My 80 year old husband and I indulged and bought a stunning sectional sofa , with a wood frame for our seasonally used home in Florida From this store. Within the first few months it sagged. After the second season the 'bend' was noticeable. I contacted CLIVE DANIELS and an 'inspector ' came during our third season. He found the sofa fabric looked new and showed no signs of wear. However the FRAME WAS CRACKED IN TWO PLACES. NOTE:A good wood sofa frame can last 10-20+ years before cracking, with hardwood frames (oak, maple) potentially going 20+ years, while softer woods (pine) might last 10-15 years, but ...poor quality frames ... might fail in 3-5 years. CLIVE DANIELS ONLY WARRANTIES PURCHASES FOR A YEAR and insists it was due to our abuse. THE sofa was sat on LESS THAN a dozen times in the course of our ownership. We have no young children, or grandchildren. There was never any, jumping, flopping or abuse of the sofa. This was the second visit to C|D and one at which I was seriously considering making purchases. I had already been to Robb & Stuckey and Sklar, and had specific items I was interested in seeing. We were greeted by David P., who quickly made me aware he was a designer and was available to help me. I explained that we (my male partner/spouse) wanted to walk around a bit and asked for his card. His response, I thought, was a bit odd "I'm not a car salesman, I'm not going to immediately SHOVE a card in your face", to which I replied "ok, how about you just HAND me your card so I have your name and I know who to ask for when I have questions." And that, fellow Yelpers, was the BEST part of the interaction. As we walked around, we would have David suddenly appear, making statements about the number of items available which were not on the floor, asking where we lived, and then it happened - I found a piece I was interested in and I asked "do you have a spec sheet and a tape measure?" And he gave me an odd look and replied "why do you need a spec sheet?" And I replied "so I have all the details", and he replied "are you a designer?" To which I replied "no, YOU are, I'm the potential customer". Frankly, he was tacky, and I don't use that phrase lightly. Bottom line, we found three pieces we were interested in, and as we leaving, David P. Was chatting with the greeter/receptionist and I asked, holding my iPhone in hand "can I have spec sheets on these pieces and can you check inventory and let me know lead times on delivery", to which he replied, as he looked at the photos on the iPhone, "why do you need spec sheets, you have the photos of the pieces and their prices". I then responded "ok, thank you for your help, and yes, I'm being facetious, as you didn't help at all." It was toward the end of the day. The store was almost empty. This experience was bizarre to me. This interior designer was obnoxious, inconsiderate, dismissive, and by his attitude and demeanor, caused me to conclude "I'm not returning here, even if I found the exact pieces I want to buy. They earned this rating and my assessment. I'm sure they have outstanding Furniture, designers and sales reps, as they've been in business about 2 years. We surely didn't meet one on this occasion. Clive Daniel doesn't have the market on products, they have good real estate. Showroom is decent. They have a variety of things on hand that you can buy right there. Now you will pay for that when it comes time to buy your products and you should if enjoy over paying for items you can find 10-40% less expensive elsewhere (anecdotal experience). They obscure the actual brands which of course makes it more difficult to price shop. I recognized a number of the items we are looking for and they were a lot more expensive than other places. read more

We were on our way home in a major Florida downpour as we passed Clive Daniel. It was late, but we had a half hour free. We had been wanting to stop in, as we still, after 3 years in Florida, need to furnish our living room. The store has been open since January 2016. We didn't know if the store was open to the public or only to designers. We decided to stop in to find out. What a find!! Not only do they have an enormous selection of beautiful furniture on 2 floors, they also have very knowledgeable designers (not just sales staff) to help you every step of the way! They will even come to your home to help with a design (for a fee of course). The furniture is not inexpensive, but it is beautiful! (This is not Rooms to Go or City Furniture). Come here for the special designer finds! We had photos of our living room, along with a floor plan & measurements of our room with us. Fran walked us around the store pointing out furniture that she felt would look good in our space. She got a good idea of our taste in furniture. She was very helpful, guiding us toward things that would truly work beautifully in our space! She took us into the enormous design room, showing us a large selection of books of furnishings and fabrics also available for purchase. She was wonderful! We've set up an appointment with her, when we all have more time. HMMM .. Let me start by saying i never speak badly, i put up with almost anything. C/D did a great job of putting things together. I spent a lot of $$$$ with them, that part was satisfactory. There attention to detail and length of time to complete is/was ridiculous. It has been around 2 years or more. One could say "covid" but this should have all been taken care of prior to Covid... and i am still not complete, i still have cabinets with overspray on them other cabinets have blemishes on them and cracks. Picture is not hung, pool table not balanced on carpet, pieced together tile, where they cut it short. It seems if you are into detail, don't use them. I have promise after promise after promise .. with really no follow-up. They are all very nice and they mean well. I was extremely satisfied with working with Michael Blum. What a pleasant fellow and very helpful from start to finish. He made sure that he attended all my needs. I bought two occasional chairs and the store was also so accommodating with all the details i.e. the set ups with delivery, the set up for fiber shield, up until the time it was already delivered into my home and replaced the tips below the four legs, because I didn't like the squeaks from moving the chairs around on my bearing floor.. no questions asked. The delivery mean we're so courteous also. These chairs were extremely expensive, a real splurge on my part, but I really fell in love with them and was truly lucky Michael and staff ( Nancy also!) we're all great!!! read more

