I feel like they have undergone a re-branding over the last couple of years, so this place may be totally different than what you remember from previous visits! Upon entry, the first thin you notice is the abundance of EVERYTHING. This place has so much merchandise from locally sourced candles, to figurines, clay pots, jewelry, furniture, dog toys and beyond. I will say that in addition to being impressed with their inventory, I quite liked the layout of the store. It flowed quite well from entry to exit! We were on the hunt for some antique furniture, but I will say that this place has less furniture and more ornamental/decorative antique items at this point - A lot of tchotchke's. However, I will say their locally created and sourced candle collection was right up our alley and so we left with two of those! Now, for the reason behind the 3 star review - The service. There were (3) gentlemen in this place during our visit and they were stand-offish and not very welcoming. Two were behind the main counter, with a cute little dog, and one was sitting behind the side counter where the pottery was stored. This fella who was by his lonesome never once looked up at us or acknowledged us as we wondered around. The two in the main area said hello upon us entering, and "thanks" at the end of the purchase, but honestly...it was all a little weird. For such a cute and bountiful store, the service was "meh" and this is probably why we won't go out of our way to get back here.

This shop (a tad out of the way and located on a shady side street behind the Main Street area of downtown Calhoun) was actually recommended to my husband and myself by another local business owner. She thought I'd love it and probably be able to find something interesting for the house and she was right! This shop is filled wall to wall with scads of super cute home decor, accessories, boutique clothing g and jewelry. It has a little of this and that, in other words. It definitely my cup of tea and truthfully, I could have spent a fortune in here redecorating my place, but I showed restraint and curbed my impulse to shop a bit, so I would up picking up some moderately-priced decor items and let it go at that. I'm sure my husband was pleased by that! In the end, I grabbed some items with a distinct mercury glass motif and a candle. Everything was gorgeous, eclectic and most of it seemed moderately-priced, but the larger decorative accents and custom handbags were obviously pricier. The lady the owns the store was super nice and helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable. Next time I'm in town (my family lives nearby), I'll be certain to come back for another shopping trip and this time I'm gonna delve into the clothing and accessories section a tad more. It looked super eclectic when I scoped the racks, but my eye was drawn more to the decor side of the boutique. Though I didn't splurge that much on this trip, I did come away with some interesting ideas for redecorating and updating my house, so that's awesome. I came upon this boutique by chance and stopped in on a whim after the shop was recommended to me by another store owner downtown. Actually, I'd passed by this charming little boutique several times and hadn't noticed that it's a boutique because it's actually located inside a converted old home in a combination residential/business area on a shady, tree-lined side street. Once I walked inside, I found so many cute things that I didn't know what to look at first, but I immediately spied a bunch of cute Paula Deen kitchenware/decor I tucked into one corner and I immediately made a beeline towards it. Elsewhere, my husband I found a big clearance/sale section located in another room and tons of eclectic decor items, including candles, pillows, pottery, glassware, some vintage pieces, plus racks of clothing and accessories and so much more. Every room of this old home was chock full of unique wares (don't think about not hitting the second floor-there's even more in store upstairs). Don't forget to stop in the bathroom, too, because most of the fragrances, lotions, cosmetics, and candles are in there! It smelled so good, it almost felt like a spa. Truthfully, I could have spent a fortune in here, though I managed to curb my inner shopaholic and pare down my purchases to a few items, including some Paula Deen pottery and a carved wood decorative knock knack. While some things were typical Chinese imported goods, I actually found plenty of Made in USA merchandise, including handmade box candles, pottery and accessories, which I was pleased to see. There was an Easter Egg scavenger hunt sale going on here (several downtown retailers participated- it was the week of Easter), so I grabbed a plastic Easter egg out of a bag to find out my store discount, which was 30% off my total purchase, so that was great. I signed up for their email list, too, so now I get notifications on special promotional events and sales. Customer service here was excellent, too. Overall, a great shopping experience.
