I made an appointment in advance this morning online. It was easy. The ladies up front were professional and helpful. I arrived 3 minutes late. One of the women behind the window informed me I needed to sign in using the kiosk and have a seat. I did that, shortly after I was called to the window for my ID and insurance card for copies to be made. Took a seat in the waiting area and within minutes I was told to take a seat in room two. The phlebotomist came in and took my labs. The process was quick and painless. I had a good experience. read more

The totally messed up my labs and not only took the wrong test but they sent the labs to the wrong provider. Customer service was terrible. Do not go here. read more

The phlebotomist was really good. Blood draw was painless. The company as a whole is run terribly. They send bills in mail and each bill has to be accessed separately with a code- can't pay all bills at once and if you lose the paper bill there is no way to find your bill online. I lost my insurance while pregnant and in the interim they refused to give me self pay rate bc they wasted their time trying what they had on file which denied. Customer service was rude and there was a language barrier. I then had trouble finding the paper bills to pay and they sent to collections after only a couple months. medical bills are supposed to give more time but it would have been paid if they had a system that puts all your bills on one account instead of accessing with individual codes. read more

I've used CPL for years and have never had a bad experience. This was my first time at this location and I will not be returning. The employees as well as other customers were extremely rude accusing me of cutting and line and cheating to get ahead. Mind you I had an apt at 7:30 am and showed up at 7:15. read more

There is no where to sit and they only have two people drawing blood. One of them has to keep coming to front to check people in. They should have a specific person checking people in. The wait is ridiculous. If doctor would have sent me to different lab, I would have preferred going to a different lab like Quest Diagnostics who are always efficient and friendly. They have two women who don't seem happy working here. They definitely need more people drawing blood here and should have 3-4 people doing this. This lobby is tiny and it is overcrowded and they don't seem to care to get the people out of here. As you can see from pics, people are standing and are even blocking doorway. read more

The intake person was awful. She had no compassion for customers and was not helpful in any way.

Look these ratings should be a wake up call for these people but clearly aren't. I left there today after back and forth not having my orders and them being so rude to myself and towards my Dr's office. I drove miles out of the way to go somewhere else. read more

The staff and everyone were very nice, helpful and I did not have to wait very long at all.. The actual CPL office was clean and tidy, but the building that CPL is located in is absolutely filthy.. the floors and carpet were very stained and hadn't been mopped or vacuumed - the garbage cans were overflowing, and it needs a fresh coat of paint. read more

During the heat of the coronavirus while Kyle Tx is the fastest growing city in Hays country for Covid19 cases... this lab was crowded and many patients weren't asked to wear a mask or wait in their cars. Went in for a simple blood work and had to wait in this mess for 30mins past our appointment. I don't appreciate a healthcare company taking backseat to simple steps for social distancing. read more

Was pleasantly surprised. I had little wait and the staff was friendly and skilled at their jobs and the office was clean.

So, I had a confirmed appointment for some lab work for today. I ended up meeting up with a friend for a late lunch, but left with plenty of time to get here. When I arrived, there ks a sign in the door stating they are closed for the 4th of July. I'm guessing they knew this when I made the appointment on June 28th. If they decided after, you would think they would call and reschedule. Wonder if they are going to give me a discount for not making my appointment? read more

My son had to go here to have his blood drawn and drop off a cheek swab. We get there at 7:45 am and it was standing room only. There was not a seat to be had in the waiting room and the waiting room was very hot. We try to check in and the doctor did not fax the paperwork over. She tells my son to sign in because its going to "be awhile" before he is seen. We had a specimen that needed to be refrigerated and they did not seem to care. We left to go home and get the paperwork from the doctor. Before going back, I called their San Marcos office. I asked how busy they were and was told I could be seen immediately. Ironically, the level of service I got down in San Marcos far exceeded Kyle. What is even more ironic is the folks from San Marcos are going to be working at Kyle. If you are considering on coming here for Lab work, save yourself a trip. You are better off going to one of their other locations. read more

Business supposed to be open from 7:30 to 5:30. (Good luck with that!) Often the receptionist is not on time and a line has formed 6 or more strong. The phlebotomist or lab person who takes your blood or does the testing does not always show up until 8:00ish. It amazes me that a company, who you would think would want business and try to do a good job... does not seem to care about these things. It must be due to the Obama care swindle. Whatever the reason, don't expect much from this lab... whether it be answering the phone with a smile (never happen) or getting you in and out... so that your short stay with them doesn't turn into a long one and add to your pain. Up-date: My Insurance was supposed to pay for my blood work on my physical. But got a bill almost immediately for the entire amount. (They used my old records and insurance info. which, of course was rejected.) Finally, after all was straightened out (I gave them the info on the day, they took my blood.) - it cost me about $85.00 - Don't ask me why? Never could understand... not a co-pay. I can only guess that this $85.00 was above the usual and customary charges for one of the tests, so the insurance company paid most, but not all. read more

A sign on the door of the clinic said "Walk in." Walk-ins were not accepted. A staff member came to the receptionist and handed her a stack papers. The representative told me this would take a while. She was recording numbers from a huge sheet of paper on to the computer. The line behind me was going to the end of the hall. I asked if she could do this later. No, the numbers have to be in the computer. Okay, writing the numbers into the computer can be done after closing time. When there is a room filled with patients do not keep people standing when something can be taken care of later. read more

Been here twice. Yes it's busy, but I give two stars for not having to drive in to Austin cause traffic. Staff are great despite the heavy load in the morning. Go mid afternoon, You won't regret it. read more

With the Covid going on, I believe they are doing a good job of doing everything they can to keep us safe. I am so glad they offer appointments now to minimize sitting in the waiting room with other people. I have gone many times to CPL and only had to wait (before Covid) for what I thought was an extended amount of time once or twice. Blood draws have all gone well. I'm really glad they are in Kyle! read more

I went to CPL to turn in a specimen for labs ordered by my Doctor and to have blood drawn for additional labs ordered by the same Doctor. I have been going to this CPL location for 6 months and had always had a good experience. However this time was ridiculous. The front desk person could not get my name correct, I spelled it out 3 times and finally provided my drivers license. I explained to her that my lab orders were sent electronically by computer from the Doctors office. She continued to shuffle through the papers around the desk. I explained again the orders would be electronic, to which she returned my drivers license and slammed the window in the reception area in my face. I asked to her to help me understand what was going on, to which she stood and walked out of the service area. Another young lady came up to finish checking me in, found the orders on their computer and had me go to the back area so they could draw the blood. I asked for the original ladies' name and they refused to provide the information. I called the supervisor but had to leave a message. Overall, I was shocked by the treatment of the staff at this location. I will not return to this location. They are drawing my blood and processing my Doctor's lab orders; their unprofessionalism has me concerned to allow them to do any lab work going forward. read more

I recently went to have my blood drawn for my annual physical that would occur the following week. When I arrived there was a line of approximately 12 people standing in line down the long hallway outside of their office & three people sitting in the waiting room. Several people waiting in the hallway were senior seniors & some were handicapped and were having difficulties standing up for long periods of time as wait time was in the range of 35 yo 45 minutes. I strongly suggest that you put some chairs out in the hallway so those that are waiting will have a place to sit down! On the plus side, the new admin. asst. lady was good about getting your paperwork from you to keep the "ball rolling". There were only two phlebotomists working that day. This lab is always busy, so it would be great if they had an additional phlebotomist working at this location. Food for thought......this location now takes appointments, so next time I will definitely go that route. read more