Clive Daniel is the worst. First, you can find the same furniture online for one third the cost. Once they get your money, the customer service is zero. For your information, Clive is the former owner of Robb and Stucky. After they went bankrupt several years ago, and cheating customers and vendors out of a lot of money, they came back with a new name. Their so called decorators have zero ability. Don't pay 10,000 dollars for a sofa at Clive Daniels- saw the same one online for 2,000. And a friend bought a bedroom set at Clive Daniel, told it would arrive in 10 weeks, but it took 7 months. After an at times frustrating nine-month online and in-store search, we had the good fortune of discovering the Clive Daniel store in Boca Raton. We immediately met Bobby Murr and gave him a brief description of our taste and particular design needs. Without hesitation Bobby brought us to the rug section and began his search for a specific area rug. As soon as we saw it, we knew it was the perfect rug. Our only concern was would it go with other furniture selections we had already made. Bobby literally and figuratively went above and beyond. He loaded his car with the rug and went with us to place the rug against the other furniture. Bobby later went the full distance and came to our home to supervise the installation. We could not have been more pleased. Since then we have been back to the Clive Daniel store several times to check out new products and to complete our design concept. Each time Bobby has taken our input and suggested and/or confirmed selections based on our discussions and his knowledge of our home. Equally as assuring as the advise we have been given, we always feel confident that whatever we purchase is of the highest quality. Additionally, Clive Daniel has a large and changing selection of items that certainly meet our design preferences. Clive Daniel will clearly be our first choice in all of our future design needs from accessories to larger design projects. Also, we feel as though we have both an expert and friend in Bobby. My sales rep was Christina Butler, she was very quick to take my credit card and told us the our sofa would be in within 30 days ( sept 2021) every month we get pushed back 30 days, now the sofa will not be in until April 2022. My designers, Charlie and Rebekah did a wonderful job from start to finish in designing my condo. They worked through the construction stage to help with tile, flooring ceiling beams decor and built-ins. The furniture choices are great. They were excellent. I would recommend them highly to anyone undertaking a new construction project or remodel. They do it all. However my complaint is this.....When they checked my furniture at the warehouse before delivery they missed some major issues? My credenza was special ordered. They missed major defects!. One of the interior drawers was painted a different color. The doors to the credenza did not open wide enough two allow the two interior drawers to slide open. I was told they saw this and said that is the way it was built. NO, NO. This is not the way it should be! It should be fully operable. This was a very pricey piece of furniture and it should have been noted on the warehouse floor and we should have been told about it. But pricey or not, the credenza should be functional. Some lighting fixtures came with the bulb screw socket crooked. My electrician called in senior technician. Speaking of lighting, the lamps chosen by Charlie and Rebekah were beautiful. But the bulbs provided should have been an embarrassment. Either the ordering department doesn't know bulbs or they were trying to save a few dollars. They sent me "tiny" little 2 inch round, one way incandescent bulbs. These lamps required 3 way LED bulbs. That is what a lighting store would have given me. I went to my favorite lighting store and purchased new bulbs myself. While the store and many of the item in the store are beautiful, my issue is with the rude staff. I can offer 3 examples, each with different staff/ management. 1st time I went to the store was around December of 2021. We met a lovely man who was going to do a house call. He never showed up to our appointment. Then rescheduled twice, and still never showed up. Next experience was up one arrival last week ( June). I was assigned a woman to help me up arrival, she was great and had some wonderful ideas. However she only had 25 minutes because she has to leave for a house call. I was then told she can't leave until I leave. ( now I'm a little annoyed because I'm feeling pressure to hurry and annoyed). I say " I will leave the store and then come back so you are not in trouble, and then I can come back and take my time). I'm thinking I'll leave for 5 minutes or something stupid like that. She leaves. About 10 minutes go bye and a woman who works there is kind of watching me and checks in to see if I'm working with someone. ( lol technically yes but not really ‍) I tell her yes. Besides I see her working with a woman. She then ask me again if I need help, I say " okay I do have a question if you have a moment " she says yes. I ask her about a console table, she then begins to tell me I need a designer and that's why people like me get overwhelmed and you don't know what your are doing, Plus a few other nasty digs. I found her attitude worst of all. The reason is because I'm pretty sure she was a manager and she was just mean. It was so weird. I have been extremely dissatisfied with the service I received from 3 different people. Just terrible. The designer came out an measured about three weeks prior to me coming to the store to see what they had designed for my home... When I arrived they had a black and white floor plan with a furniture lay out... but nothing was selected. I basically did all the work myself, my mission was to purchase a dining room, bedroom and living room in addition to the 6k rug. So we spend two hour selecting the living room, and then immediately when I said, yes they were pulling out the paperwork to order... I was not even done at 20K.... She said we would do the rest later, that was okay I had already decided that I was not going to do business for the rest. Today is month 3, and I am still awaiting a cocktail table and decor. It is truly a beautify place, but the service and design work was less than desirable.. Love the store but the design and delivery services is not up to scale for the prices you pay.... My wife and I just bought a new home and we walked in with the plans and samples hoping to find someone who could help us buy a few pieces that would fit with the floorplan. This is not our first rodeo but the SALES WOMEN that we encountered were PATRONIZING SNOBS! No one came over to offer their help, but each time we stopped to look at a piece, a sales woman would stop and comment. We were without a doubt being watched walking through the store, it was a creepy feeling! I stopped to look at a table to see if it would go with our floor (I had a sample with me) and one sales woman came over and instead of answering my question when I asked her the name of the manufacturer, she criticized our choice of flooring. Her answer about the manufacturer was "I don't know". But maybe worse than these arrogant and egotistical sales women, who know nothing about design (they're merely sales people) is Clive Daniel's LUDICROUSLY OVERPRICED furniture. One fabric covered swivel chair (in the lowest grade fabric) was $6,500 and the matching 3 seat sofa was $29,000.
