There are things I like and things I don't like. Bad news first. They try to keep you with the same…read moregroomer which can be good, but it does make it harder to get an appointment because you have to wait for your groomer to call you back. I haven't experienced the rudeness that has been shared in review from other patrons, but they are very busy so they tend to sacrifice some niceties in favor of efficiency. I've found that they are super nice though if I start with an acknowledgement of how busy they are, or a compliment on my baby's last haircut. The good news is that they are conveniently located, they make the best effort to get you an appointment that works with your schedule, they are reasonably priced, and I haven't ever been unhappy with the results. Pricing was a big issue for me because I have a poodle that needs to be groomed more often. At other salons, I could only afford twice a year, and I was doing a home haircut in between. Needless to say that was not my baby's best look. At this salon, I feel like I can call and make an appointment when my baby needs it, and not worry about the price. So I've bumped him up to three haircuts a year, and I'm thinking about making it four and just scheduling them ahead to avoid the rush of trying to get him in at a convenient time.

My rating is based on my multiple interactions and visits to the salon. I first called based on a recommendation of a groomer by a friend. I called and asked to be scheduled with the specific person, and was told they are bookEd but this other groomer can help you. The phone was given to a young lady who was in training/trained at this groomer/school. After discussing my dogs and what was needed, I scheduled to bring my puppy in for their puppy package. It included four visits, one a week to help get your puppy exposed to the groomer and the different tools and experiences. I asked several times what the package included and what services would happen each time and was not able to get a clear explanation. I took my pup in each time, and got back a happy, clean, fluffy dog. On one visit I ran into the owner and chatted with her asking for a better explanation of the services in the puppy package and she obliged. I made the suggestion that they provide that to prospective customers so it is better understood. Several months later I brought both my dogs in for a grooming. I was lucky enough to drop them off when the owner was there and chatted with her about the services, and what to expect. She was able to give clear expectations and timing on when they would be done. When I went to pick them up, one of the students helped me check out, not the groomer I scheduled with. They both were returned to me happy, fluffy, and clean. they both looked nice. Overall I like this groomer. I think the owner is very nice, knowledgeable, and provides good customer service and seems to genuinely care. I would happily schedule to have my dogs groomed by the owner anytime. The groomer that I was given to does nice work, but could expand her communication and customer service skills. The prices seem to fluctuate based on their visual opinion at the time of grooming. My 3.5 rating of okay plus in lieu of a 5 star is based upon: - Asking for a particular groomer and being pushed off on a student. - The lack of clear/concise communication. - The luke warm customer service from the groomer. - the fluctuating pricing. This location does a good grooming, and the puppy package is a great idea! Over all I am glad that we did the puppy package and my dogs were happy, fluffy, and clean!

They keep the dogs in bathrooms sometimes. They won't include it in their photos, but a lot of the potty yards are just straight gravel in this tiny cages with no where to move. When they do get a full yard to themselves it's for maybe two minutes. Give my dog more time to roam in a yard, or build bigger potty yards. The employees and owner are extremely two faced. Paris specifically is extremely rude. The owner treated my sister like garbage when she worked there. She will degrade you and make you feel really stupid over the smallest stuff. Our mother died when my sister was employed there and she literally offered to give my sister two weeks off, she only took one. Then proceeds to say this.... " you didn't come in so you can 'grieve' " in quotations. As if she's lying about our mom dying. Another thing that's weird is she gets extremely mad if an angle of a photo is wrong. My sister said one time she accidentally got the porch in the back of the picture and got yelled at by three different people about it. Why are you trying to hide stuff in your photos? Why do you only want photos taken in front of certain things? It sounds like you're trying to hide stuff from the public. This facility is ghetto. they make everything pretty and clean online. Everyone seems nice to your face. The dogs are kept up in kennels most of the day, even being let out they're kept in a kennel. If you're looking for your dog to be out of its cage and being taken care of all day, go to crate escapes or ultimate canine. They also have add on services, as well as stay and train, daycare, boarding, k9/police dogs. The staff at UC is also professionally trained and knows how to handle dogs that are aggressive and/ or fights/ attacks. My sister has told me about the behind the scenes, and yikes. Employees are only paid 14/hr and they bust their ass. I'm also 90% sure that the groomer is unlicensed. The owner also lives right next door and just lets her dogs and cats roam, which is not safe and just waiting for an accident to happen. The only thing that's "real" that you're actually getting your moneys worth here is the nature walks. You are actually having your dog walked on a nice path outside. Other than that everything is just done up extra for the photos this place is a joke and the fact that it's been open this long with no complaints is insane. Either she's deleting all of the bad reviews or she's extremely good at putting on a front to the public.

The groomer (well the one we had) was pleasant and professional. My dog always came home looking very nice. I am a busy mom of 7, a wife and a nurse. I missed an appointment we had as I forgot one of my children had a school concert to attend on a Saturday. I called the Katies once I realized I had missed the appointment to apologize and reschedule. The receptionist asked me to hold on. Then a lady got on the phone and immediately said, "This is Katie, are you not able to bring in your dog?" I stated I was not able to and explained why and apologized for not being able to. She than said are you aware of the cancellation fee? I stated I was not and had not been told about that. Very rudely she said the fee is the price of the cut. I was a little floored about this, but said okay, and asked if it is charged with the next cut. She continued to be very rude as if this was something I did all the time and told me that I would need to prepay for all the appointments moving forward. She didn't give a courtesy, she didn't say yes, you will need to pay a double charge next time, she was very rude. I told her thank you and hung up. She will NOT get another $$ of my hard earned money again. Zero customer service and she sounded like a mad hatter the way she was talking. I hope she doesn't treat all customers and employees like that.
