The computer then matches you up with your appointment record and whatever test was ordered by your doctor. It also notifies the one employee that you have arrived. The phlebotomist who works there is really very nice, quite patient and easygoing, so she puts one at ease. I was the only patient during my late afternoon visit.

If she had come to the door early on and explained the situation I would have tried to reschedule, instead she had no regard for the several other patients who were waiting. My insurance company requires that I use Labcorp, but I will drive to Austin instead and try my luck there.

Medical appointments can come with some worry and anxiety, and Liz treated me with genuine dignity and respect. That matters so much in patient care. I truly appreciated the kindness and professionalism from both Susanna and Liz and the care I received throughout my visit.

MRI- I was scheduled for a MRI. The 1st it had to be rescheduled and I paid the estimate. The…read moresecond time it had to be rescheduled because although I communicated when scheduling that I had a temporary device inserted, I was not told to bring the office report that it was removed. It would have been simple for the tech to simply call the providers office to have it faxed but she chose to send me away. I was told to bring it on the next appointment. Not fast track was made so I had to wait a long time to get a new appointment. That being said, this time when I scheduled I let the staff know the issue and that I now had the permanent device implanted. I asked about if I had to bring it they said no, just the medical card and device program. I then uploaded the information about my device including a photo of the card. I then received a call from the corporate office about the information I had already uploaded. I called back and told the person who called me it had already been uploaded. She said that was all she needed and I was good to go. I arrived early for my 9:20pm appointment. The person who checked me in and the tech Josh were respectful. I dressed for my exam. Allison, who works at the Westlake and Kyle offices. the MRI tech is completely disrespectful. She called someone else who remained on the phone. A they spoke I came to understand that I would need to reschedule, because I did not bring the excise report from the trial, even though the control module I had turned off both devices including the trial that had been removed. I indicated I understood I needed to reschedule. And that I specifically asked the scheduler who indicated it was unnecessary. Then Allison felt the need to scold me telling me well you were TOLD.... This was completely uncalled for. She could have simply said yes ma'am, I'm sorry but we will still need that report for liability purposes. Not begin to argue or scold me. I told her several times she did not need to speak anymore, but she kept trying to in an effort to put me in my place. She is very rude and lacks the bedside manner required to deal with patients. I would recommend she go to training so she understands it is not ok to be confrontational. Thank heavens my insurance covers me at Baylor Scott & White where they take the time to train staff and things that are necessary are handled well before the patient gets to the office. I have always used ARA in the past, but now I understand that, as a paying customer, one who ultimately funds these facilities, we do not need to subject ourselves to rude, discourteous, disrespectful and misinformed treatment to receive the services that we require. In addition to which they have kept my money for 8 months. I vote DO NOT continue to fund these institutions by continuing to provide them with your patronage. Just say yes to Baylor Scott & White and no to Austin Radiology Associates.

The person who helped me through this process had such a polite and warm demeanor..and amazingly beautiful hair--not to be weird, lol--I'm someone with extreme anxiety about going to doctors or being in settings like this, but he helped me feel welcome and comfortable even after showing up a few minutes late to my appointment. The overall process was incredibly fast and straight forward, and I didn't feel like I was burdening or inconveniencing the staff which is something I always feel nervous about... To the person who helped me out on Monday, thank you for seeing me and for being so kind. You really made this process feel safe for someone who hasn't had the greatest experience with medical professionals/environments, I wish I would have asked for your number or something because I would totally dye your hair for you I was just soooooo so nervous and overwhelmed when I came in for my urine test You are so sweet and I hope you get to have your red hair someday, and maybe I could even do it for you!! The customer service & bedside manner was next level, the kind you rarely find these days and definitely won't find at Ascension Seaton (AS). We had a devastating emergency yesterday, and went to Kyle ER after a horrible experience at AS. The receptionist, nurse, doctor, and specialists they brought in were amazing to work with, and helped me to feel comfortable in such a scary situation. I am beyond grateful for the help of Kyle ER yesterday and highly recommend them.

Okay. It's a free standing ER. They arent in network with anybody. This will NOT be a cheap visit,…read moreperiod. They don't balance bill after your insurance pays them (plus whatever your portion is, under insurance). I did their detox program. While I didn't like not being able to interact with anybody other than staff (I mean, it's a hospital setting, so...), they have Roku Tvs with Netflix in the rooms, and you can sign into any of your own services. Jason and Tina in particular are amazing, but I had no negative experiences with anyone working there. I will say, if you're there long enough for a meal, it's going to be a frozen dinner that they throw in a microwave. The upside is you have an exact calorie and carb count, if that matters (I'm on insulin, I have to dose based on carb intake - they let me self administer since I'm on an insulin pump). At one point they apparently would order from restaurants, but that probably cut into the CEOs hush fund too much (joking) Thr care is great. The food is terrible (I mean... It's a frozen dinner). The bill will max out your deductible (and likely your out of pocket even on a HDHP). But they truly do care, and they've stayed in touch to see how I'm doing. They don't send patients that are in need of ICU to the ICU until the last minute. And don't get me started on the palliative care doctor. She doesn't listen to your decision and continues to push her opinion, regardless if you're educated yourself. Overall they need to do so much better. I wouldn't go to this hospital.

Joan way my technician and she was so pleasant and friendly. Made the process less stressful and efficient. She gave clear directions and only had to redo one item. The changing rooms were nice with and according style door with magnets so it's not just a sheet covering the opening like other places. Their call back system is inoperable, also hangs up on you. Seems no is able to help the patient at ARA. Other diagnostic practices are much more patient friendly. The staff at William cannon location is wonderful but owners/ managers seem uninterested in the patient welfare.
