Don't get me wrong, they do great work and can take of all your framing needs, but their customer service is despicable. I work for a business who has done lots of work with these guys. We typically asked to be invoiced so that our finance department can track payments and accounts. The net turnaround time is (and has always been) 30-45 days. No matter how often I/we have explained this to Rochester Picture Framing, they will call you incessantly to try and get payment. And, to boot, they are very rude about it. This last time was the last straw for us. We will no longer be doing business with RPF ever again. It's not worth the harassing phone calls.

I spent a week trying various software and hardware fixes on my own before having the sense to bring it to Microworx, where they pretty much instantly diagnosed and fixed the problem. I was impressed by how carefully and thoughtfully the technician listened to my explanation of exactly what the symptoms were, which of course might have had something to do with why he was able to repair everything so effectively. Beyond that, they left me an incredibly detailed voicemail message explaining exactly what had caused the problem and how to fix it if it ever happens again. Beyond that, when I got home I discovered that my entire computer (keyboard, screen, etc) was cleaner than I ever remember seeing it. Beyond that, the price was extremely reasonable, and less than they had led me to expect. I had a terrible experience here 20 years ago and have refused to patronize them since. Of course all of the personnel are different now, and I am so glad I finally gave them another chance. I am absolutely delighted with this place.

I have been a long-time customer of Whelplye & Paul for many years at the Greece location. I…read morerecently called the Webster office--not the general appointment line--to schedule a visual field test. I specifically asked whether this test was provided and was told yes. Based on that information, I made the appointment, waited nearly three weeks, took time off work, and drove 25 miles one way, only to be informed upon arrival that I first needed an eye exam and that they would then decide whether to schedule a visual field test approximately three weeks later. This important detail was never communicated to me when I called and clearly explained what I needed. I am extremely disappointed with this lack of communication and the inconvenience it caused.

Surprisingly, they had a couple of openings that evening and told us to come right in. They only work with older children at this location but were quick to give us their recommendation for someone nearby that also takes our insurance and is great with younger kids, and then fit my husband and me in right away. The Optometrist here is probably the nicest Optometrist I've visited, and in 30 years of wearing glasses and/or contacts, that is saying a lot. Eye exams are pretty routine and a lot of Doctors breeze on through but he was very thorough and kind. The optician asked me what styles I like and made recommendations based on what I asked him and stuck within what my insurance covered when I wanted to stay under that limit (I primarily wear contacts, so these glasses are replacing a much older pair with an outdated script that I only wear at home in the evenings) and did not try to upsell me. I managed to find a pair of glasses that were similar to my old pair but that I like better. Finally the woman at the front desk was amazing, not only was she super friendly and kind, but she was kind to my kids and made us feel right at home while waiting. We have definitely found our new Vision Care "home".

I sent in several rolls of 35mm for e-6 and c-41 processing. I asked for the e-6 to be mounted…read more The e-6 came back unmounted. Not really a big deal since I was not charged for it. What I found after inspecting my negatives and slides was the truly atrocious part. The negatives were filthy. I do not mean that the outside the plastic negative sleeve was dirty, but inside. There was a ton of dust, some sort of hair (animal?) and some sort of dried liquid on the negatives. Also a lot of the negatives and slides had scratches on them. I thought it might be from my camera but it is on some of them, and not on others, and the scratches are not similar. The actual processing seemed ok, but the level of filthiness was a joke. Look elsewhere for your processing needs, unless you enjoy dirty, scratched up negatives and slides.

The most recent batch of film came back super clean - C-41 and black and white sheet film. He also was proactive and polite about correcting an issue with the order. For sheet film, you can't beat the nitrogen burst processing used at Praus Productions. P.S. I would read Godzilla's other reviews before putting to much weight on the one posted here....
