In need of having some trees cleaned up and thinned, I called an arborist out to get a quote, only to learn that two large trees in my front yard were beyond saving, and needed removed. Dismayed, I got 5 additional quotes, and I'm so glad that I did. Henry was the last person to come by, and I knew from the moment I met him that he was the right guy for the job. Down to earth, incredibly knowledgeable, and passionate about his work, I hired him on the spot. The work itself was exceptional. Eight guys showed up and busted their butts all morning, with the removal and trimming. We felt so bad with the texas sun blazing that we ended up buying lunch for the crew. They did an excellent job, cleaned everything up very well, and performed all the work as promised. In fact, one of my downspouts took a whack from a limb (accidents happen) and the manager Josh immediately committed to replacing it. We recently had some issues with the leaves falling off our pecan trees and asked for an arborist to come out and look. We called Arborist USA which is where we met Henry. He came out very quickly and gave us a free estimate. Henry easily identified the solution to our problem and offered to trim our trees as well. We agreed on to pricing and timing and his guys came out and got started. Shockingly, I found these guys did a better job than I could have ever asked. The trees were trimmed perfectly, nothing was damaged, the debris put through a shredder and then hauled off. The young men doing the work, were all very courteous and respectful to both my wife and me. When the job was completed, it exceeded all expectations. The only thing I wish I would have done was taken before and after photos because it is still hard to believe the difference they have made. If anyone needs their trees trimmed or has a sick tree, I fully recommend Henry and his team with USA Arborist. I will definitely be asking them to back to my home. read more

I used this service fall of 2018. To say they did an amazing job is an understatement. They all were amazing. I ended up being told about them from my neighbor that lives behind me. So we both decided to have our yards done at the same time. Also, a neighbor on the other side of her joined in. Arborist USA/Henry had two teams of workers for the three yards. They were here almost all day but that was a great thing because it meant they took their time treating the trees and trimming them too. I would much rather have an exact type job then a rushed one that could be messed up. I have about 6 major Oak trees in the front yard and wax Myrtles, oaks, and more in the back too. Arborist USA did outstanding work. My yard looked amazing when completed. I honestly would tell anyone that this is the company to hire. They may not be the cheapest out there nor are they the most expensive. But I felt that all the workers gave 110% and worked hard. My husband and I contacted Henry in early May 2019 after our mature post oak did not bloom this spring (all 5 others had). We were give his name by a neighbor who had started using him. This was prior to pool construction that was going to begin in our back yard. We delayed construction to see if the tree would bloom, and after a few weeks, once the other 5 mature post oaks bloomed, it was obvious our tree was dead. We called Henry and he confirmed it. Henry met with myself and my husband and said the tree needed to be removed, it was imperative that the other 5 trees needed the dead wood removed, and they all needed an aggressive chemical treatment to ensure they would not die as well. In addition, he would continue to look after the trees for the next 2 years, chemically treat them if needed and if anything happened to the trees he treated, he would remove them. The package price was $5500. When we asked, what happens if you treat the tree with the chemicals and the tree dies, he said he removes any dead tree that HE has TREATED within that warranty period and it was part of the $5500 package. This was reiterated to both of us multiple times. After we agreed to this, we followed up with the neighbor and he also confirmed that this was the deal he was also offered by Henry. (we have since spoken with another neighbor who showed us his contract that also states this deal). I looked at the reviews of Henry's business and all seemed well, per the reviews. Henry's tree removers arrived a few days later, left an invoice on our porch (which omitted the portion where he would remove the tree he treats should it die) and they began removing the tree. We requested to save a portion of the trunk of the tree, which the workers did. A small portion of tree remnants were to be stacked for some firewood and the rest hauled off. At about 4 pm, it begin to sprinkle outside, and the workers left saying they would return the next day to finish the clean up and cut the dead wood out of the tree, as Henry had promised us in the $5500 deal. They said it was too dangerous to work in the rain. They left chopped wood through out the yard, some piled in the yard, and no dead wood cut out of the 5 other post oaks. After 2 days we followed up to see when they would be back to complete the job, and Henry said that was never part of the deal (we would soon learn, this would occur frequently). It took several calls and arguments with Henry to get this issue resolved. 