They do a good job bathing and clipping my dog. He always comes back happy. I just wish the teeth cleaning service wasn't so expensive.

Disappointing for two reasons: bad smell and uncaring staff. Our dog did get washed and dried but we won't use them again.

White Rock Pet Grooming

I'm so so so happy that I feel like I could cry. On their 2nd try, these guys were able to do an…read more*amazing* job on my super hyper mini schnauzer puppy. 7 weeks ago I brought him in, and they weren't able to do much--but honestly that is not their fault. This little bubba is on a whole other level when he gets too excited, making things like grooming & vet visits nearly impossible. No groomer would be able to handle him safely & humanely when he's like that. This salon is awesome because they don't believe in forcing the puppies to comply. They really want it to be a good experience for them. Afterward, I discussed this with the vet (who was also having a hard time controlling him) and we decided to give him a little more time to grow up, a bunch of intense exercise, and some mild Rx calming meds to see if it would help. Recently I've been getting so desperate to get him a full groom because it's been getting so hot outside & he just looks miserable when we go out. So I held my breath & made another appointment @ White Rock. After seeing my request, the owner, Chris, called me and was so so patient and kind, listening to my plight and explaining what they'd try to do and also explaining any limitations. This time, after a few hours of playing at doggy daycare and some calming meds, he was calm enough to act like a "normal" puppy instead of over the top crazy hyper like he normally is. So I brought him in. Chris came to the front to meet my little guy and talk to me to make sure that we were on the same page about expectations. I felt really good when I left, knowing that they'd do everything they could and not traumatize him....but knowing how CRAZY my puppy acts, I still had my doubts. When they called me two hours later to say they were finishing up & that I could come get him, I kept my hopes VERY low just in case. But I was SO pleasantly surprised to hear that they were able to do a *perfect* full groom on him. I really almost cried from relief! My little buddy came out from the back of the salon looking SO clean and SO handsome and acting so calm and happy, wagging his tail and looking 15 lbs lighter. I can't stop hugging & petting & admiring him...he's carrying himself differently. I can tell he feels sooo much better. He honestly looks amazing, and is currently passed out snoring from all the excitement. Highly recommend this groomer. I'll be back very regularly.

I've used Paw Lofts for boarding and trusted them with my dog Maisie, but after this most recent…read morestay I'm really disappointed. While I can only assume my dog enjoys daycare and boarding, as the facility has no cameras, I have trusted Paw Lofts and recommended to friends many times. Every time I drop her she seems happy. Unfortunately, Maisie was boarded there last week and also received a bath and nail trim on Thursday. Once I got her home I noticed that one of her nails had been cut all the way to the quick -- her paw was actually bloody and there was dried blood matted onto the fur. Then on Saturday while she was playing at home, she bumped that same nail and it started GUSHING blood again. I had to rush to stop it with quick stop powder. This has never happened to her before. She obviously is a dog and doesn't love nail trims, but I have a hard time believing she was acting so out of control that this was unavoidable, she's pretty sweet and I grind her nails myself at home -- When I called to express my dissatisfaction, I was told they don't even use clippers, but a Dremel, which is specifically supposed to prevent this type of injury. That means they must have been grinding her nails aggressively for it to get this bad... I hate that she was clearly in pain and nobody told me or acknowledged it at pickup -- I only discovered it once we were home. I'm including a photo of her sad face that evening when we were having to hold a bandage over her bleeding toe. I have trusted this facility in the past, but transparency and gentle handling are non-negotiable when it comes to grooming. This shouldn't have happened and in the off chance it does I would have appreciated notification, an apology, and probably even a comped nail trim. I hope this is taken seriously so no other pet has to go through this.

I called around and no one could do it this week until I called Bark Avenue. Jay was really nice and said he would work around my schedule. He was to arrive at 10a to start the salon services. He was running late but sent me a text to let me know and arrived at 10:30a. He and his mother (his partner was ill) took care of the 3 dogs and they were not nervous or skeptical. That says a lot because these 3 have been through so much and their confidence level is way below the radar. He cleaned everything up, vacuumed and left the place clean. I was able to use the Yelp deal so it only cost me $120 for the 3 dogs, and that included de-shedding for 2 of them (where others wanted to charge up to an additional $25). I would definitely have Jay back to take care of my dog and any other fosters I may have. Thanks, Jay and Mom!

He asked me to text him confirming the appointment time and my address, which I did. Unfortunately today I called them at 9am after never receiving a response to my text. They didn't answer, but called me back at 11 after me texting them asking them to please confirm my appointment since I work full time and would need to come home. He told me that he didn't have any record of my appointment, and even when I sent him the screen shot of me confirming the appointment he told me he never received it and that he was sorry. Long story short- they didn't even offer me another appointment or some way to apologize/rectify for the error (discounted groom? Come by on their day off?) and even though they were polite on the phone I wouldn't recommend such a disorganized professional service to any friends. I mentioned that their Yelp reviews seem to reflect lots of missed appointments and he said it was just the two of them so unfortunately that's why. I really think Bark Avenue should look into hiring an assistant for scheduling, or an online platform for booking appointments. You are losing a lot of dog-loving, paying customers by losing appointments and not offering any kind of consolation for the mistake on your end.

Their prices are a bit lower than others and I LOVE that they offer Dremel nail service, which is perfect for dogs with long quicks. That confirmed my decision to try this place. It has been a challenge finding anyone who can trim one of my pug's long quicks without hurting him, so I was excited. I dropped the pugs off at 1pm and they were ready around 4:45pm on a Friday (they recently changed grooming services to Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays). The pugs were happy upon pickup and continued throughout the evening as well as smelled pleasant. Their nails looked amazing, and no bleeding occurred. The groomer even showed me her Dremel tool and the safety feature on it to protect dogs' nails. It is always a concerning risk to try a new groomer for various reasons, and I'm so glad I chose Pierre's. I also like that I only needed to show updated rabies vaccinations and not additional shots like many places require simply for grooming. The owner Jobbi managed the phones from the first time I called about pricing and services to scheduling to picking up the pugs. He is extremely friendly and conversational; I never felt rushed. Pierre's is in a cute little house right on Lovers Lane with easy access. I highly recommend them for grooming!
