Select Door completely washed their hands because they said Hoelscher does not provide any warranty. Hoelscher should be ashamed of themselves selling these obviously defective doors! Lesson learned, should have just gone with Home Depot or Lowes where they have decent warranties.O

He gave me options and made suggestions while respecting my priorities. When he came to do the work, I was blown away at his professionalism. I had Jesse repair ceiling cracks from foundation settling in an older home. He took time to explain how he repaired it and even took care to match my ceiling texture. I'm so grateful and impressed by Jesse and his spirit of excellence. Well done. I'll be using him for future projects!

They said they gauranteed their work; which meant charging us another service fee and just sticking the part back in.(See my review on DFW Garage Door Repair) We called Jason at Custom Door Service. He came out the same day, and for $20.00 less, replaced all the rollers, adjusted the spring, balanced the door and several other things. We found Freddie and his team to be top notch professionals. Freddie came right on time for our…read moreappointment. We wanted an electric gate on a slanted pavement. He answered all our questions expertly and emailed the estimate right away. We were impressed but thought that you just go with the first estimate although everything about these guys looked good. We checked a few others and found them wanting in so many ways. We decided to go with Freddie and couldn't have been more pleased. We were unsure of what we wanted and he patiently went through all our questions with thoughtful answers. This isn't a cheap purchase and we wanted it to be perfect. We finally decided on a arch with a 5' middle and 4' at the edges. We saw someone else's gate and it had a double arch at the top and we wanted that. It wasn't part of the original plan, but for only $150 more, they crafted the perfect gate for us. In fact, all gates are custom built. Instead of the small second arch we had originally seen, our second arch is a nice bold one inch wide arch. These people are artists and they work hard to get everything just as you want or better. (Because we all have similar problems and they know how to take care of things.) After we got all the details and pricing worked out, Freddie emailed me an invoice so that I could pay by credit card. Really nice and professional. It didn't take long for them to make the gate and make an appointment to install it. We had a few worries about long buried gas and water lines, but the crew listened to all instructions and drilled carefully. It took about 4 hours for them to construct the posts and put everything together. Then Rudy went through the details of working the gate with us and offered to change any settings. It has worked perfectly ever since and has made a nice change in our lives. We are happy not to move the old heavy gate back and forth for every trip out. It is a beautiful addition to our home.

Had them go ahead and do it for a steep price. It was very slow at opening and closing with limited range. But we tried to live with it. Turned out that the new system they installed was very slow. They didn't warn me up front about that. And didn't warn me I would only get 2 remotes. Had them return almost a year later because the system was getting worse over time. They fixed it for another $140 charge. Then I was having trouble with garage door after the worker left, which he had paired remotes with. I called 2 people to help me. They never called back. They're just not trustworthy and are too expensive, and need to work on describing to the customer what the details are of what they're paying for.

Note: Amost all of the work has been finished except for "D" above--because the home is old and needs retrofitting, the stereo install will need to wait. A few networking outlets need to be finished up and some of the TV's need to be hung (3 remaining). I can't tell you how highly I recommend Spencer and Sharif. These guys are intelligent, professional, well-spoken, hard-working, and give you a written quote that they stuck to. Both are incredibly talented and have the know-how of installing networking, wiring, home-theaters, etc. Spencer wanted me to install a home-theater using non-Bose equipment. That's okay. I'm a big Bose guy and wanted Bose--but that isn't because Spencer is anti-Bose. He just wanted me to get the most current, modern system possible. My issue was I already owned all this Bose and (older) Pioneer SXV-90 and Sony equipment. They worked in the middle of the Texas summer--in my home and attic. Did a phenomenal job. Spencer did inform me they're moving to a "per-hour" rate. He quoted me a $150/hour rate for my upcoming installations. It works out about the same as his prior quote. I TRUST THESE GUYS. I ENJOYED THEIR WORK ETHIC, THEIR CONVERSATION, THEIR INTEGRITY, AND HONESTY. I have to end this review because I've got to e-mail Spencer and have him come back for the remainder of the work. 10 STARS out of 5.
