Just moved to the area and my son needed to get his hair cut. We were really hesitant and not sure because we have gone to places and have gotten bad cuts and bad service. We walked in and were greeted immediately. We asked if there was anyone available on a walk-in basis and a nice older gentleman by the name of Demetrius offered to cut my sons hair since we didn't have an appointment. He listened to how my son wanted his hair cut and took his time and didn't rush and did an excellent job. Not an awful hair cut but certainly not the best. The place is called razor shop... I didn't have a razor taken to my head? At $25 for the cut plus then a tip, I expect more than an okay haircut. With that... I'm out. I know I'm gonna hear "you pay for what you get blah blah", but I lived in NYC and Miami before this and the most I paid was $19. $19 for a perfect 10/10 haircut. Good place to get a cut, clean, plenty of seating, LCD tv's tuned to ESPN and always lots of barbers. Most are appointment only but I was not turned away on my first visit and I have not seen any new customer refused service I have been a getting groomed there. I heard about this barber shop/salon from my brother-in-law who is in the military, so I came to check it out, because he's the type of person that's very particular with his haircut, and he liked the haircut he received here. My very first visit was a good experience even though I didn't get a haircut. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and although everyone was busy cutting hair, Chris, the owner and a licensed barber, quickly noticed my presence and notified me that they're completely booked for the day. Chris asked me if I can come back, and since I was in no rush of getting a haircut, I made the appointment for another day. When I came back for the haircut, I didn't wait long to get the "Razor Sharp" service. I was 100% satisfied with the haircut. And by far, the best haircut I've received in a decade! So yesterday after three weeks, I had my second haircut at Razor Sharp, and once again, I was 100% satisfied! From now on, this will be the only place I will get a haircut from, as long as I'm residing in the area (Virginia). A couple other things I liked about this place other than the great haircut was that the barbers were very professional, they interact with you, making you feel welcomed and the "no profanity" sign that's posted everywhere. Prices are ridiculous. 15 dollar hair cut, okay that's fine, but 5 dollars for an appointment? Then 2+ for fades? I'm from the Chicago area and there's plenty of barber shops I've visited that offer great service at a decent price. read more
