My family and I took a long road trip from New Jersey to visit Thai. Lets just say about 6 hour drive and battling I95 traffic. Although we stayed overnight, its a long way from New Jersey. My son who saw Thai's videos on Instagram and TikTok was very impress with the haircuts he had given to his clients. He wanted a blowout taper haircut. He was not able to find someone in our area that could do this so here we are. It was part of his Christmas gift so that's why we drove that far. At the end my son was happy with the haircut he got from Thai. His attention to detail was excellent and very impressed with his work. My son is 18 at this time of the review and he felt comfortable with someone who is young but experience on the haircut he wanted. The haircut is pricey but you pay for top quality barber. Just wish he was a bit closer for us. read more

We're coming through from NJ to see Thai Nguyen. My son, 18, had some bad experience with barbers and he followed Thai on social media for quite some time, loved the special haircut. My husband and I decided to book a trip to Richmond (yes, we drove the 6 hours night before the appointment) during xmas week and gifted our son his glow up haircut. Thai really is the barber you want to see and we just wished he's closer to NJ. He is very meticulous with his work. It's no wonder he is booked on appointments for months. Now the challenge is for us to find someone who can cut like him in Jersey for when our son's hair grows out. Definitely recommend Thai and yes, we're coming back whenever we can make it out to VA. read more

Thai was such a true professional and meticulous in his style and ensured that the final outlook of the cut was to my satisfaction. He was humble, patient, and kind. A skilled technician of barber mastry. Great job all around. Nice shop and good customer service. Be mindful that if booking through Booksy and visiting the area the street name is different than some of thr other local roads that have "hundred" in the name. Although I was running late, I did get a check in call which was great. As an area outsider it may be confusing. Take note of where to park on the side of the building. Finally found a barber our teen likes! Got a complicated cut right and it makes him so happy.

I live in DC. I hate to say it....but I haven't found a single barbershop that can execute a flawless burst fade AND curly cut, AND cut a mohawk...without: 1) making me look like a boy 2) giving me the most unwelcome, unwanted mullet 3)making it look like an elementary school student executed my cut. So I was on the HUNT. Listen, my vanity knows no distance parameter. I'll do what I need to do. I was moments away from booking a flight back to my previous state just to go get my damn haircut...and that's when I stumbled on Nguyen. FLAWLESS. I (non creepily) observed this man as he worked on the client before me. He is FOCUSED. He's paying attention to detail, he is executing his craft. When I popped up for my appointment, he was so welcoming and friendly. Very approachable. I am NOT the best at describing what I want, but for someone who is clueless on terminology, boooy do I know how to talk a lot about what I like and don't like. Patience of a GOD this man has. First of all...a barber that knows how to fade, edge, line you up...FLAWLESSLY AAAAAAAAAND cut your damn hair too?? And not just your damn hair, but your damn, curly hair?? Done. Take all my money. I WILL be driving here every 6 weeks for the 2 hr drive so that I can get my hair done by this fellow. He can do it all!!! Ok about the shop. This is the exact vibes you want in a shop. Funny, chill, hilarious men just cutting it up with clients, regulars, and one another. Good music playing. Impeccably designed shop. Now one hilarious thing that I wasn't expecting, is when my very, dressed in all black, leather pant clad, service dog toting, silver earrings of upturned middle fingers walked in...no exaggerating, the shop went from laughing and chatting...to straight silence. And for one teeny tiny second I was like...oh nooooo, is this one of those shops that doesn't really welcome women? I've gotten my hair cut all around the world and in the US and have been to my fair share of ppl making me feel like an alien for being in a primary male-space shop. But this wasn't that vibe AT ALL. I honestly think that I can have an intense look and it took em' of guard for a second lol. One of the guys, about 10 min later was like--you have an appt? I nodded and smiled and he said, "I know we didn't say anything when you walked in..." y'all I cracked up. Not for one second, even with the silence, did I feel unwelcomed. And that's bc these guys are all heart and kindness. Legit. And at the end they were all saying how great my cut looked. And they weren't lying bc Nguyen did his THING. I watched as every single person walked out with just BEAUTIFUL, stunning, Soooooooooo sickly good fades and cuts. Ugh!! Chefs kiss!! Come here. Drive here. It is WORTH ITTTTT. Oh!! And I noticed another woman come in after me too!! So they DEFINITELY have female clientele. read more

Stay away from this place if you're a person of color or a person of culture. This is the worst haircut I have ever gotten in my life. It is down right embarrassing and the fact that I had to pay $40 to look like this should be a crime. This place has untrained barbers that clearly do not know what they are doing. I asked for a skin tight fade and I left looking like I had a cancer treatment. When you leave the barber you should be looking fresh and have a renewed confidence. I left feeling ashamed and embarrassed. So many patches, uneven, not blended. Opposite of what makes a great haircut. I blame the owner for hiring untrained people and also blame the other barbers for not stepping up and letting me leave like that. Mortified and very disappointed. I made sure to air my grievance with all the barbers. Stay away from this place and take your business elsewhere. This ain't the place for me so I know it can't be the place for you. read more

The gentleman in this establishment are kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and so welcoming. I came in with my two boys (4, 7 yo) for a last minute hair cut for pictures with Santa this weekend. I had read on our community page that a single mother was in need, for her boys to get hair cuts desperately because of bullying in school. This small business reached out to help. As a mom of four, this was such a generous act of kindness that I wanted to support THIS small business instead of the franchise we had been going to. I'm BLOWN AWAY with my boys' hair cuts. So much so that I managed to get my grumpy husband to get his hair cut too! All three of my men, tall and small look as sharp as knives. HIGHLY recommend Clippers 3.0. If you're looking for a barber shop with barbers that know how to properly do modern cuts, look no further. I've struggled to find shops that have had me leave exceeding my expectations but today I had to stop and look in a mirror and just say "dam". Thai was my go-to barber, had an appointment and we started early. He got an idea of exactly what I wanted and put the effort and time in to deliver and make sure it was something I was happy with before ending off. Today was my brother's first time going. He said he loved the look of the place, said it felt very futuristic and was quiet which he liked. His barber Hassan was very nice and talkative, definitely seemed like he knew what he was doing. His hair looks great, very clean lines and everything is straight and even.
