I specifically requested the use of a sod cutter and commercial grade landscape fabric. The landscape fabric began ripping and pulling out within hours. Some portions were layered with multiple scraps. They removed dead grass and some dirt with a combination of shovels and a tiller I provided. They did not have the right tools or materials. They assured me they could remove the sod and would also spray the remaining roots so it would not return. I reached out about the poor landscape fabric within 24 hours. 9 days later when boulders were placed it was apparent that in most areas the sod was not removed at all. They did not spray the grass deterrent. When I spoke to them 9 days later they made many excuses for the poor quality of work, and blocked me on their contact number and all accounts. If I could give zero stars, I would. I'm writing this to warn others stay far away from this…read morecompany. They are scammers, plain and simple. Not only did they do a terrible job, but they also overcharged for their so-called "services." What's worse, they took credit for work they didn't even do work that was completed by someone else entirely. When I brought this up and tried to resolve the issue calmly, they didn't take any responsibility. Instead, they got angry and even threatened me. This is not just unprofessional it's downright shady. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Avoid them at all costs.

Unfortunately, my experience with Cornerstone Landscape has echoed that of Mr. Brian M below…read more I contacted Cornerstone based on their solid reviews on Yelp and other sites. I also was told the soonest Scott could come out was in three weeks. On the day of the appointment, I called to confirm the appointment window and the office assistant confirmed that I was scheduled for a 3p to 5p window. Had to leave work early to meet the window (not a problem, planned it in advance). Scott never showed up. Waited until 5:30p before calling to get an update, but the office was closed and I was directed to Scott's voicemail by the automated answering machine. Left a voicemail. I called back first thing the next morning to explain the situation and the office assistant took my phone number so she could call me back after talking with Scott. I never heard back. I called one more time the next business day and left another voicemail. I still have not heard anything back from Scott or the office assistant. It really sounds like Scott and his team do great work, but I have not experienced the prompt or courteous responsiveness that others have. I understand that things happen sometimes, but a business should always communicate with its customers when a scheduling issue arises. ***************************** UPDATE Scott called me personally this morning to apologize for missing the appointment last week. The lack of communication appears to be due to the office logging an incorrect area code on my phone number. My subsequent calls alerted the office to the error. I'm giving Scott and his team the benefit of the doubt and we are going to try to meet again tomorrow. Upgrading my review to a 3s for now.
