We really didn't want the traditional newborn poses and she came through with some great pictures that really reflected our personalities. For our second baby, she actually came to our home to capture our first days as a family of four. It was really nice to have her come to us, as this time around we had a rambunctious toddler. She is great with kids and our son instantly took to her. The images are really gorgeous and sweet; we couldn't be happier. Jessica has a warm personality and a great eye for detail. She is creative in her approach to family photography and has a talent for capturing those beautiful moments.

First, she books back to back with no flexibility in between sessions. Our session ended abruptly with only a 3 minute warning. We were rushed. She also lacked directing styles becuase she pointed to a spot and told us to stand there with no guidance on how to pose. We ended up with shots that were akward since she didn't really tell us where to stand. We aren't professional models so we do need guidance. We've had experiences with other photographers and she just seemed like a novice to us. We took pictures with our 8 month old at the time and she didn't even try to engage our daughter to look at the camera or smile. We felt very uncomfortable with her from the start and it only got worst when all of the sudden she said "we're done" and proceeded to walk away from us while another family was waiting for her nearby. We were left standing asking each other "what just happened? or is she coming back?" Most photographers we've worked with space their sessions with minimum 30 minutes gap. With Jessica, there was no gap. You literally felt like you were being cattled to spots then stand and smile. We got our pictures later than what was promised and she blamed it on our spam filter for the delay. Again, since we got the Groupon rate, we feel like we got what we paid for. However, I would not consider hiring her again or recommending her to anyone after our session. She should have used the Groupon rates as an opportunity to build reputation and clientele by offering the introduction session. However the way she managed her schedule and session, made it a preview for us to NOT consider her for any future sessions. The only consolation to this was that we did get our pictures in time for the holidays and we only paid $50. Other than that, we've had better.

We felt strongly about having a secular ceremony, and Donna honored and assembled a thoughtful ceremony reading based on our input. Before the wedding, Donna made time to have a rehearsal with out, which was really helpful. On the wedding day, she showed up on-time and worked with our witnesses to get our license signed. Donna was amazing and took care of all the arrangements with Rebecca, so we didn't have to worry about coordinating, it was all handled for us. She checked out various sites until she found the perfect one that was exactly what we had wanted. She made sure we knew the process of getting a license ahead of time, organized the timing of arrival, ceremony, etc. She even dealt with rescheduling us twice due to rain, always with a smile and reassurance for us. Donna also provided many pre-written ceremonies and vows for us to choose from and let us modify them to make them our own. She even made gorgeous little vow booklets with our vows, for us to keep as mementos. Rebecca took stunning photographs, before, during, and after the ceremony. She made sure to get many different poses, candid and staged, and included the ocean view and cliffs that we had requested. We ended up with around 150 high quality photos, and she provided them in a gallery we could share with people, and also downloadable in hi-res for printing and sharing online. Donna and Rebecca helped us achieve exactly the wedding we had hoped for, and left us with keepsakes and photos to look back on forever; I highly recommend them!

Carol was such a gem of a discovery. We weren't sure if we were going to have a friend to…read more'officiate' our wedding since we already had done our civil ceremony. We figured we'd just repeat a few words for the sake of a ceremony and move on... BUT THEN! We found Carol - the sweetest, caring reverend who added so many ornate intricate details to the ceremony and made it extra special for all guests. ** THE LEAD UP ** Carol spent time getting to know us personally, something not all officiants do. She also gave us homework that made us feel vulnerable with each other, and that made us feel closer together. I always thought couples counseling was for people who had issues, but it turns out you can feel closer together even when you didn't think it was possible! ** THE CEREMONY ** Carol was able to suggest things like a candle lighting, and chiming of a spiritual bowl in the beginning, but also added some lighthearted funny jokes within her speech. She brought our families closer together during the ceremony, and a found a way to get everyone involved when I thought originally it would just be my husband and I going down the aisle. Everyone was so touched by the ceremony, they mentioned this was certainly the highlight of the night -- many friends who have hearts of stone were moved and even teared up. :) Glad we were able to touch the hearts of all our friends and family with the help of Carol. TLDR: Carol is truly amazing, brings spiritual elements and families closer together when you didn't think you could be any closer. I cannot wait to meet up with Carol again.