3 weeks later a crew finally arrived to complete that task (by this time, my sons had already moved most of the wood and stacked it themselves). However, the 2nd crew that arrive was difference from the first and worked quickly and efficiently. In July 2019, we noticed another mature post oak which had bloomed fully in April, was declining. Henry treated this tree in May. We called him and he treated it again in July, but it continued to rapidly decline. We called him again, and he said he could do no more. We said when can you remove it, and he told us a date and that it would be $4500 to remove it. From there, things spiraled downhill quickly. I could not believe the lack of professionalism and fraudulence we were dealing with, and that it was all via text message. In our original meeting, Henry stated that removal of a dead tree that he treated was part of the $5500 warranty but he was telling us that was were completely wrong in thinking that, and in 25-years he has never done that. However neighbors showed us their invoices that have that exact removal written in their contract so he clearly makes that promise. My husband and I were very misled. When I talked with neighbors who had dealings with him, they expressed they were also having issues with him changing his mind on what he promised them upfront. When I brought this to Henry's attention, he threated to sue me if I made any of this know, he said his wife was a lawyer, and said that I have been warned. I relied heavily on this business's strong reviews, but I can see now that he threatens people with lawsuits whenever they say they will let people know about unethical business practices. Unfortunately my experience with Arborist USA was not the best after having chosen them based in part on their reviews and that they are insured. Henry came out and quoted me a day rate to remove 2 trees in total, and treat and trim a single low branch on the remaining tree in our backyard. The main reason I wanted the biggest tree removed was because it was growing between the main power line at the back of the property and where it leads into the house (old neighborhood) and we had a branch fall at a previous property and wanted to avoid any potential headaches at the new house. This did not happen. The crew starts work and less than an hour later they've blown a power line. Henry calls and tells me I have to call Oncor to report the emergency because they're not authorized to do so and to have them cut trees back 5' since they're the only ones authorized to work around trees and power lines. I've since learned Oncor will only cut back 2'. He insists it's an accident and the wind caught the branch even though there was no wind that day. I'm sure it could have just been a fluke thing or a touch of over confidence but the problem was he had the crew just up and leave. Says it was to be out of Oncor's way but it was very clear it was because they didn't want to be around when Oncor showed up. I actually called the fire department to come check the area because the line was laying in a side street with a couple cones around it and I had zero clue if it was live or not. So me and the FWFD waited for Oncor who confirmed it was not live. Oncor couldn't get a work crew to get the power back on to nearly 20 houses for over 11 hours, and apparently they were so pissed they threatened to sue if Arborist USA let this happen again.  Henry insisted "it was an accident, these things happen, the line actually hit one of my guys but he was fine so thank god no one was hurt" and basically dealing with the thought that someone nearly died on my property had my heart racing. I guess I'd suggest getting a copy of their insurance before they start any work and not paying in full up front if possible.  They did finish the job 4 days later and the crew did great with the minor exception of going a little saw-happy on my one remaining tree which I could see happening on the cameras but was caught on a call and couldn't stop immediately. It wasn't major, just not what I had asked for. Henry was apologetic and wanted "to make up for the sins of the past" and presumably keep my business and offered to treat a few trees in the front yard and I accepted. He let me know on a Tuesday they'd be out the next day. I texted him Thursday asking if that was still part of the plan. He let me know he "didn't give me clarity" and that actually they'd be out Friday. Well, it's Monday and no one ever showed up.  Chances are you won't be as unlucky as me but don't pay in advance and get that insurance up front from whoever you hire and good luck! read more

About a month after I moved into my home in Keller, one of the branches on a tree in the front started dying and turning yellow. I was worried the whole tree was dying and I know nothing about this having mainly lived in apartments. I emailed arborist USA and they were very prompt in their response and set up a time to come out and give me a free consultation. They were very communicative when working with my schedule. They arrived on time and inspected the tree and informed me what the issue was immediately and gave me detailed info on what steps I could take next along with a quote. I decided to have them take care of the issue and they did right then and there. It was very quick (they had to cut off the affected branch and start a root treatment) and didn't take long at all. They were extremely friendly and professional and worked with what we wanted. Also quoted us for a tree trim which was nice. I would definitely recommend these guys. read more
