design inspiration. It felt like I walked into a layout for Domino or Elle Decor magazine. Great selections and first rate service.
